Hi Stampers!
This week at The Cutting Cafe we are recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness so our assignment was to create a project using any of the Breast Cancer files. There are quite a few really neat ones available! I used two of the printable stamp sets on my project, the Think Pink and You Gotta Have Hope .
I knew I wanted to make a quilt card when we were given this assignment. Quilt cards are one of my favorite cards to make. Quilts just remind me of strength, warmth, and compassion... all things that are invaluable traits when you are battling this disease yourself, or being a support for someone who is. The pink ribbons on my quilt are from the Think Pink printable stamp set. I loved that this set came with designs in both black and also in pink. I printed the pink version of the ribbon squares. I sponged all the edges of my quilt pieces with Pretty in Pink ink from Stampin Up! The "Hope" sentiment and the sentiment on the inside of my card are both from the You Gotta Have Hope.
Here is a peek at the inside:
The designer paper I used is from Melissa Frances called Support and it is also a breast cancer design. I punched the "a" from this same paper and my number 4 is from the Simple Stories - Baby Steps 6x6 paper pack. I wanted to have the saying "Hope 4 a Cure" on my project. My grandma is currently battling this disease for the second time so this was an assignment close to my heart.
Hope you enjoyed today's card! Be sure to visit the inspirational post on The Cutting Cafe Blog later today to see how the other Design Team members projects and for your chance to win some prizes.
Happy Stampin!
Laura

Fabulous card Laura... I love how you've created a patchwork quilt with your squares, then shaped it. A perfect card also for the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.
Thanks for sharing it with us at In The Pink.. hope to see you here again soon!
