The Ants Come Marching Two-by-Two

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day Monday!  Wow, another week gone!  The days are flying by so fast that it has dawned on me that life is flying by.  So now I try to enjoy at least one moment of every day.  Even if it's work and hassle, there is always some good about it.  Like the fact that I have a job and there will be another payday.  Bills will get paid, Stampies will be bought, lol.   So enjoy this summer day!  It's my turn to show you some inspiration.

Lawn Fawn - Happy Summer - coming soon
They make a matchy die that will be coming soon too

OMGosh I love these cute little ants.  Only the stampy version though, I really do not like the ants in real life, lol.  I started off sponging the tangelo and cantaloupe ink for the sun, then I put the grass die layer on and stamped on that.  Then I colored up my watermelons and thought it needed more, so I airbrushed some green behind the grass and then I added my Watermelons and then decided there needed to be a boss in charge in the middle, lol.  The sentiment comes with the images.  The watermelon paper is from Summer Lovin Carte Bella 6X6.

It took me a month of Sundays to Find this stamp set again, I soooooo need to clean and clear off my desk, lol.  Turns out, I had put them away, but I did find the needle in the haystack and the elephant, lol.

Thanks for checking in,

Holly

Otterly Great Birthday

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a fine Holly-Day Monday and my turn to post.  Today I am sharing a Video Tutorial I came across on Happy Thoughts and Inkspots.  I just happened to have that Grunge Stamp as well, lol.

Lawn Fawn - Year Five
Another yellow to substitute for Distress Ink - Squeezed Lemonade
Water color Paper
White Embossing Powder

The Newest Lawn Fawn has not been added to The Loves Rubberstamp Store just yet.  Laura is plugging away to get caught up on Shipping Orders, and then will tackle the emails she is behind on, and then when things start to balance out, she will be adding the newest items.  In the mean time, if you would like to order this, feel free to shoot her an email and she will get back to you as soon as she can.

The first time I tried this technique, I had a piece of PTI heavyweight card stock and the colors were very bold.  So I went to my stash and I did have some water color paper.  So I pulled it out and tried a lighter touch and yes, the paper made all the difference in the world.  I think I'll keep working on the technique as I do love the effect.

I hope you all have a great day!

You + Me

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday!  It's my turn to show you some inspiration.

Today is Joe and I's,  13 Anniversary!  We both work but I think we might watch TV and fall asleep together tonight, lol.

I saw these two stamp sets used together on the Lawn Fawn Blog and had to come up with my own design.  The paper is much lighter but got darker in my picture.

These past 13 years have been so filled with life and love.  There is literally never a dull moment here, lol.   Even when Joe and I would prefer dull, lol.  But the thing is, I would not have it any other way.

I hope you have a scrappy day!

Coffee Warms My Heart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I'm late for my post today.  It's my turn to show you some inspiration .   This weeks Challenge Theme is Coffee, Tea, or a Favorite Beverage, so I am using my Coffee Cup Die again.  This time I paired it with the Polka Papers and I love these dots and stripes together.  I used some pieces from my Blueprints Die-Namics which is my go to all the time, love all the different dies you get in each set.  They are designed to use together or alone or mix and match.  I love the little words die and found it so much easier to get them out in an organized fashion.

My Sister is here visiting from New Mexico, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  I hope you are having a fabulous Monday.

Easter Card With Love

Hello Friends!  It's Marcy here with some inspiration for you all today!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far!

Here is an Easter card I've made....

I had so much fun making this card and especially with these cute bunnies from the Lawn Fawn set called Snow Day.  Even though this stamp set can easily be used for Christmas, it can also be used for Easter and many other occasions.  I mean who doesn't love cute bunnies, right?!! :) This card is going to my mom from my kids and it's perfect since there are 3 little bunnies to represent each of them!  For the background, I had fun watercoloring using some Tim Holtz distress inks over an embossed background stamp called BG Gingham Background from My Favorite Things.  I really like the way it came out with the soft colors which match the copic colors I used on this image.  To finish off my card, I scattered some sequins on top and also took out my bow it all to make a festive 3 looped bow!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Snow Day - Lawn Fawn
BG Gingham Background - My Favorite Things
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink
Salty Ocean - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Peacock Feathers - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Mustard Seed - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Versamark Stamp Pad - Tsukineko
Wink of Stella - Coming soon!

Make sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all of the adorable Lawn Fawn Set!  We also have a new Sensational Blog Hop starting tomorrow so be sure to to visit again!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!  For those of you celebrating the Easter holiday, may you have a special day with families and loved ones!

Hugs,
Marcy

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. My weekend will be a busy one catching up with emails and shipping some orders. I had the stomach flu for 3 days this week which was not a fun time! The medications I am on for my colitis suppress my immune system which makes it easier for me to get sick. So I spent a lot of time sleeping which I needed since I sometimes don't get very much!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will be my last major illness for awhile because I am sure tired of feeling cruddy that is for sure!

With being sick this week it made me think of Get Well Cards and I wanted share one of my favorites that Lydia had created that I found super cute...

I love the Stitched Party Banners as a card shape! I also really love how Lydia used little stamped images inside her shaker card with the sequins. Too cute!

Here are the products that Lydia used on her card:

Sensational Sunday Inspirations

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far! I haven't felt very well this week so I have been doing a lot of resting. I am hoping that sometime this week I will be able to take a few pictures of my stamping studio to share how that is coming along. I am in the very early stages of starting to move stuff in it and organize. I have a lot of ideas but not sure exactly how I want to do things yet. I guess a craft room is like a never ending project and trying things and seeing how it works for you.

For today's project I wanted to share Lydia's super cute CAS card that she created for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge of using things with the Letter "B".

I thought this was such a cute idea to paper piece patterned papers for these cute little bunnies. Really gives it a vintage, shabby look with these colors and the pattern and makes them pop! Such a sweet design that would make a quick card when your short on crafty time!

Here are the products used on Lydia's card...

Seasons Tweetings!

Hello! It's Marcy here with my last Inspiration Day share for 2014!!!  Can you believe Christmas and the New Year 2015 are almost here?!!  Well I've finally finished all of my handmade Christmas cards and here is one more that I wanted to share with you all...

So Lawn Fawn is one of my new favorite stamps to play with and I was excited to create a Christmas card with this adorable set called Winter Sparrows!  For the cute birds, I colored them up with my Copic Markers and added lots of Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.  For the tree branch, the notes and the sentiment, I embossed them using some Ranger black sparkle embossing powder.  It really looks so pretty up close.  The fun background paper is from a collection called Frosty Friends by Doodlebug Designs.  I love the design which looks like a pretty teal and snowy sky behind the singing birds! :)  To finish off my card, I embossed the base with some polka dots and then added a bow made with some holiday trim from my stash.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Frosty Friends - Doodlebug Designs
Black Tuxedo - Memento
Versamark Ink - Tsukineko
Black Sparkle Embossing Powder - Ranger

Hope my card gives you some holiday inspiration and I hope you all have a very special and safe holiday season!

Hugs,
Marcy

More Tags!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for another Holly-Day Monday Inspiration Blog Post.  I have been busy making more tags!  I can't seem to get enough of them.  Here is another set of six:

It started with these two.   I just love the little bunnies in this set and through they would look cute holding the ribbons.

Then I thought about how cute it would be to have this bird sit on a birdhouse on the tag.  In real life, the color of the house matches the color in the paper dots, lol.

And finally,  I have this thing for whimsical squirrels and chipmunks.  I just love them.  I stamped each image, colored with my copics and then adhered them down.  I love these two sets, among others.... lol.

Okay, no matter what you do, do not miss tomorrow post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog!  You do  not want to miss it.

That's all I'm saying, lol.   Oh and go check out the New Items in the store!

Keep Calm and Stay....FOXY!

Hi Stampers!

Today we have our favorite Loves Rubberstamps Challenge starting... ANYTHING GOES! This is always so fun since we get to see a wide variety of amazing creations! This week we have THREE PRIZES up for grabs too so it will be a great week to play along with us!

Here is my project...

One of our Prize Sponsors this week is The Cutting Cafe and I adore Regina's files they are so fun and easy to use, even for people like me who do not have a cutting machine. I had been looking through her new release sets and found this super cute FOXY WORD card that comes in a big set called Hey Foxy.  It also comes with sentiments and an actual Fox Shaped card too! The sentiment I used is from Regina's set too :)

I decided to use the cute little Fox from Lawn Fawn's Into The Woods stamp set because I thought his little tail matched the tail in the sentiment really well. AND to be honest after cutting the letters and the front of the card I didn't want to fussy cut an animal too and since I have the matching Lawn Fawn Into the Woods die set that matches all the little critters in the stamp set...I used the die to cut the fox out :) I stamped the fox in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and then colored the fox using Copics - E15, E18 & YR27 and R20 for the ear. I then used a blender to go over the face and fur to give it more texture. I added some Pebbles Shimmer Chalks for the little cheeks.

Here is a look at the card open so you can see what the front looks like better...

The papers are from one of my new favorite Paper Packs from Doodlebug called Friendly Forest. I will be working on getting this line in the store this week. I used two of the Fall Assortment Sprinkles on the sentiment. For the little fox...I didn't want any copic marks showing on the back so I cut another fox using the die and glued them together. For the back of the fox I used this paper that comes in the paper pack too....

I used the little fox pattern which is so SUPER CUTE!! I love it! Reminds me of the song - WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY....which I sang over and over as I made my card - LOL! :)

Here is a close up of the little Lawn Fawn Fox:

We hope you get to play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by!
