SUPERhero

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day!  It's my turn to show you some inspiration.  I hope everyone had a great 4th of July.  I've got Red/White/Blue and Gold, lol.

MFT Birdie Brown - Super Boy

I know, I know, I mixed the Avengers and Super Man, may the Super Geeks of the Universe forgive me, lol.   I love them all and yes, my guys make me watch all of them at least twice.  Same with Star Wars and Star Trek.  This was a lot of fun to make.

I hope you are having a great day.

Chilly Willy

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday!  It's my turn to post  and show you some inspiration.  Now this stamp set is not uploaded in the store quite yet, but it will be soon and I just had to use it.

MFT BB Penguins in Paradise

I am so addicted to making Shaker Cards!  But they are so much fun, lol.   I airbrushed over a stencil for the sunshine, colored up my penguin with my copic markers and added some Glossy Accents because everyone knows they are slickery.  There are a set of matching dies that will listed as well, but I did not pick those up yet, so I am fussy cutting.  I colored the flower and added it to the top for some interest.

I have had way too much fun making cards this weekend and I did manage to get to the grocery, wash the dogs, and get the laundry done, so Yeah!  I feel all productive now, lol.  I am behind on comments and the bloggers I follow, so I will have to spend some time each evening this week to catch up and see other fabulous creations.

I hope you have had a chance to play in this weeks Challenge, it's every one's Favorite!  Anything Goes!

Have a Great Day and I will see you tomorrow!

Coffee Warms My Heart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I'm late for my post today.  It's my turn to show you some inspiration .   This weeks Challenge Theme is Coffee, Tea, or a Favorite Beverage, so I am using my Coffee Cup Die again.  This time I paired it with the Polka Papers and I love these dots and stripes together.  I used some pieces from my Blueprints Die-Namics which is my go to all the time, love all the different dies you get in each set.  They are designed to use together or alone or mix and match.  I love the little words die and found it so much easier to get them out in an organized fashion.

My Sister is here visiting from New Mexico, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  I hope you are having a fabulous Monday.

The Ride

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Memorial Day, (in the states).  I hope your day is going well and full of fun and exciting things.  It's my day to show you some inspiration.

This will be a great card to give someone who is going away for a long Vacation. I love playing with my dies and they are so fun to put together.  In this case, I die-cut out two, one in Kraft and one in black and then I used the black for a shadow effect and added the dots and such to fill in with black. The paper did most of the work for me and I just stamped on the words right onto the designer paper.
Who is going on a fun vacation this summer?  I love watching House Hunters on TV and pretty much just keep that station going all the time.  When I get the TV that is, lol.  They usually show some of the city and fun spots to go to, so for me, it's like planning a get away, if only in my mind, lol.  Most of my Vacations are Stay-Cations when the boys are home from School.  Sometimes they are family events, but usually to the same destinations we have been to.  Occasionally we get a long weekend at the Beach.  I don't mind Stay-Cations though, this is where all my toys are.

We also love to go to the movies.  This weekend, we went to see, Tomorrowland.  LOVED it.  The lady at the ticket booth gave my son a pin and told him, "You are lucky, this was the very last one."  We didn't even know the relevance until we saw the show.  On the way out, he did say something to the effect of, "If I could go there, I would invent something that would clean our house."  OMGosh we laughed so hard.  Secretly, he did take the pin out of the packaging though, lol.

I hope you have had a chance to play in our current Challenge - Black and White with a touch of color.   If you haven't had a chance to check out the New Items in the store, you are going to be so excited to see what the Newest company added is.

Thanks for checking in on me.

Good Day to Be Happy

Hello to you all. Shanna here with a tag of inspiration to share.

First off let me apologize for the light. I photographed at night and didn't get a chance to do it during the day. Normally it would be a lot brighter!

First I smooshed the tag with a new color of Distress Paint (Mermaid Lagoon). Then I went over in some areas with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

I used some white embossing powder with the "Happy" stamp and then used some black ink to stamp  the rest. I added a ribbon and a flower with a  brad to finish the tag off.

Make sure to keep checking back for more inspiration!

Super Boy

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Before I get started, let me tell you there is a Design Team Call for the Next Term that starts on May 1st!

It's a Happy Holly-Day Monday and I have some cuteness to inspire you.  This is what I came up with.

MFT BB Super Boy - coming soon
MFT Small Brick Wall Stencil - coming soon

Oh I had so much fun making this one.  First I cut die-cut a hole in the center with my Blueprints 12 circle. Then I used used the stencil with my light modeling paste on a white background.  I used the Scooper the the flat bottom to scoop it out and smooth it over.  Then I removed the stencil and let it dry over night.  I guess I could have used a dryer if I really was in a hurry.  Then I my Mini Ink Blending Tool (which I love) and went over the bricks with Fired Brick and then Black Soot TH distress inks.  I added a bit of white from an old white ink pad I have here, which is now red and white, lol.  I set that aside to dry while I cut out my stars and the white moonbeam from the Sun, Moon, and Stars set.  Then I stamped the boy on Copic X-Press It paper.  And I colored him up with Copic Markers and fussy cut him out.   There will be Matching Dies to go with him when he comes to the store....and I'll be grabbing one of those up, lol.  Then I cut the black circle with my Circle Stax set 2 and adhered behind the brick wall paper.  I could have used some foam adhesive to add some dimension if I wanted.  Then I added the moon beam and the star and the boy and added the other stars.

Tools are a great thing to have.  If you see a set of dies you think are cute but you don't have an exact idea for them, go ahead and pick them up.  Having lots of dies in your arsenal of supplies really helps when you are creating and have certain ideas or want to do something typical from the norm or what you have already been doing.  The same is true for me with the Mini Ink blender tool, it's so much more quick and easy to use this little took while distressing and I can add more or give it a light coat.  It really does cut back on time it takes.  Plus when I just use a sponge, I tend to get uneven dotted ink marks.  That used to drive me crazy.  So I really like the tool that I can distress ink in one directed and get a smooth, undotted color.

I love this little Super Boy and I have all kinds of things in mind for him.  He is one I will use again and again.  I love that there are more boy images out there now.

Okay, that's all my inspiration for today.  I will see you tomorrow over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.   Be sure to visit the New Items section in the Loves Rubberstamps Store.

Rule the World with Coffee!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day Monday!  Mostly because I am off today with the boys on their last day of Spring Break.   It's time for me to show you some Monday inspiration over at Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.

I started with my Perk Up set and added the circle and flag from my Blueprints 12 set and viola!  Instant gratification!  This was a quick and easy card to put together and I NEED a lot of coffee cards for my friends.   So I am happy with this CAS design.  This is a set I can come back to over and over again and not get the same design.

So how was your Sunday?  I had to work :(   But my dear husband was stoic enough to get up at 5:00 a.m. on his day off and get the boys up while I grabbed some COFFEE!  They went through their baskets and starting the Sugar Loading early.   Then with their flashlights, they went out to the patio for their Easter Egg hunt.  That was a lot of fun!  Then off to work I went.  We had a nice meal.  Traditional Potato Salad and beef ribs.  YUM.   I didn't have the time or the energy to put a big meal on after working for ten hours, so that was just nice.

Tomorrow is a new Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog and I hope to see your fabulous creations there.  Also, take a peek at the New Items in the store!  So fun!

Thanks for Looking and have a Fabulous Day!

Words Cannot Espresso....

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for me to show you some Monday Inspiration .    Today, I want to Espresso how much you mean to me....

I love coffee and teacups.  And I do love my coffee in teacups sometimes, lol.   This was a really quick 30 minute card and if one were better organized, it could be knocked down to 15 lol.   Love these cute teacups and I plan on using this die over and over again.  the Perk Up sayings are perfect for any coffee card.

I had a very busy and quick weekend :(  Back to work for me.  I had to do a bunch of shopping.  My Oldest son is getting married in Vegas next weekend and we procrastinated our clothes shopping, lol. He is getting married at The Paris and it's an after 5 cocktail theme.  Oh this fat body has no little black dresses, lol.   So off to Lane Giant I went and low and behold, I did find two.  One for the rehearsal dinner and one for the wedding.....that was super duper clearance and so perfect for this event!  $29.95!  Score.  The other was $58.00 but I will wear it again and again.  It's multifunctional, lol.   Plus my very dear friend is also getting married next month and so I will no doubt wear that to her wedding.  And then we found clothes and outfitted the guys.  So now I am down to finding shoes to fit my 2X4 feet.   Why are all shoes so narrow?  So every day this week, I am out in search of very wide and appropriate black shoes that won't kill my feet with a low heel, wish me luck!

I also did make it to my very good friends wedding shower this weekend, so there was some fun involved.  Tonight we also watched Big Hero 6.   We bought the DVD because we just loved seeing it at the movies.

Okay, I am off to bed now.  Don't forget to check out the New Items Laura has added and this is your last day to play in our current challenge, there is a New challenge tomorrow! Oh and I have BLOG CANDY  - go check it out!

Follow Your Heart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Sorry I am a bit late today sharing my inspiration, That  whole day late and a dollar short thing really is applying here, lol.  I did make a card the other day for today, but that whole, getting a picture and posting thing seemed a bit difficult to do, lol.

This was a quick and easy card.  I offset the sentiment and stamped it twice.   At first the black color didn't really seem to fit.  Then I tried it in Red and it seemed to disappear in the hearts and then came the ah ha moment and I offset them and it worked for me, lol.

Love is in the air and Valentines Day is looming on us.  I have been having some serious discussions with my husband about how every day life seems to take us away from who we are and what we want out of our relationship.  I know Valentines Day is a big commercial Holly-Day that drives men out for flowers and candy and couples flock out to restaurants for dinner.  Sometimes there are proposals, sometimes weddings, sometimes jewelry is involved.   But for couples who have been together as long as me and my hubby, it's a reminder not to celebrate and nurture the relationship for just a day, but rather most days of the year.  So that's what we have decided to do.   And that's why there is no set path, you just need to follow your heart.

On a totally different note today, have you heard of Bubby Everson?  He has terminal CMV and is celebrating his ninth birthday this month.   He loves getting mail and cards and even looks through the junk mail.   His parents say he loves stickers and they let him stick them everywhere.  Here is the article.   I made Bubby a card as well.

If you want to send Bubby a card or stickers, or both, here is his address:

Bubby Everson
P.O. Box 1142
Graham, Washington

Okay that's all I got today, lol.   I'll see you again next week.  Please be sure to look at the New Items Laura has added to the store, as well as our Challenge Blog

Thanks for checking in on me today,

School Bus

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's my turn to post today.  I wanted to make a thank you card for Reed's teacher this year and so I came up with this.

I love all the Birdie Brown Images, each one in the sets are adorable.  I thought this School Bus paper would be perfect but now it does kinda look like a little much, lol.

So did you watch the Super Bowl?  Wow, what a close game and both teams just played their hearts out.  I enjoyed it after a two week withdrawl from football, lol.   Now I have to go til August again, lol.   But it's fun and it's probably a good thing I have a few months off to get some stuff done around here, lol.

Laura is adding some exciting New Items to the store, so you will want to hop over and take a look.  and you still have a few hours left to play in our Pink and Girly Challenge.

Thanks for looking in on me.

I heart my puppy

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Monday Holly-Day!

Today I have used a cute new MFT Birdie Brown set that is coming to the store soon.
MFT Birdie Brown - You Have My Heart
MME 6X6 - Cupids Arrow

OMGosh I just love this set of stamps!  They are total cuteness.  And I do love all three of my puppies, lol.  Archie Bunker, Lucky Day and Kracken Up AKA Fatso.  So I can't wait to play some more with them....maybe even do a scrap page layout with them as well.  I did make this for someone in mind though, who is crazy about her dog and has been especially awesome lately, so I cannot wait to give it to her.

I colored this image up with Copics and dusted off the air brush machine for the air and grass.  I also colored the grass die cut.

Thanks so much for checking in on me.

Wishing You a Beautiful Day!

Hello Friends!!!  It's Marcy here and today I've made a card for some inspiration!

Here it is...

I'm starting to make more cards lately which do not use an image which I color up with my copics!   Don't get me wrong...I still love making those cards but I also love the look of using sentiments and die cuts as focal points too.  So that's where my "mojo" led me today!   This card was made using a few MFT sets.  The first was used to create the pretty rose which I stamped with some bright inks I had in my stash.  This set is called Contemporary Roses by MFT which is a design by Mona Pendleton.  I also used the matching Contemporary Roses Die-Namics to cut out the flowers and leaves.  I went over the rose and leaves with my Wink of Stella in Clear Glitter. You can't see in the photo but there is really pretty shimmer!  The sentiment which is from MFT's Polka Dot Greetings was stamped onto some dp using Versamark Ink  and then I added my favorite black sparkling embossing powder by Ranger.  The pretty papers in the background are called Fabulous by Simple Stories.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Contemporary Roses - My Favorite Things
Contemporary Roses Die-Namics - My Favorite Things
Polka Dot Greetings - My Favorite Things
Fabulous - Simple Stories
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink
Black Sparkling Embossing Powder - Ranger
Enamel Dots - My Mind's Eye
Wink of Stella - Glitter Clear

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget we have a fun blog hop tomorrow!

Hugs,
Marcy

Good Thursday to every one. Shanna here with a new card this week. I got a new stamp set. I have made a couple cards with it. I must say it is a lot of possibilities so fun and exciting!

Here is the first a few yet to come.

I made my own sequins and then used some Teresa Collins sequins (the pink ones).
I used some black embossing powder and some silver like embossing powder then used the coordinating die that goes with the stamp set!

I love shaker cards and I thought why not try one with vellum. I love the frosted look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Wonderful Time of Year

Shanna here today with another holiday card to share. I am really getting a jump on my holiday cards for this winter. I really need to start my Halloween and Thanksgiving cards now though that Fall is knocking on the door.

I kept this card again simple but fun. It is another great card you can give to anyone. I used some snowflake stickers I had left over from, oh my... last year... maybe even the year before that. ( I have a sticker drawer with some old stickers that may never get used.)

I had fun making this simple dimensional card I must say.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Please keep coming back for more inspiration!

Sunflower Sweetheart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a new Holly-Day Monday and I am here to show you some stampy inspiration today.

Oh My Gosh I love this stamp set and I plan to use it again and again.  I went ahead and bought the matchy dies to go with.  Now normally I do not mind fussy cutting, but I liked the dies that went with it and had some 3D in mind when I bought them.  I did not pop anything up here, but I did decide to go ahead and use the dies.....LOVE!!!   I cut out using the dies first.  Then I applied my stamp on an acrylic block and put a scrap piece of black under the cut out on the foam pad that I stamp on, so I could see the outline better.....JEEZ, so much easier to see right where to stamp.

I'm also still crazy about the Candi Dots.  I used Icing, (white) and colored with my E09 Copic Marker.  I didn't have to scramble around looking for that perfect colored brad, I just had to color my Candi Dot the perfect color.  I like them because they still leave shimmer even though I colored them.

As you can tell, I am so ready for fall!  It's been 107 here for a while and everytime we go out of the house to do anything, it seems to suck the life out of us, lol.  I went into the stashy hoarded stuff and pulled out this paper pad.  I knew it would be perfect for her.

Have you seen all the wonderful yummy NEW ITEMS that Laura has added to the Loves Rubberstamps Store?  I went shopping TWICE!!!!  She might have to kick me off the team just to have stuff left for her customers, lol.

I also want to remind you that you have today to finish up your Challenge Projects for the current Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - buttons and bows.  We start a New Challenge tomorrow, so you definetly do not want to miss out on that either.  Oh and you still have all week to Blog Hop on our Sunday Sensational Blog Hop.   We pick a name for the monthly drawing each week and then a winner each month.  We just picked a winner yesterday and Heidi won a store voucher for $20.00!!!  That would pay for the Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set with some money to spare!

I hope you all have a great week!

A Watercolored Sympathy card!

Hello and Happy Saturday all!   It's Marcy and I have a watercolored card to share with you today!

Here it is...

This is a sympathy card I made for a friend.  It features Contemporary Roses which is an MFT stamp set designed by Mona Pendleton.   This is such a gorgeous set and so versatile! When I first saw this stamp set, I thought it would perfect for this occasion!  I also thought the images from this set would look beautiful in watercolor so that's what I ended up doing.  For the roses and leaves, I decided to stamp them using some white embossing powder and then watercolored over them with my Koi watercolor paint set.  I cut out my flowers and then put them up on some dimensionals. I also added some Wink of Stella in clear to make these roses nice and shimmery.  For the background, I used some of my Tim Holtz distress inks mixed with water to give the background a watercolor effect.  I also took a small paintbrush and splattered it in random spots on my card for more interest.  I really love using my watercolor paint set but also love how distress inks can also be used to give a watercolor effect which is just as pretty!

Here are the Supplies Used:
Contemporary Roses - (Mona Pendleton Design) MFT
Peacock Feathers - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Spun Sugar -Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Shaded Lilac - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Picked Raspberry-Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see the items used on my card and all of the fantastic MFT stamp sets.  Also, we have a new "Sensational Sunday" blog hop which starts tomorrow so make sure to come back soon!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Hugs,
Marcy
