Happy 4th of July card!

Hello and Happy Saturday! Not only am I happy that the weekend is here but I'm also excited that today is the 4th of July holiday!  I look forward to spending a great day with family and friends.  I also really love watching the fireworks at night which is always a ton of fun!  In honor of today's special occasion, I've made a patriotic card for my share today!

Here it is...

I've had this cutie from The Greeting Farm for quite some time but it's actually the first time I've created with her!  This sweet Cheeky Mate was perfect for my patriotic card so I was so excited to finally color her up with my copics!  I also added Wink of Stella all over her outfit and you can't really tell in the pic but she has lots of sparkle!  The festive papers I used are from a collection called "Liberty" by Bo Bunny and all the designs are fantastic!  For added embellishment, I found some cute tiny star sequins which I scattered throughout the card for a fun look.  I also added some thin red ribbon from my stash!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Cheeky Mate - The Greeting Farm
Faded Jeans - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Steel Grey Hybrid Ink - My Favorite Things
Liberty - Bo Bunny

For those of you celebrating this 4th of July Holiday, stay safe and have fun!!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Hello, Friend!

Happy Saturday Friends!  Today, I have a fun card share for you.  Hope you like it!

And here it is...

I love the Cheeky Cherry Collection from The Greeting Farm and this is one image I don't feel I use enough!  But she is really so adorable and caught my eye when I was looking for images to use for today!  This is Cheeky Chat!  With the life being so busy these days,  I think many of us rely on technology like emails or texting. What would I do without texting every day?!!! LOL  But that's why this image really makes me remember the good ol' days when I used to actually love to pick up the phone and talk for hours...especially with my BFF! :)  I  know I need to do more of that and this image really did make me smile!  After coloring up this cutie with my copic markers, I then added  Wink of Stella over parts of her outfit to give her some shimmer.   The fun papers I used are called Hey Kid by Pink Paislee.  I think the cheerful bright colors and cool design went well as a background for her. To finish off my card, I used an older MFT stamp set called "Ring Me" for my sentiment.  I also added some sequins and twine.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Cheeky Chat - The Greeting Farm
Mustard Seed - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Steel Grey Hybrid Ink - My Favorite Things
Ring Me Stamp Set - My Favorite Things
Hey Kid - Pink Paislee

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Marcy

Happy Graduation!

Happy Saturday Friends!  Hope you've had a wonderful week and are starting a great weekend!  For my kids, it is the last week of school so we've been so busy with school events and graduations.  2 of my sons graduated the last few days from middle school and elementary school.  The schools over here have promotion ceremonies for this which are so so special and fun to watch!

So my share today are a few very simple graduation cards I created for my kids in celebration of their milestone events!

Here they are...

The 2 adorable graduate images are Graduation Luka from La La Land Crafts and Grad Ian (digi) from The Greeting Farm.  Both are so perfect for these celebration cards!  I colored both images up with my copics and kept the cards very CAS to really just focus in on the fun images and the special graduation theme.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Graduation Luka - La La Land Crafts
Grad Ian - The Greeting Farm

For all of you celebrating 2015 graduations,  a big congratulations to your celebrants and to your families!

Hugs,
Marcy

Celebrate!

Hello and Happy Saturday! It's Marcy here with some inspiration for today!  I have quite a few birthdays coming up in the next few months so I thought I'd start getting some cards created!

Here's my b-day card share....

This adorable Dollie with Cupcake is always a perfect image for fun, girly birthday cards!  Dollie is so super cute and who doesn't love cupcakes too, right?!!  I colored her up with my copics and then added Wink of Stella all over her dress and cupcake for some fun sparkle!  I also added some polka dots to parts of her dress with my white gel pen.   I love to do that!  For the background, I used one of my favorite Doodlebug Designs papers called "Sweetheart" and I thought it matched so well with her outfit!  I also sprinkled some sequins on the background which always seems to complete my card! :)

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Dollie with Cupcake - The Greeting Farm
Sweetheart - Doodlebug Designs
Picked Raspberry - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

You Bring out the Happy in Me!

Hello and welcome to my Inspiration post for this wonderful Saturday!!!  Hope you're all enjoying a nice weekend.  I'm so excited with Summer right around the corner and thought I'd make a fun happy card!

Here it is...

Here's another adorable cutie from the  TGF Magical Kit.  She's actually one of the originals called "Shimmer Bean" and I was excited to see her in this awesome set again!  I colored her up with my copics and then added Wink of Stella all over her cute outfit!  For the background, I used some TH distress markers to water color on some water color paper.  I hadn't done this in a while so it was so much fun! I also added droplets of water to the background which gave a cool resist effect,  making the water color stand out even more!  The sentiment was from my stash and I just embossed it to the background  using some white embossing powder.    To finish off my card, I added some fun yellow twine and of course sequins! :)

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Wild Honey, Tattered Rose, Tumbled Glass - Tim Holtz Distress Markers
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

Have a wonderful weekend and see you back next week!

You Make My Heart Sing

Happy Saturday Friends!  Hope you're all having a wonderful day and that some of you get to enjoy the longer Memorial Holiday weekend!  I've been under the weather this week with the "Sicky Bugs" which have been been passing through my household lately.  I'm a little disappointed that I am still having to recoup during his holiday weekend.  However, I am also thankful I will have some extra time to hopefully rest up and get better!  Well,  to cheer me up this weekend, I made a fun and cheerful card to share with you all!

Here it is...

This cutie comes from the adorable TGF Magical Kit.  She's one of the newbies in that set and I absolutely love her!!!  I colored her up with my copics and then added Wink of Stella all over her dress and flowers in her hair. The lovely papers in the background are from a collection called Dear Lizzy Neopolitan by American Crafts.  These backgrounds are so pretty!  The sentiment also came from the set which was pretty cool.   To finish off my card, I added some roses, twine and sequins...my favorite embellies!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Dear Lizzy Neopolitan - American Crafts
Red Barn - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Memorial Day!

Before I show you my project for today I wanted to let you know that we will be posting a DESIGN TEAM CALL for our Design Team term that starts May 1st and runs through August 30th. We will have the details and how to try out for the team on our Tuesday April 7th Challenge. You do not need prior design team experience to apply. We would love to have you try out!

Today I wanted to create a scenery style card. I love sponging sky backgrounds and making outdoors scenes for my cards and I don't do it as often as I would like. Today my card was inspired by the outdoor scenes that Delphine creates. I have always admired her little outdoor scenes that she creates and I really love how she does her grass area to give the scene depth. So I read through a few of her tutorials and tried a scene of my own :)

I don't think it turned out too shabby for the first time I tried this style. I really like how my grass area turned out...I tried something different with the sky and clouds and I am not sure I am really loving that part...but it may still grow on me - LOL!

I didn't have any of the colors that Delphine uses in her tutorial so I had to use a mix of my copics and spectrum noir markers for the scene. I was pretty irritated because many of my spectrum noir markers were dried out! Some I had never even used yet and I am not happy about that! I have always kept them in a cool environment with no temperature extremes so I don't know why they are dry. So I was even more limited on my color choices because I had to find markers that worked! GRRRR!

For my clouds I am awful at drawing the cloud shapes so I decided to use the cute cloud image in Paper Smooches Forest Whimsy set by stamping just the tops with Memento London Fog ink. It was darker than I wanted it to be so I ended up swirling my white gel pen over it and then blending that with my finger to try and tone it down. I also added clear wink of stella over my clouds for some shimmer. I want to try and find a really pale light gray ink to try this again because I don't want it to be as noticible, but I do love the cloud shapes in this stamp set.

My sentiment panel is created using papers from the Prima Optimist paper pack which I will be listing in the store soon.

Here is a closer look at my scene...

That sweet little girl is the Blush Babette image from The Greeting Farm. I really love the images from this collection.
