Let's Play

Hi Stampers!

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs and this week is EVERYONE'S FAVORITE...ANYTHING GOES!

For my project I decided to use the adorable My Best Friend rubber stamp and created a little outdoor scene with some clouds and grass...

I really like how the scene turned out! I am not sure how I feel about the letters though! I used the Thickers letters and they were plain sand colored so I colored them with the More Mustard Stampin Up marker which is supposed to match the cardstock I used but it was a lot darker than I wanted.

Here is a close up of my image:

I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week...remember it is ANYTHING GOES so no matter what crafty project you make...you can enter the challenge and there is a great prize this week so you will want to play along!

I will hopefully be back later today with another project for you for this week's new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge...be sure to check back later :)

Have a great day!
Laura

Hi Stampers!

It's Holly-Day Friday here! YAY! Only one more night of work before 2 much needed nights off...can't wait! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? We have our nephew's prayer benefit Saturday night and the rest of my time off I hope to get a little cleaning done and then get inky :) All while staying in my comfy PJ's as much as possible :D

Today we have a super super cute card from Holly using the Pirate Henry from the Roberto's Rascals collection from C.C. Designs.

I LOVE this card - it is so adorable! I really love the way Holly used the Frantage!! I have just loaded some Frantage kits into the store :) This stuff is addicting once you start using it - but so fun!! Holly's coloring is so pretty! I really love the layout and Designer papers too! Awesome way to start the weekend - getting a dose of Holly-Day Inspiration :)

Here is a list of products that Holly used on her card...

Coffee! Coffeee! Coffeeeee!!

Good Morning Stampers!!

We have a special COFFEE TREAT for you this morning! As you can tell I am excited as I love all things coffee! I am sipping a ginormous cup of Amaretto Coffee this morning... as we speak... with some hot chocolate in it to make it more of an Amaretto Mocha. No booze in it though...LOL...just Amaretto FLAVORED :) I am also drinking it out of my 20 oz soup mug that looks exactly like a massive, over-sized coffee mug soooo that is what I use it for - LOL! Half the pot in one cup...yes please! LOL! I think if they didn't want me to use it as a coffee mug...it shouldn't look like one :)

Indah has created an amazing amazing amazing and absolutely ADORABLE on so many levels project and video tutorial for you today!! Take a look...

Now what did I say...isn't this AMAZING!!! Indah created this cute little card using Cafe Ian from The Greeting Farm! I love this image and I think he is giggling at the size of my coffee cup since it IS almost as big as my head - LOL! Indah stamped him in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring him with copics. Her coloring is stunning! I really love the corrugated layers behind the image! C-H-E-C-K O-U-T that super cute designer paper! I really need to find some like that! It is so cute and it is totally one I would hoard use :)

Now check out Indah's Video Tutorial on how she created this super cute project!!

Be sure to leave Indah some love on her blog today and let her know what you thought of her project and video!! I know it mean a lot to her to hear what you think :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and having some coffee with me :)

Java a great day....I know I know...but I HAD to throw a coffee pun in here somewhere :D

Rock Star

Hi Friends and Stampers!

Happy Holly - Day Friday!  Whooo Hoooo it's the weekend!  What are your plans for the weekend?  Whatever it is, I hope you have a Rock Star weekend!

I love this stamp and die set, and I have many more plans for it!  My husband likes those video games with guitar hero and I have plenty of pics of those times to scrap, lol.   Same with my son. I used the Distressed backgrounds block and inked it up with Grey Flannel and then stamped it off once before stamping on the blue paper.  I inked up the Rock Star in Tangelo Ink.  I had a silver pen from somewhere, and colored in the embosses areas of the guitar to add some dimension.  I love this doodlebug paper, boys only,  and it's so perfect to use with this image.  What's more, I remembered I had it! lol.

Now I have to be a rock star this weekend and work, but I tell you, I have had the best day today that it makes up for it.  I'm still in my Jammies and I've had the oldies music cranking and I've just made cards and drank coffee, lol.   I feel so spoiled but I love being relaxed and having mojo all at the same time.

So while I am working, I hope you will get inky and join us for our current challenge!   You will also want to see the NEW ITEMS that Laura has been busy adding to the store!

Thanks for checking in on us,

Holly

And a Bottle of Rum!

Hi Stampers!

Happy Holly-Day Friday! I am excited because this is my REAL Friday too and I have 3 days off to get caught up on things after Super Nationals last week. Now that racing is over I told my husband that Saturdays will now be so boring with nothing to do - LOL! He suggested we go to a movie so we will see! Saturday is the Iowa/Iowa State game which is always a super busy night for the police department I work for, and they are hiring back personnel like crazy since it is in Ames this year...but lucky me ... I am off AND I am going to enjoy it :D I am not sure of I even want to brave going into town, will be a madhouse everywhere!

Enough blabbing by me :D Onto why you are here...to see Holly's super cute card that she has for your inspiration today!

What an AWESOME little boy card!! I love how Holly paper pieced her pirate to match her cool designer papers! That little whale is so cute! I love the little pirate flag and the waves are perfect against the flourish designed paper! LOVE this one! Masculine cards are so hard for me and Holly totally rocked it!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend! Remember tomorrow we have a new Video Tutorial from our Video Designer - Indah! Be sure to check it out - it will be AWESOME :)

Whimsy Stamps Guest Designer

Hi Stampers!!

I was lucky enough to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for this week's challenge at Whimsy Stamps! This week the theme is Masculine cards. I have to say that I find these one of my most challenging themes! Here is what I came up...

For my card I used the Whimsy Stamps Crissy Armstrong Digi called In The Doghouse. Pretty fitting for a "Masculine" card, huh? LOL! I printed the image out 3 times so I could layer the dog, flowers and grass to make it look 3D. I also popped the little bone on the house after adding some metal wire. I colored this with copic markers. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye and my embossing folder is a paw print one that is from the Sizzix Bears line. Not for sure exactly what it s called. I had to sponge everything with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain. I love this stuff!

Here is a closer peek at Tim  the little doggie!

Check out my doggie eyebrows! I added a little bit of liquid applique then puffed it up, colored it with copics, then took my pointy scissors and kind of made little "pokes" in the applique to make it look textured and kind of furry! All the sentiments that I used are from There She Goes Stamps. I hope that I have inspired you to play along at Whimsy Stamps this week!  I want to thank them for having me as a Guest Designer this week!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Laura

BOY ... OH BOY!

Hi Stampers!

Happy Holly-Day Friday! I hope you have an exciting weekend planned!  Tonight we are supposed to go out to eat with Tim's Sister and Brother to Olive Garden. I have never ate at an Olive Garden so I was looking at their menu online to try and see what I "should" eat that isn't too horrible for me - LOL! Trying to make better meal choices eating out is tough sometimes! They do have a "Lighter Side Menu" that has some pretty yummy sounding things so that helps :)

I am glad that today FINALLY arrived because I have to tell you...Holly had created her super cute card that I am sharing with you today a couple of weeks ago and it has been sitting in my Holly folder torturing me because it is so darn cute!! I wanted to share it right away and not have to wait - LOL! So finally ...I can share it!! YAY!

Isn't this the most adorable little boy car EVER??? I love this image! This is the Morehead Boy stamp set from Crafter's Companion. This line is retiring from Crafter's Companion so if you want them...get them ASAP! Not sure how much longer we are going to have them!

Holly did such an amazing job coloring this cutie up! I love the designer papers, the layout...EVERYTHING! The inside is super cute too, especially with the Barb Wire Fence Die-Namics!

Here is a list of what Holly used on her card:

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit Holly's Blog and let her know how adorable this little guy is!
Have a great day!

Feeling KRAFTY!

Hi Stampers!

I am SUPER... OVER THE MOON EXCITED!! I just received an email from a very well known, mega talented stamp artist and she has chosen our store as one of the select few that will get to carry her stamp line!! She is limiting the retailers to just a small handful so I am super excited we get to be one of them! I have admired her work for a LONG time! I am going to keep it a surprise for a bit though...but I can promise you will LOVE her stamps!

We also want to thank everyone that applied for our Design Team term for the September - December session! We had so many amazing entries - that Holly and I will have our hands full narrowing our choices! It won't be easy as we feel every person that applied had something very unique and special to offer and would make a great addition to our team.

Today is Monday so that means we get to see a mega dose of cuteness from Olivia! Yay!

Olivia chose this super cute image from The Greeting Farm's Oliver and Amelia series. She colored him up using copic markers on Kraft paper. I love the look of this style, but I think it is a little intimidating until you just try it! It creates a neat look I think. That gorgeous designer paper is from the Crate Paper Farmhouse CollectionHer sentiment was layered on to a super cute mini doily created using the Mini Doily Die-Namics Die Set from My Favorite Things.

Totally adorable and such a cute masculine or boy card! LOVE it!

You still have a few hours to get in on this week's Loves Rubberstamps Skinny card challenge! It is fun to try a new size card once in awhile! I never would have thought I would love the skinny card size until I tried one! You should try one too and then show it off in our challenge :)

Have a wonderful day all & thanks for stopping by!

Take It Easy

Hi Stampers!

Hope you had a great day today! Mine was busy getting a bunch of orders packed and shipped. I also did some organizing to try and get things set up so it is a little quicker for me to get new stuff listed :) We have so many exciting new things coming - it is going to be AWESOME!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at Grandma's because I had lined up having the Pink Heals Tour stop by her house as a surprise! They brought two pink fire trucks and the Pink Heals RV and brought Grandma flowers. They were even carnations which are her favorite :)

Here are some pictures...

She really enjoyed herself! We also got an exciting proposition from the CEO of the tour...they wanted to know if we would wrap our race car in the Pink Heals theme! So we took the car to a wrap guy today and they will be creating a design! I will post pictures of the race car when it is done :) Should be pretty cool!

Anyway ... on to why you stopped by today...to see Ceal's adorable card!

Lawn Fawn ~ Interlocking Backdrops & Dad's Day
Distress inks

Ceal created this cute clean and simple design that is so adorable. I love the pretty teal blue color and the way she did the backdrop. This would make a great masculine style card as well!

I think I am going to take a cue from Ceal's card and go relax on the couch for awhile. Hopefully I won't fall asleep...LOL! I will hopefully get some new things in the store later this evening...as long as I stay awake - LOL!  :)

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

Oh Boy! Masculine Themed Week!

Hi Stampers!

I really have missed chatting on here - however Holly has been doing A-M-A-Z-I-N-G at keeping the inspiration flowing while I have been taking care of Grandma, which means the world to me! Grandma sees the surgeon on Wednesday to see how her leg is healing and to see if she can start putting weight on it. She thinks that once she is cleared to walk that also means she is clear to go home but I told her she needs to be able to walk first and be able to get around ok. So we will see! Other than that, I have been busy trying to get orders out and emails caught up AGAIN! Seems like everytime I get a little ahead something else happens!

Anyway ...all last week I tried to sneak in a few minutes of crafty time here and there to get my Design team project done. This week it is masculine themes at both the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge and Loves Rubberstamps Challenge so my project will be inspiration for both challenges! That worked out great because with the limited crafty time it literally took me about 5 days to get this done - LOL! One night I colored the pieces for my boy in the chair, another night I cut all the pieces out and paper pieced it together! One night I colored the dog and other pieces, the 4th night I made the stage and cut the cardstock pieces, the last night put it all together! That was the longest drawn out project I had ever done, when usually it would take me a good solid, one evening since I am a slow crafter anyway - LOL! Oh well, it's done, it is cute and it, I hope anyway, will inspire you to join the challenges this week!

I created a Pop Up Stage Card so there are a lot of pictures...

Here is the outside...

The sentiment background is created with the Dad'isms stamp set from There She Goes. This set CRACKS ME UP...because I heard every one of these at least once growing up - LOL! The Dad ticket is from Crafty Sentiments Designs Just Words Set 2. The border edge is created using a Martha Stewart Punch.

Here is a look at the inside with the stage all popped up....

The stage floor I hand drew and then sponged to make it look like wood floors. The fireplace, radio, deer antlers and TV set are from There She Goes Stamps. The rug I created using a Spellbinders die set. The sentiment is one I made using the computer. The cute boy in the chair is called Taking a Nap and the dog is from the stamp Boy and Dog, both by Crafty Sentiments Designs. All my designer papers are from the Blissful Blizzard Paper pack from Fancy Pants Designs.

I think it turned out super cute :)

Here are some close ups...

I hope that you have a chance to get crafty with us this week because your project will be eligible to enter in BOTH the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge AND Loves Rubberstamps Challenge since they are both a masculine theme! SCORE! Plus both companies are offering AWESOME prizes this week...take a look...

AND... from the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - All About the Boys! you can win...

So AWESOME prizes from both companies! Hope you get to play along this week!
Take care & Happy Stampin!

Vintage Postcard

Hi Stampers!

Today is my Design Team day for The Cutting Cafe! Regina has been coming out with some really amazing files and this week we could choose from four of the new releases! Our choices were - The Suitcase Box Template, The Suitcase Treat Box, The Suitcase Mini Book, and the Postcard Printable Set. I decided to use the postcard set for my project!

Postcards always remind me of a vintage style so that is what I tried to do with my card. Here is what I came up with:

I totally love how it came out! There are two different postcards that you get in this set. This one reminded me more of a masculine style, why I don't know - LOL- but that is the first thing that popped into my mind! For my orange layer - I used the Tim Holtz Distress Cardstock and embossed it with his Clock embossing folder and then sanded the top. The bottle was created using the Ship stamp from Gourmet Rubber Stamps. I just stamped it and then did simple sponging to age it. I added a single layer of UTEE on top so it looked glossy, and pitted with age. The Sentiment is one of my favorites too. It is called The River Bends also from Gourmet Rubber Stamps. I sponged all my edges with the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain and then distressed the edges to make them look old. The doo-dad thing in the corner was created using the Sea Charms Die-Namics from My Favorite Things and the compass with the stamps from Stampin Up! Open Sea set. My papers are from the Simple Stories Pack - Awesome. This card went together pretty quick once I figured out what I was doing - LOL!

Here is a closer look at my bottle...

I hope you liked my project today! Be sure to swing by The Cutting Cafe Blog later today and see what all of my fellow teamies created! They are such a talented group of ladies!

Have a great day all!

Hi Stampers!

Happy Holly-Day Friday! I am excited because this is my "real" Friday too! I have 3 glorious days off from my other job...YAY! I have plans to do some crafty things, get some work done around the house, work in the store and take some time to relax a little...I hope...knock on wood - LOL! I got all caught up on shipping this morning...the last large batch went out - double YAY! ;)

Today we get to be inspired by a super cute design by Holly our Design Team Coordinator!

This is the cutest little cowboy! This is one of the newest A La Mode from My Favorite Things called Cowboy at Heart. She colored him up using copic markers after stamping him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Check out the designer paper Holly chose! I see a cute little cowboy peeking out :) The cute accent piece was created using My Favorite Things Die-Namics - Mini Doily Circles & Country Charms. This is so adorable and would make a sweet card for any age man in your life!

If you have a chance to get crafty this weekend...play along in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - For The Love of Chocolate. You can have anything chocolate or just use shades of chocolate cardstock and papers. How yummy does that sound? Even yummier is the prizes up for grabs for the winner!

Fishin' Buddies

Happy Saturday Stampers!

I am popping on here quick and then heading over to the store site to start adding new goodies! YAY! I spent the morning, not as I planned...my daughter had her car window smashed out so we were busy filing the police report and getting that taken care of. At least she was fine and nothing happened to her. Windows can be replaced.

Today is Jacqueline's Day to share some inspiration with you! I love Saturdays and getting to see what gorgeous creation she has made for us!

Jacqueline created this adorable card using the Fishin' Friends stamp from the Crissy Armstrong collection from Whimsy Stamps. I LOVE how she colored this up using her prismacolor pencils. Looks like an art painting! Jacqueline does AMAZING using her pencils! Every time I see her cards it makes me want to pull mine out and start practicing my coloring, but then I think about all of the pencil sharpening I would have to do first - LOL! I really need to get them sharpened up so I use them more because as Jacqueline card shows you get some gorgeous results when you use them. Jacqueline uses Memento Tuxedo Black ink to use with her prismacolors, this ink is also great for using with the alcohol ink markers too.

Those cute birthday tickets are also from Whimsy Stamps. They are called Celebration Mini Tickets. Jacqueline finished her card off by creating many different layers she created using spellbinders dies and various other sizzix dies. Plus that gorgeous two color ribbon! You can read all about her creative process by visiting her blog.

I had my own special fishin' buddy...my Grandpa! We used to go on fishing trips together to our relatives in Missouri and go farm pond fishing for bass when I was little, just me and Grandpa! We had so much fun. We also would go cat fishing in the rivers around here. I will always treasure those special memories now that he has passed. He has been gone, coming up on 5 years now, and I still miss and think of him everyday. My husband isn't a big fisherman so when I do convince him to go with me, I always outfish him ;) I know it is because Grandpa is up there, helping me catch the lunkers :)

Here is a picture of my Grandpa when he was in the Marines...

His smile reminds me of Elvis Presley - LOL!

Anyway...I better go get busy! Be sure to get your comment in for this week's Sensational Sunday Inspirations post because we draw a winner tomorrow with the new posting! I will also have a special post tomorrow too...because I am going to be a Guest Designer for Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog for their challenge that starts tomorrow :)

Have a great day all!

Oh Duck!

Happy Saturday Stampers!

Hope you are having a great weekend so far! Mine will be busy busy working on getting lots of new things in the store! We have loads of exciting stuff coming so be sure to keep tabs on our New Items section because that is where you can find everything added to the store recently :)

Don't forget.... the new Saturated Canary images will be up for PREORDER on Monday! As a thank you to all of you that preorder from us - you will get a little surprise gift in your order :)

Now... Saturdays are extra special because not only is it the weekend...but because you also get to see one of Jacqueline's mini works of art! She has been busting out some gorgeous Christmas cards...but today she took a little break and created an amazing masculine card for her Dad's Birthday coming up!

How adorable is this? This is the perfect masculine card for any guy that goes hunting!  Now I have to admit that this stamp set makes me giggle. It is called Oh Duck! and it is from the Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Different Collection. We do have a few Sheena Douglass stamps available now, including the paint fushion line, and will be adding this cute set along with the others in the series very soon :)

The absolute cool thing about this stamp is that main image panel is all one stamp! The black cattails, the duck, water, sentiment, and those textured words are all the main image! Love that! Jacqueline added extra layers and texture by adding some "weeds" that she cut from designer paper. I think that the colors that Jacqueline used are just stunning! She colored the background by masking off her duck and then airbrushing it using a copic airbrush system. She then colored her duck using prismacolor pencils! Doesn't it look like you could just pluck him off your screen? It looks that real!

Jacqueline completed her card using the Whimsy Stamps Celebration Mini Tickets for the Happy Birthday tickets.

I love this card and I am sure that Jacqueline's Dad will love it even more!

Have a great weekend!

Just a ... SINGIN!

Good afternoon stampers!

It's FRIDAY!! Whoo hoo! Let the weekend BEGIN! Do you have anything fun planned this weekend? I plan on getting new stuff listed in the store...both stuff that has arrived and some more preorders... and hopefully will get to spend some time stampin! And ALL of that is fun for me! Maybe the hubby and I will hit a movie or something too. Now that his racing is over for the season our guarenteed weekend entertainment is over too - LOL!

AND.... another thing that makes Friday special is that it is Holly's Inspiration Day!

Holly used the super cute Gene from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and created this adorable scene to stay in line with this week's Loves Rubberstamps challenge of creating your background. And if anyone ROCKS at creating adorable scenes using an airbrush...it is Holly! TOO TOO CUTE!! I love the simple layout that just pops with Holly's choice of designer paper. It is beautiful...but still manly looking. I usually HAVE to make my own backgrounds...so I can hoard my paper...LOL! So I commend everyone that actually uses it :)

Be sure to visit Holly's Blog - KopyKat Creations and let her know how awesome her "Man Card" is! It is always a great day when you can "favorite" an awesome masculine card like this because they can be a real challenge.

Don't forget that our Design Team Call is open! You have a little less than a week to apply! We have had some awesome entries so far and look forward to your's too :)

I am off to work in the store :)

Have a great night all and a safe weekend!

Let's Play a Round of...GOLF!

Good Morning Stampers!

Today's card was created for inspiration for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenge - Masculine Cards. Be sure to play along because you could win a shopping spree to the Loves Rubberstamps Store of up to $50! The more people that play... the higher the shopping spree :)

Here is my card...

My card was actually a really quick card to make. The golf scene was inspired by Michelle Zindorf and I followed her tutorial to create it. I am not very good with the brayer like Michelle is, so I use all sponging instead of using a brayer.

I added the sentiment on the golf scene using the Flourishes stamp set called A Guiding Light.

My Stampin Up! More Mustard Layer was stamped repeatedly with the All About Men sentiment stamp from Great Impressions Stamps. I stamped it using the More Mustard Ink because I wanted it to be subtle. I then sponged the edges with early espresso ink also from Stampin Up! The thing I LOVED about the All About Men stamp is that my more mustard layer is 4" x 5 1/4" and the stamp fit PERFECTLY clear across the front!

Here is a close up of my golf ball so you can see it actually has dimples in it like a real golf ball would. You can't see it in the other picture because they are very subtle and the light was not the greatest. Sorry for the yellow tinge on this one, one of my lights burned out in my light box right in the middle of taking pics!

My ball is popped up using dimensionals. I also popped the golf scene layer up on dimensionals as well.
Really fun and quick card that packs a big "wow"!

Hope you play along in our Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenge!

Happy Stampin!

My Sunday Shares - May 20th

Good Morning Everyone!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! Before I show my gorgeous finds for this week I do want to remind you that you have until May 25th to get in your application for becoming a member of our very first Design Team! You do not need prior experience on a team so if you have been wanting to try out for one...we would love to have you :) You can read all about the requirements and the goodies you get for being a member on this blog post.
For today's first share I came across this super adorable card made by the very talented - Julia Aston while I was looking around Splitcoaststampers the other day and just loved it! This is a simple card that packs a big "wow" factor from her use of white embossing powder on her image and a beautiful white die cut tree.

This really catches your eye! Julia's card is created using a Mo Manning Stamp called Bye Bye Boy from Stamping Bella.
Now if you think THAT Julia's card is adorable... you need to check out her blog post about her inspiration for this card... then you will see why her card is so cute :)
If you have some time visit Julia's Blog, Create With Me. Like I said earlier, Julia is a very talented paper crafter and she serves on a few different design teams for some great companies. She has a lot of very beautiful and inspiring projects on her blog.
The second paper artist I came across is also extremely talented and even has her own business selling her amazing cards, called Arty Carty Handmade Cards. Her name is Stephanie Lee and she was kind enough to let me share TWO of her cards because they were both so adorable I would never have been able to decide which one to share!
This first one is a super cute idea for Father's Day, which will be here before you know it! I really love the newspaper print background and the way Stephanie colored her image. The image really "pops" with her use of color against the neutral background.

The image that Stephanie used is from one of my favorite lines from Crafter's Companion called Humphrey's Corner Collection. This particular image she used is called Father's Day and will be in our store, in the near future.
The second card of Stephanie's that I adored is an interactive card which are always a fun twist. This style is called a Hinge Card and there was a technique challenge on splitcoaststampers that was on this style card.

I love the way that Stephanie colored her image and the way she did the fur on the puppy. This image is from the Strawberry Kisses Collection from Crafter's Companion and is called Gorgeous. Which is fitting because that is what this card is... Gorgeous!
Here is the "hinge" part of the card open so you can see the greeting.

Isn't that cool? If you want to learn more about either one of Stephanie's cards you can read her blog posts on them. Here are the links for the Humphrey Card and the Gorgeous Strawberry Kisses card. Stephanie also has a lot of other amazing projects too so be sure to browse around her blog, The Arty Carty Blog with Stephanie Lee.
I hope you all enjoyed today's shares. These two ladies both are amazingly talented and I hope you will visit their sites! A huge thank you to both Julia and Stephanie for allowing me to share their adorable creations with you as well!
I am off to pack a few orders up, add some new goodies that arrived into the store and then will hopefully have a chance to ink up some stamps and play around for a bit! Enjoy the rest of your day - Laura

Overalls Card - Template Pattern

For Father's Day last year I created this card:

Since then I have had many people ask me for the pattern for the overalls. I just now figured out how to use my scanner so I am attempting to post the pattern that I drew up so you can try one! Here it is, I hope it works for you!

I included the measurements so if you needed to draw the template you could. When I made the pattern for my card I drew the template out on a piece of regular paper, then folded it in half to cut the arm holes so they were even on both sides. After you do that then you can trace the pattern on a sturdier piece of cardstock to keep as your main pattern. Hope you enjoy it! If you make a card using th epattern, post a comment & link to your card I would love to see it! Have a great night - Laura

Sunset Deer

Good morning everyone! I can say for sure that the weather outside is frightful! We are having blizzard warnings for my state! Good day to stay in and stamp! I wanted to share with you a card I did for an inspiration challenge on splitcoaststampers. Each week they post a website for you to look through and pick an object that inspires you to create a card or project. For this challenge you were to go to the Bronner's Christmas Wonderland website and choose something to inspire you. Let me tell you - I had a very hard time picking just one! I will definately be doing some more because they have a ton of great products that will definately inspire you! Here is the ornament I choose for my inspiration:

And here is my card that I created:

I love how it turned out! This could be used for a lot of different occasions and is a perfect "man" card since they are so hard to make cards for at least I think anyway!

Take a look through the Bronner's website and see what you can find for inspiration! It is a lot of fun!

Here is what I used to create my card:

Stampin Up! Stamp Sets: Nature Silhouette, Season of Friendship, Lovely As a Tree

Paper: Stampin Up! Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Early Espresso

Ink: Stampin Up! Classic ink pads in Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze

Accessories: Stampin Up! Versamark, Clear embossing powder, heat gun, sponges, post it notes for masking.
