Look Who's A Big Girl Now!

Hi Stampers!

Wow! It has been AGES since I got to post anything on here! The other Design Team ladies have been doing an awesome job during my hiatus dealing with all our family emergencies keeping you inspired with their stunning projects. It really felt like things would never start to look up, but they finally are :)

I wanted to get back to my Design Team duties for The Cutting Cafe  for what short time there is left for this session. I have to say that Regina has been so amazing and supportive, and extremely patient while letting me take the time to handle everything going on with my family this last month and half. It really means the world to me. Thank you so much Regina!

Now you are going to have to go easy on me today because this is literally the first thing I have made in about a month! I felt like I was a new stamper - LOL! I even was shaking when I started to color because I didn't want to mess it up - LOL!

This week we got to use the SUPER ADORABLE new printable stamp set called Big Girl Elisha Jean and Friends. These are larger versions of Regina's adorable character stamps. I have to say that I really LOVE this size, they are so cute and fun to color. I used the Ruby. J. image from the set for my card.

I paper pieced her dress. The seed packet and watermelon are from Flourishes Stamps. My designer papers are from an old October Afternoon pad I had.

Here is a close up of Ruby. J.

I think she is super cute :)

And speaking of Big Girls... I thought I would share a few pictures of my little niece Zaena. She was born a little over 9 weeks premature. She has been gaining weight pretty steadily and is off her oxygen. She is starting to take milk from the breast and is doing awesome! She still has her feeding tube, but she is getting less through that every day. She is up to 4 lbs 4 oz now, so 2 more ounces and she will have gained a whole pound since she was born :)

Well, I better get this submitted! Be sure to check out The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog to see how my fellow teamies used their images! While you are there leave a comment and you could be this week's lucky prize winner of some free files from The Cutting Cafe! How fun is that?!?!

Thanks for stopping by today! It feels good to start getting back in the swing of things :)

I ♥ Chocolate

Hi Stampers -

Just a quick post from me this afternoon to share my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe. This week was all about ... KISSES! HERSHEY's KISSES that is! This week we could chose from an assortment of files that all had to do with those yummy chocolate treats :)

Now...when we were given this assignment I was torn between two of my favorite Mo Manning images that both would go perfectly with this theme. So what do you do when you can't decide? USE BOTH!

So I decided to make a Criss Cross Card that way I could have one on the outside and one on the inside :)

I used the HERSHEY KISS SHAPED CARD TEMPLATE for the large Kiss on the front of my card. Instead of making the shaped card I used it as a layer on my card. I wanted the kiss to look like someone ripped some of the paper off and took a bite out of it - LOL....maybe the culprit is little Ms. Chocolate Face! My sentiment is from the Hershey Kiss Treat Box File.

Here is a look at the inside insert:

This cute image is another Mo Manning image that is available through her Penny Black line called Kisses. I wanted the inside to kind of look like an evelope so I cut up two different sentiments from the Hershey Shaped Card File and placed them around the image. My little postage style stamps are from a little Bo Bunny set called Prairie Chic Collection Clear Stamps. If you notice on the insert in the bottom right corner and also on the large Hershey Kiss on the front - those little circle punch images are from the Hershey Kisses Valentine Bottoms.

And finally a look at the whole thing...

Thanks for stopping by today! I better get this posted :) Be sure to visit The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog to see how my Design Teamies used their files!

Hugs!
Laura

Lil' Sweet Heart - Ruby J.

Hi Stampers!

Seems like F-O-R-E-V-E-R since I have got to post a REAL post! Our internet has been down since last Thursday and just came up yesterday so I have been in a mad rush trying to get everything caught up - emails, orders...crafty posts!

It will be a TWO-POST day for me today because I also need to post my projects that should have been posted yesterday...but first I want to share my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe.

This week we are starting some Valentine's Day Inspirations and I decided to use TWO of this week's files on my project - Elisha Jean and Friends - With a Big Heart Printable stamp set - I used the Ruby J. image for my card...and for one of my accents on my card I used some of the cute little 2" sized Bingo cards from the Valentine's Day Bingo Printable Stamp Set.

I used some of my Valentine's Day Papers from Authentique Lovely Collection. The Banner is actually the Heart Banner Die from La La Land, but I stamped little letters from the MFT Mini Banner Day Alphabet Stamp Set and then punched them out with a small circle punch and popped them over the heart cut outs with dimensionals. The little hearts that came from the banner I placed on the upper right side of my card. My Big letter B is from the My Favorite Things Vanity License Plate Die and Stamp Set. I sponged all my letters and papers with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain (LOVE THIS STUFF!)

Here is a close up of the little Bingo Cards from the Valentine's Day  Bingo Set:

I really love that these Bingo cards come in different sizes, it really lets you use them in lots of different ways and for many projects outside of Valentine's Day. You could use it for weddings, anniversaries, or just a because I love you project :)

Here is a close up of Lil Miss Ruby J.

I colored her with copics and then added some stickles for a little bling. Isn't she CUTE?!?!?

Well...I better get this submitted as I am super late today as it is... be sure to visit The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog and see what all the Design Team Members created with this week's super cute files!

I will be back in a little bit with my yesterday project!

Have a great afternoon and thanks for stopping by today!

You're SNOW Cool!

Hi Stampers!

Hope your week is going well. I am not feeling very good today so I am headed to the DR. this afternoon :(

Today is my Design team day for The Cutting Cafe. This week we had a real range of files to choose from...all the way from rainbows to snow! Now, even though I am so ready for Spring to arrive with all the rainbows and spring showers...I just received this super super super cute little snowman digi from The Doodle Garden called Rolly Polly Snow Baby and I just couldn't wait to use it on something so I knew I HAD to choose to use the Snow Word Shaped Card Template :)

Now, I don't have a cutting machine but Regina's files are still very usable by hand cutting which is what I did for this card. I used scissors around the outside and then a craft knife to cut the inside pieces. It really didn't take too long, so don't be afraid to try these types of files even if you don't have a cutting machine. Her files are very user friendly!

The little hat and mittens are part of the Snow Word file. I paper pieced them using papers from the Echo Park Winter Wishes Collection and then added liquid applique for the trim. My sentiment is from the Some Odd Girl Winter Friends stamp set.

I thought I would give you a little peek at what I have been working on...

These are my piles of new WHIFF OF JOY stamps that I have been working on adding to our store...yep...not done yet but getting closer :)

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog to check out what my fellow design team members created! Also while you are there...leave some love for the team and be entered in a chance to win some free files of your choice! Awesome deal!!

Now I am off to lay down for a bit before my DR Appt....

Have a great day all!

Ready to POP!

Hi Stampers!

This week I was able to combine my Design Team Projects for Crafty Sentiments Designs, The Cutting Cafe AND our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week!

This week starts the new Design Team Term for The Cutting Cafe so we could chose any file we wished to work with. My niece, Trista, is expecting her first baby in May so I thought I would would use the cute Popcorn Box Template to create some treat holders for her baby shower.

I really loved this file because the popcorn boxes are all colored already along with many of the sentiments so all you have to do is print them, cut them out, assemble and decorate! So easy! You can choose from a pretty pastel blue for a boy, pink like I used or there is also a multi-colored pastel and a standard red one too! These would be cute for Easter Treats with the pretty pastels :)

I decorated the front of my Popcorn Box with one of my FAVORITE images from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Welcome Little One. This is such a beautiful image and so fun to color! I colored her with copics and then covered her dress with stickles. After it was dry I fussy cut her out and popped her on my box front with dimensionals.

After placing my image, I just added some  bling, my favorite rose trim that goes all the way around the box, and added the sentiment which comes in the popcorn file, then a few pieces of "popcorn" that is part of the set as well. After I cut the popcorn pieces out I sponged them with a little bit of yellow for the butter :) You can't have popcorn without butter!

This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs the challenge theme is Anything New. You could do New Year, New Baby - which is what I chose, New Home, Use your New Stash...loads of options!

Our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge is an easy one this week too...Anything Goes AND we are sponsored by The Cutting Cafe this week which makes it even better :)

Here is a closer look at my image...

Be sure to visit The Cutting Cafe Inspirational Blog on Wednesday afternoon to see what files the other Design Team Members chose. I love Free Choice Weeks because it is always neat to see what everyone chooses :)

We hope you will play along in our challenges at Crafty Sentiments Designs - Anything New and Loves Rubberstamps - Anything Goes....there are awesome prizes up for grabs at ALL THREE PLACES :)

I'll Toast to THAT!

Hi Stampers!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you had a safe and fun time last night. We stayed at home and watched movies. I made Austin and his friend John a "Mocktail" and Alicia, Tim and I tried a new drink called Liquid Skittles. It was ok, but I didn't have the right rum, so not sure if that would have made it a little better. It was really sweet and you could only drink one, which was fine because that was all we planned on having anyway ;)

Well, my home internet is working again (YAY!) hopefully it stays working for awhile! This week for The Cutting Cafe we had a Free Choice of what file we wanted to work with so I decided to combine my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe and my Inspiration Project for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge of New Year Resolutions. Here is what I came up with...

I used one of my FAVORITE New Year's Eve Printable Stamp Sets from The Cutting Cafe called Happy New Years. There are 23 images and sentiments in this set - including the two on the front of my Criss Cross Card. I LOVE the ..."Here's to another year of BAD HABITS!" sentiment! LOL! This is perfect for not only New Year's projects but you could even use it for Birthday's, Anniversaries...lots of fun things! This seems to sum up my "Resolutions" every year since I usually can only stick to them about 3 weeks if I am lucky ;)

I paired these fun sentiments with Opal the Optimist from my favorite Stamping Bella Line - Uptown Girls. I used memento tuxedo black ink to stamp her on crafter's companion ultra smooth white cardstock before coloring her up with copic markers. I also added some stickles to her dress and shoes. I added some rolled roses, which I also covered in stickles. The branches are from my Martha Stewart Branch Punch and the tab on my insert is created using the My Favorite Things Die-namics called Vintage Flourish. I added my super favorite flower trim that is actually from Stampin Up! along the bottom. I need more of this!

Here is a look at the insert pulled out...

And a Closer peek at the Resolutions list... :D

This Top Ten Resolutions list is also one of the images you get in the Happy New Years set from The Cutting Cafe!

Here is a close up of Ms. Opal.

If you remember yesterday I shared that one of the highlights of our Christmas was that I F-I-N-A-L-L-Y finished the afghan for my son, Austin, that I started 13 years ago when he was 3...here is a picture of him holding his afghan. This sucker is HUGE...Austin is 6'0 tall and as you can see this is plenty long enough! He totally loved it and said it was worth the 13 year wait....melt my heart :)

Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog this afternoon to see what files my fellow Design Team chose to use (always fun to see what everyone chooses on the free weeks!) PLUS Regina always draws a lucky winner from those who leave comments so be sure to do that as well!

We hope to see you play along in our New Year's Resolutions challenge at Loves Rubberstamps as well!

The Magic of Christmas

Hi Stampers!

Today I have a Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe for you! Before I share it...I do have to say that I am staying on their team for another term....WHOOT WHOOT! I have so much fun creating with Regina's awesome files that I had to stay for another session! I am so lucky that Regina chose me to stay on :)

This week we could choose from quite a few fun files...The 3D Christmas Ornament Set, The Christmas Ornament Shaped Card Set, Christmas Ornament Fun, and the Bulbs For The Tree Printable Stamp Set.

I decided to use the Bulbs for the tree stamp set to create a Clean and Simple card. CAS are hard for me but when I saw the images in this stamp set I knew that they would pair perfectly with one of my favorite images - Birdie Brown's Christmas Elf. The Sentiment and the Bulb spray across the top are both from the Bulbs For the Tree Set.

I colored everything with copic markers and then added some Gold dust in certain areas for shimmer! I hope you enjoyed my card! I actually have TONS more ideas for ways to use this stamp set...I am hoping to get some more crafty time soon and if so...you just may see some more projects from me using this cute and versatile stamp set :D

Now head on over to The Cutting Cafe Blog to see what gorgeous projects my fellow teamies have created for you this week!

If you get some crafty time ... be sure to show off your project in the Loves Rubberstamps Holiday Blitz Challenge! We are giving away TONS of prizes and will have multiple winners! It is Anything Goes theme so be sure to play along!

Christmas Stocking Box

Hi Stampers -

This week for my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe...we got to choose from a few different boxes that are perfect for giving as Christmas Gifts. We could chose from The Stocking Box, which is the one I chose, The Christmas Shape Milk Cartons, the Candy Cane Box Set, or the new Christmas Bag Toppers Set.

I used some of my most favorite Designer Papers from my hoard. These are from an old Stampin Up! set. I let the papers do the decorating for me, the top cuff is the design of the paper that I just traced for the cuff and then cut the flowers out so it looked like they spilled over. I cut another flower out and then popped it up with the tag. The sentiment is one that comes with the Stocking Box Set.

The stocking I made is the Large Size and I plan on placing some candy canes and a gift card wrapped in some tissue paper inside of it for one of our white elephant Christmas Gifts this year. Then I won't have to wrap it :) There is a small stacking that also comes in this set of templates.

This is the side of the box, I just used some more of the paper from this set.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to go check out The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog to see what my fellow teamies chose to create this week :)

Thanks My Crafty Friends...

Hi Stampers!

I am back with my combination - The Cutting Cafe and Loves Rubberstamps Design Team Project :)
If you are looking for my Crafty Sentiments Designs Project just scroll down :)

This week for The Cutting Cafe we could chose Any File we wanted to work with. I decided to use one that I have had for awhile but had not had a chance to use yet :) I chose the Copic Marker Box.

This week for our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge it is all about giving Thanks. You can make a Thank You Project for someone special, or make it Thanksgiving themed. I chose to create a matching Thank You Card for my Copic Marker Gift Box :)

Here is the set together:

This week for the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge we are being sponsored by Saturated Canary so the entire Design Team used Krista's adorable images :)

Here is a close up of just my Copic Marker Gift Box:

Here is a close up of my card:

The Sentiment on my card and on the Copic Marker Box both come with the Copic Marker Box Template.

Here is a close up of my flowers. The Cream colored one was created using the My favorite Things Die-Namics Rolled Rose Die. My Branch punchies are created using the Martha Stewart Branch Punch.

Here is a close up of the Saturated Canary Image - Sketchie! LOVE her :) I colored her with copic markers. I added some Frantage and sponged the edges with Old Paper and Walnut Stain Distress Inks using my Ink Blending Tool.

The Designer Papers that I used on both projects is the Winter Wishes Collection from Bo Bunny.

I also used this card sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces for my layout on the card:

This is their last card sketch challenge :(

Thanks for stopping by again today :) Be sure to play along in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week!

Also go check out The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog to see what files my fellow teamies chose to use this week :)

The Cutting Cafe - TURKEY TIME!

Hi Stampers!

I have a super late Design Team Project for you today! I have been having some issues with my computer that I use with my camera and haven't been able to upload my projects until it was fixed. Soooo...I am posting my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe TODAY! Again I am so sorry that this is late...but better late than never :)

This week we could choose from the Turkey Shaped Card, the Gobble Word Shaped Card or the So Thankful Circle Word Printable Stamp Set.

Now...I happen to think that Regina's Turkey File is the cutest Turkey you will ever see so I chose to use that one :)

I used some Mulberry Paper for the head and body to make him look soft and fuzzy. I used some scraps from My Mind's Eye Mabel paper pack. For the lay out I used this week's Simon Says Stamp Sketch.

I didn't have a banner die for the little sentiment piece so I just cut a strip of cardstock and folded the ends so it looked like a banner. My sentiment is from My Favorite Things Thankful Leaves Stamp Set. And of course I have to sponge EVERYTHING using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain :) I LOVE that stuff!

Well I better get this posted so I can let Regina know that my project is up finally! Be sure to check out The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Post and see what my fellow Design Team Members created using these files. There are some super cute ideas! While you are there be sure to leave a comment and you could win some FREE Cutting Cafe files of your choice if you are this week's lucky commenter :)

With Gratitude

Hi Stampers!

Today is my Design Team Day for The Cutting Cafe! This week Regina asked us to use the Grateful Word Shaped Card or the With Gratitude Printable Stamp Set.

I chose to use the With Gratitude Printable Stamp Set. I really loved this set because not only does it come with 75 images - yes really 75...but it has a great variety from sentiments, phrases to fun colored scallops, and background papers!

So here is what I came up with...

For my card I chose to use TWO of the colored background papers that come in this set - the stripes and the colored grateful words background. I really loved the colored word background because there are a TON of different sayings that you can also cut out separately and use for sentiments like I did for mine. The bottom scallop under the white flowers is one of the colored scallops that come in this set too!.

This sweet little angel is also available from The Cutting Cafe in a printable stamp set called Elisha Jean and Friends Sweet Angels printable set. I thought she would be the perfect little image to use for this project :) I colored her up with my copic markers. The glitter on her winds is from my Marvy Uchida Just Glitter Pen in Gold. After coloring her up I fussy cute her out and then placed her up on dimensionals.

For my card layout I chose to play along in the Papertake Weekly Free For All Sketch Challenge where you could choose any one of their sketches to use. I chose Sketch #69.

Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to check The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog on Wednesday evenings where you can see all of the beautiful designs by the Design Team using the week's assigned files! Regina also has a blog candy giveaway every week - you can win your choice of 3 of her amazing files of your choice...simply by leaving a comment on the blog post :)

A Treat From Your Mummy

Hi Stampers!

This week I combined my Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Project along with my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe. This week at the Cafe we were able to use any Halloween file of our choice. Well...I decided to use TWO of Regina's awesome files for my project :)

This week for the Loves Rubberstamps challenge you can chose to do a TRICK, which is to create a card with an interactive or movable element - like a slider card, swing card, viewmaster card...etc OR you could choose to do a TREAT - which is to create a Halloween Treat Holder. Now...Can you guess which I chose?

A TREAT!! Who WOULDN'T want to do a treat because that way you can munch on some goodies while you craft - LOL!!

Here is my project...

I decided to use the Cupcake Holder File  and I paired it with the Mind Your Mummy Set. I think they make a cute duo :) I was going to try and get this posted yesterday but I had to wait until I had time to bake the cupcakes first. If I would have baked them ahead of time...you would be looking at an EMPTY cupcake holder the way my husband and children inhale them! LOL!

Here is a closer peek at my Mummy Treat...

I covered the Cupcake Holder with Designer papers from the Doodlebug Halloween parade paper pack. I think this is my FAVORITE Halloween paper right now :) The tag is one that comes in the Mind Your Mummy Set and I just added a spider that I made with my Die-Namics Die Spider Web Set . My cupcake decorating skills need some work - LOL! I forgot to put my tip INSIDE my piping bag before I put all the frosting in it so I had to try and hold it on while I squeezed the bag. A little bit of a nightmare - LOL!

Here is a closer peek at my scary Mind Your Mummy Card...

I loved this file and it comes together so easily once you remember to print the wrapping diagram :) I love that this comes with different sentiments that you can use on the Mummy Wrap and they are already on the strip for you. I inked all my edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain. I added some red sparkly bling for the eyes and the little patches are part of the set. Now I HAD to add this adorable little witch Elphie from Saturated Canary. The look on her face is perfect...just like this Mummy has just snuck up on her - LOL! I colored her with copics. Because she is a little witch I wanted her hair to look a little magical so I added some doodle dots :)

Well...I better get this posted as I am late as it is! Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to play along in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge and do a TRICK or a TREAT!

Also ... check out the Inspirational Blog Post on The Cutting Cafe Blog to see what my fellow Design team members created for their Halloween Project! If you leave a comment on the post - each week Regina draws one lucky person who left a comment and they win THREE FREE FILES of their choice! How AWESOME is that?!?!

PS...As soon as I was done with my pictures...my husband came in and was like HEY are you done with that cupcake?!? And then he inhaled it - LOL...so the poor mummy cake is no more!

Have a great day all!

Coffee! Coffeee! Coffeeeee!!

Good Morning Stampers!!

We have a special COFFEE TREAT for you this morning! As you can tell I am excited as I love all things coffee! I am sipping a ginormous cup of Amaretto Coffee this morning... as we speak... with some hot chocolate in it to make it more of an Amaretto Mocha. No booze in it though...LOL...just Amaretto FLAVORED :) I am also drinking it out of my 20 oz soup mug that looks exactly like a massive, over-sized coffee mug soooo that is what I use it for - LOL! Half the pot in one cup...yes please! LOL! I think if they didn't want me to use it as a coffee mug...it shouldn't look like one :)

Indah has created an amazing amazing amazing and absolutely ADORABLE on so many levels project and video tutorial for you today!! Take a look...

Now what did I say...isn't this AMAZING!!! Indah created this cute little card using Cafe Ian from The Greeting Farm! I love this image and I think he is giggling at the size of my coffee cup since it IS almost as big as my head - LOL! Indah stamped him in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring him with copics. Her coloring is stunning! I really love the corrugated layers behind the image! C-H-E-C-K O-U-T that super cute designer paper! I really need to find some like that! It is so cute and it is totally one I would hoard use :)

Now check out Indah's Video Tutorial on how she created this super cute project!!

Be sure to leave Indah some love on her blog today and let her know what you thought of her project and video!! I know it mean a lot to her to hear what you think :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and having some coffee with me :)

Java a great day....I know I know...but I HAD to throw a coffee pun in here somewhere :D
