Doll Tag

Hey everyone. Shanna here with a  little Thursday inspiration!

I created a tag using a Julie Nutting Prima Doll tag.

Her name is Shay! I stamped her on some white cardstock and colored her with some watercolor pencils. Talk about fun!

Then I stamped her again on some Prima Paper - Epiphany Collection. I paper pieced the outfit together and layered her down.

For the tag I started with some Distress Paint (Cracked Pistachio), dried it, and then used the Distress Ink Abandoned Coral with a blending tool around the edges. Splattered some water and then let it dry.

I added my built up image and embellished the tag.

Don't forget to stop by the store and see all the new stuff coming in.

Dare to Spread Your Wings

A little mixed media inspiration for you all today! Shanna here and I am beyond happy and excited to play with some new Prima goodies that will be coming to the store soon. I cannot get enough playing with tags lately.

I first adhered down my paper, then gesso'd and inked them up.

I did use some dimensional paint with a stencil and tons of background stamping using the new Prima stamps.

I tried to give some dimension with the butterfly and the vellum tag but not sure it turned out exactly how I wanted it to.

More Tags!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for another Holly-Day Monday Inspiration Blog Post.  I have been busy making more tags!  I can't seem to get enough of them.  Here is another set of six:

It started with these two.   I just love the little bunnies in this set and through they would look cute holding the ribbons.

Then I thought about how cute it would be to have this bird sit on a birdhouse on the tag.  In real life, the color of the house matches the color in the paper dots, lol.

And finally,  I have this thing for whimsical squirrels and chipmunks.  I just love them.  I stamped each image, colored with my copics and then adhered them down.  I love these two sets, among others.... lol.

Okay, no matter what you do, do not miss tomorrow post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog!  You do  not want to miss it.

That's all I'm saying, lol.   Oh and go check out the New Items in the store!

Singing Loud

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Holly-Day Monday and my turn to show you some inspiration.   Today I made six tags, lol, once I got started on one, I had to make the set.

I also added some glossy accents to the noses. I thought about a red nose, but there is nothing like a black shiny nose, lol.   I used the Blueprints 6 tags die to cut them out with the Snowy Day music paper and sponged with old paper ink using my distressed blending tool.  I then used the scallop edged circle to cut out with the red Snowy Day paper.  I used the mini doily's to cut out the white.  I stamped my Reindeer on X-Press It paper six times and colored them first with E23, E25, E27 and then the antlers with E41, E42, E43, then I fussy cut them all out and layered up.  I used a couple punches I had on hand to make the tag tops in green but later noticed this was included in the Die-namics Blueprints Tag Builder set, lol.  That would have been helpful to know, lol.

I hope you are having a great season!  Don't forget to stop by the New Items in the store and check out what you want to get in the mail for your own Holly-Day!  There is also a few hours left to get into our current challenge!

Thanks for Looking and checking in on us,

Holly

Prima Tag

Welcome to a new Thursday of inspiration. I decided to create a tag this time around using a fun new Prima stamp in the store.

First I covered the tag with different sprays.

Then I stamped the image and added some splatters.

I added some Chit Chat stickers with gel medium and used my PITT Pen to add shadow around the words.

I also used a white gel pen to add highlights everywhere!

This was such a quick tag I threw together so I hope you enjoyed it and try a Bloom Girl Tag yourself. Be sure to check out the rest of the Prima stamps in the store here!

I do plan on getting mixed media supplies and products in the store too in the very near future :)

I hope you enjoyed today's blast of inspiration! I apologize again for the late posting! I also apologize that I couldn't do the links. Blogger does not like the internet explorer browser on this computer and keeps replacing my words with the URL link instead of having it behind the scenes! I wish blogger would get their issues fixed one of these days :)

Have a wonderful day and be sure to check back early this afternoon for our inspirational Monday project from Olivia! Her projects are always adorable too so you don't wanna miss it :)

Happy Stampin! Laura!

Candy Canes Tag

Hi Stampers!

I am back to share with you my second project that I created last night while my creative streak was running high!

I came across a challenge at Little Darlings to create a TAG using one of the super cute Saturated Canary images. Now... I have to confess that I have never made a tag before, believe it or not! I have made small tags that go on cards or things, but never just a stand alone tag!

My second confession is this is my first time actually using a Saturated Canary image! I have had some of these super cute stamps for awhile, and I have some of the digital ones, but this is my first time inking one up! I had a blast coloring this up (took me forever but it was worth it I think) and I can't wait to ink up my other stamps that are waiting for me!

My image is from the first release of Saturated Canary Rubber Stamps called Candy Canes. This was one of my favorite ones from the first series. I colored this using Spectrum Noir Alcohol ink markers. I added this to a large chipboard tag that I covered with papers from the Authentique - Festive paper pack. I added a corrugated kraft heart with a button over some cherry cobbler ribbon which I layered on some crochet lace ribbon so it has a kind of "country" feel. My sentiment is from the Saturated Canary digi set Ugly Christmas Sweater.

Here is a closer peek at my image:

I hope you enjoyed my first tag...and my first (of many to come) Saturated Canary project! :)
I was thinking that these would make cute Christmas ornaments too!

We do carry the Saturated Canary Rubber stamps at Loves Rubberstamps. On NOVEMBER 19th.... mark your calendars because we will have the NEW RELEASE Saturated Canary rubber stamps available for pre-ordering! There are 15 new images coming out in rubber stamp form and they are all absolutely adorable! We will be offering a surprise free gift for everyone that preorders with us :)
