You Make Me Happy!

Happy Friday Friends!

It's Athina here, happy to be back to share a little inspiration with you!  My allergies have been having fits the last few days.  I guess that is the price we pay for spring!  So I will keep it short today!

Since my head is foggy, I decided I should not try to color.  Who knows how that would have turned out.  But I did use my copics, do you know where?  The lacy circle cut out is colored with RV69.

Supplies used:
Spellbinders
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Rusty Hinge
C. C. Designs - Be Happy Sentiments

Make sure to come and join our Pinterest Inspired challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps!   I promise you it will be lots of fun!  Also make sure to check out the store for some fun new Random Fan images that have been added!

That is it for me today!
Blessings until next time...

Happy Easter! Inspiration by Athina

Happy Friday Friends!

It's Athina here, happy to be back to share a little inspiration with you!  Hopefully a lot of you have today, Good Friday, off work.  I will be working, but many people are out of the office, so it will be a good day to get lots caught up.  Do you have any big plans for the Easter weekend?  We are having a family dinner and Easter egg hunt.  It is always lots of fun and great to spend time with my family.

I made a cute little Easter basket cut out with the Silhouette.  I have some handmade goodies to go in the basket, but I can't share those with you just yet.  So be sure to check my blog next week to see what will be inside.  It is for a very special lady in my life.  I hope she likes it!!!  I used   Magnolia - Tilda & Her Bunny, a perfect image for the basket. I finished it off with a ribbon, charm and some Wild Orchid Crafts - Flowers.  The sentiment is by C.C. Designs - Be Happy.  It was so simple and fun to put together.

Easy Peasy!

Happy Friday Friends!

It's Athina here, happy to be back to share a little inspiration.  I am sticking with my out of comfort zone theme.  You may look at the card below and think, REALLY?  Well yes.  I am one of those people that don't feel complete unless I have an image on my card.  Well ladies (and gents), I forced myself to create a quick fun card that anyone can make.  Really it was very simple.

First, I searched for sketches.  I found this one from Deconstructed Sketches.  Simple enough and cute!

Then I picked out my papers and ribbons.  I used Simple Stories Celebration/Birthday 6x6 pack.  I cut them up and then added some scalloped cardstock, a ribbon, button, Lawn Fawn Retro Triple Pack Cord and the sentiment by C.C. Designs - Be Happy

Supplies used:
Lawn Fawn Retro Triple Pack Cord
C.C. Designs - Be Happy

There you have it!  Easy Peasy and super quick!  Laura has been adding  new items to the store.  So be sure to check back often.  Also, make sure to stop by and play along with us in the Totally 1980's challenge!.

That is it for me today!  Have a great weekend and we will see you back next week.
Blessings until next time...

The Bunny Prince

It is a new Thursday! That means you get to hang out with me (Shanna) today.

I loved creating this project. I love how basic it looks and how colorful it is at the same time adding the flowers for pops of color.

I tried to keep it really simple. It is so easy peasy. The image is sweet and great for any occasion. I have been on this springy kick here lately!

Garden Flowers!

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Athina here with you today!  I hope you have had a great week and are looking forward to an even better weekend!  I am guessing we will be working on our house a bit in preparation to sell it in the fall.  Who knows, our plans can change at any minute.

I have had this composition notebook for some time already covered with paper.  When I originally sat down to put it together, it just did not seem to work for me.  So I set it aside nearly a year go.  Then recently I pulled it out and thought I need to work on something with bright colors to get rid of these cold winter blues.  It came to me quickly once I put things into perspective.  I used C.C. Designs - Laugh Lines Garden.  She is colored up with copics and then cut out with Spellbinders.  Then I added a paper doily, ribbon, lace and a bunch of Wild Orchid Flowers

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers

Laura has been teasing us with lots of new items to be added to the store.  So be sure to check back often.  Also, make sure to stop by and play along with us in the Ugly Paper Challenge.

That is it for me today!  Have a great weekend and we will see you back next week.
Blessings until next time...

Bundled Up - Friday Inspiration

Hello Friends!

It is Athina here with you today!  I hope you have had a great week and are looking forward to an awesome weekend!  Here on my side, my hubby and I have made some great gains towards our future and we are super excited.  So we will be celebrating a little bit this weekend! I can't wait!

For today's inspiration, I had some fun with the Snowman image by C.C Designs. He looks like he is having lots of fun!  This was a super simple card.  I used a page from the 6x6 Fancy Pants Blissful Blizzard pack and cut it out to make the sentiment across the middle.  Then I used a round circle cutter to cut out the image and a border for the image.  The image itself was colored with only a few copics (BG72, BG75, BG78, W1, W3, W5, W7, E42, E44, E49 & 0).

After I colored the image, I took clear embossing ink and covered the image.  Then I used Sparkly Embossing Powder to add a nice shine.  To finish it off, I used Polar White Flower Soft to add some snow and texture to the card.

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Weathered Wood & Clear

Laura has been teasing us with lots of new items to be added to the store.  So be sure to check back often.  Also, make sure to stop by and play along with us in the Shades of Green challenge.

That is it for me today!  I am off to celebrate with hubby!  Have a great weekend and we will see you back next week.

So Happy! Friday Inspiration with Athina

Happy Friday!

It's Athina here with a little inspiration to get your weekend started! Today is the last day of February.  Come on spring!  I am ready to get out side and work in the garden, walk the dogs and just play around in the yard.  Whose with me?

Today I used an image that I have had colored for a while.  It did not go with the original card very well, so I set it aside at the time.  But today, I have the perfect use for little Oliver,  The Greeting Farm - Lovey Dovey.  He is stamped with Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.

I used My Minds Eye - Lost & Found Ruby for the background as it matched just perfectly!  The sentiment goes perfect with this handsome little boy!

Supplies used:

Keep in mind our challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps, we want to see you use washi tape!  Also make sure to check out the new items in the store.  Laura has been teasing us with a bunch of fun new items to come.  So make sure to keep your eyes peeled!

That is it for me today!  I hope you have a fantastic Friday and an even better weekend ahead!

Friday Inspiration with Athina!

Happy Friday!

It's Athina here with a little inspiration to get your weekend started!  I hope your week went well.  The weather was a bit warmer here in Ohio which was nice!  I am very ready for spring, hence the inspiration for the card I want to share with you today.  I am tired of the dark colors, I needed to brighten things up a bit.

So I have used C.C. Designs - Ice Cream Lucy image.  What about this image does not remind  you of spring or summer?  She is colored with copics!  I added some fun tickets, twine, button and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers for embellishments.  (A list of supplies can be found at the bottom for reference.)  I used a creamy yellow cardstock as the base, for a bit of sunshine!

Supplies used:

C.C. Designs- Be Happy Sentiments (one of my favorites)
Stampers Anonymous (soon to be added to the store!)

Keep in mind our challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps, we want to see a funny sentiment!  Also make sure to check out the new items in the store.  Laura has been teasing us with a bunch of fun new items to come.  So make sure to keep your eyes peeled!

That is it for me today!  I hope you have a fantastic Friday and an even better weekend ahead!

You are Special - Friday Inspiration with Athina

Hello Friends!

We have made it to Friday once again, so that means Athina here to share some more inspiration with you!  I have spent my week out in warm California, what a great change from here in Ohio where it has been frigid.  The weather was in the low 60's, but it felt like summer to me.  It is very funny how you get used to a temperature, the locals were all freezing.  It was nice to get away, but I am glad to be back and sharing some fun inspiration with you today.

I found this cute little Tiddy Inks, Celebrate Joyfully image in the store.  I just love her! She is colored with Copics and cut out with the Large Oval Spellbinders die.    I kept the background very simple, which was actually a challenge for me.  But I like stepping out of that comfort zone once in a while.  The background papers are by My Minds Eye.  The sentiment is from C. C. Designs - Amy R - Be Happy.  It is stamped with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.

Supplies Used:
Spellbinders  - Large Oval

Cardabilities Sketch # 92

Laura has been busy adding many fun items to the store this week!  So make sure to stop by and check out the New Items section.  I have a gift certificate I need to spend, but have been holding off so I can see all the fun new goodies.

Also be sure to come over and enter your latest creation in our weekly challenge.  This week is Anything Goes!

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hello, it's Marcy here for some Saturday Inspiration!  Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!  Maybe some of you are getting ready for some Super Bowl parties?  We do have one planned for tomorrow which should be lots of fun!  I honestly don't know too much about football but I do enjoy the parties and having a chance to hang out with family and of course, eat some good food! :)

So here's my card for you today...

I thought with the party atmosphere this weekend, I would make my card using the adorable "Party Time Lucy" from C.C. Designs.  This girl is ready to party!!! Isn't she so cute?!!  I wanted to color her up in yellow and pink which are such "Happy" colors for me!!! :)   I colored up sweet Lucy with my Copic markers and did a little embossing on the white background behind her.  The fun papers collection I used is from Pink Paislee called "Hey Kid".  I also added some pretty Wild Orchid Craft flowers which are new to the Loves Rubberstamps store!!! I absolutely love adding flowers to my projects so I'm thrilled they are now being carried at the store!

Here are the Supplies Used:
Party Time Lucy - C.C. Designs
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink
Roses and Cherry Blossom flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaf Punch - Martha Stewart
Hey Kid - Pink Paislee

Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all of the new gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts just added to the store! There are so many varieties in so many colors.  You will love them!

Just Sitting Here with Athina!

Hello Friends!

It is Athina here!  Friday once again so that means some Friday Inspiration!  I hope you had a great week!  It has been a busy one here, but that just means the weekend comes sooner!  Some of us will get an extra day this weekend, how nice. =)

So I found this adorable C. C. Designs Fuzzy Boots Birgitta in the store not to long ago.  I thought she is just adorable and would be perfect for this time of year.  Who doesn't love the warm boots, hat and sweater!  I colored here with copics then fussy cut her out so she could sit in the cute little window by Spellbinders (Labels 18).  The paper is Fancy Pants Designs - Blissful Blizzard.  I just commented the other day when Laura used it that I hadn't really used it much, so I was inspired to give it a shot.  I love the results!  I added some ribbon, bow, lace, flowers with brads and a little flag with an Amy R - Be Happy Sentiment.

Supplies used:

Be sure to stop by Loves Rubberstamps and see all the new items Laura has added.  There you will find a fun new line for the store - Whiff of Joy!

Snow Cute!

Hello Friends,

Athina here for a Friday Inspiration post!  I hope the New Year has started off well for everyone!  Ours started off with a bit of snow, but I guess it is January right?  So that lead's us to the title Snow Cute.

Today I made a little card.  Actually... it ended up spilling off the 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card, but I really wanted the snowflake edges to match this adorable C. C. Designs Snow Cute image.  The image is colored with copics and I added some stickle fun for snow.  The background papers are by My Mind's Eye.  It was finished off with some ribbon, twine and a little button to match!

Make sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog and play along with our New Year's Resolutions challenge this week.  Also, check out all the fun new items that have been added to the store lately.  A little birdie told me that there were many more new items coming very soon!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!

Let's Get BASTED!

Hi Stampers!

I will have TWO posts for you today! First up is my post for this week's new Love's Rubberstamps challenge! This week we want to see FALL LEAVES or PUMPKINS on your project! Or you can be adventurous and use both :)

Here is my project...

I used the C.C. Designs Monkey Feet Tom Turkey image and colored him with my prismacolor pencils because I wanted him to be soft looking. My papers are from the Authentique Thankful Paper pack. My embossed panel I created using a Sizzix embossing folder called Autumn Words (I think) and the cardstock I used is the Tim Holtz Core'dinations Distress Rusty Hinge. After embossing it, I lightly rubbed a nail file over the top to sand the words. I will be getting this cardstock listed in the store soon :)

Here is a closer look at my sentiment. You can see I layered some brown skeleton leaves behind the sentiment for my Fall Leaves :)

This sentiment cracks me up :D It is actually a Digi from Whimsie Doodles.

I also used a sketch for my layout from Sketch 'N Stash:

I hope you enjoyed my project! Be sure to check back later this morning for my Crafty Sentiments Designs - Design team post :)

Come play along with us! Have a great day!

Cupcake Belle

Hi Stampers!

Today will be a quick post because I am not feeling very well today. I am running a fever and feel like crud, but I wanted to be sure to share Ceal's adorable card today! It is totally adorable!

This little cutie is called Cupcake Belle and she is from the Retailer Exclusive series Fairy Tales from C.C. Designs.  That means that you can't buy this line from C.C. Designs, only through Retailers who carry their collections! We have just added some of the newer lines, and have loads more C.C. Designs Stamps coming also! Be sure to check them out!

Ceal colored Miss Belle with her copic sketch markers and used the out of the box technique on her image panel. This technique is so fun! I totally adore the cupcake paper that Ceal chose as well, looks perfect and Ceal did a great job coloring her image to match!

Well, I am off to lay down and hope that this crud does not last, because I have way to many things to do to be getting sick! Have a great day all!

Watermelon Cutie & DESIGN TEAM CALL!

Hi Stampers!

Today is Tuesday which means a brand new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge! This week we are asking you to break out some hoarded supplies and GASP....actually USE THEM! Maybe it is special embellishment, ribbon, papers, or maybe you hoard it all! LOL! Whatever it is we want to see it :)

Here is my project:

This week one of our sponsors is All That Scraps. Christine asked our team to use a couple of the new release Swiss Pixies - Abigail With Watermelon or Pinwheel Brigitta. So you will notice that the team used one or both of these images on their projects this week!

I used the adorable Abigail with Watermelon. I wanted to keep my card, CAS, cute and with a country feel so that was the basis for my color scheme. Actually it is one of my super favorite combos...which you probably figured out since I have used it in like my last 3 or 4 projects - LOL! Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake, and sometimes Early Espresso mixed in.

The hoarded supply item I used is my Stampin Up! Crochet Lace Trim Victoria. I only have a few twists on my spool left so I have to use it sparingly! I need to buy like a case of it because I could seriously use it on everything I make - LOL! I LOVE it!  I layered my red gingham ribbon on the top of it here.My Sentiment is from the Wild For Watermelon stamp set from Flourishes.

Here is a close up of Miss Abigail:

Sorry my picture looks a little washed out. I had to take it at night and my lighting is not the greatest. Plus I had literally like 10 minutes to edit and upload to make it to work on time! I will try and take some better pics in the morning.

In some other news on the store front... for our next Design Team Term - September 1st - December 31st we will sadly be saying good-bye to 3 of our amazing Design Team Members! While it makes us really sad to have to say good-bye we know that they will not be far away on blog land and we will have the opportunity to design with THREE new Designers! So we are having a DESIGN TEAM CALL! You can see all the details on this blog post here... DESIGN TEAM CALL.

We hope that you will apply and we look forward to seeing all the applications!

Thanks for stopping by! Now...break out those hoarded supplies and play along with us :)

MarkerPOP! - Anything Goes
Without Words - July Challenge Summer Picnic

Peas & Strawberries!

Hi Stampers!

Today's post will be super quick because I am in a time crunch - LOL! My inspiration piece for you today I created to enter this week's Saturated Canary Challenge of Summer Fruits. I only have 40 minutes to edit my pictures, write this post and get it entered before Mr. Linky closes! YIKES!

So here is my finished project...

I used the super adorable Saturated Canary Summer! This is the first time I have colored her AND the first time I have tried coloring an image with this much hair! It was pretty scary at first - LOL! This is also the first time I tried to draw in a nose and my second time doing clouds in the sky! I don't think it turned out to bad :)

Here is a close up of Summer:

And a close up of my sentiment...

I LOVE this sentiment - it totally cracks me up! It is from the C.C. Designs Berry Logos Stamp Set. I also used the C.C. Designs Cutters Tickets Die to cut the ticket out. The bowl is the Love Bowls from Great Impressions.

The Sketch layout I used is the Mojo Sketch #300!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked my Inspiration piece for you today :)

Have a great day!
Laura
