Magnolia Card

Hello all you lovelies. Shanna here and I get to inspire you all with more inspiration today! I just love making Magnolia cards. Some are always better than others but this one today is a true FAVORITE!

I colored her with copics to match these My Mind's Eye Papers.

I found some lace and some Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers that really set this off perfectly.

Reading Beauty

Happy Thursday to you all. I have some Loves Rubberstamps inspiration for you all.

I used this beauty from Saturated Canary Stamps. She was colored with copic markers on copic paper. I colored her up before matching papers to her, but I love how well it came together.

I then finished the card off with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers.

You Make My Heart Sing

Happy Saturday Friends!  Hope you're all having a wonderful day and that some of you get to enjoy the longer Memorial Holiday weekend!  I've been under the weather this week with the "Sicky Bugs" which have been been passing through my household lately.  I'm a little disappointed that I am still having to recoup during his holiday weekend.  However, I am also thankful I will have some extra time to hopefully rest up and get better!  Well,  to cheer me up this weekend, I made a fun and cheerful card to share with you all!

Here it is...

This cutie comes from the adorable TGF Magical Kit.  She's one of the newbies in that set and I absolutely love her!!!  I colored her up with my copics and then added Wink of Stella all over her dress and flowers in her hair. The lovely papers in the background are from a collection called Dear Lizzy Neopolitan by American Crafts.  These backgrounds are so pretty!  The sentiment also came from the set which was pretty cool.   To finish off my card, I added some roses, twine and sequins...my favorite embellies!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Dear Lizzy Neopolitan - American Crafts
Red Barn - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Memorial Day!

Hugs,
Marcy

Cancer Tilda

Shanna here and now it is a new Thursday and I thought with June right around the corner (and me being a Cancer) I thought it appropriate to play along with this image.

She is colored up with copics and paired with some older My Mind's Eye papers.

I added crackle accents to the bubbles to add texture and create a fun vibe on my card as well.

I finished the card off with some Wild Orchid Crafts.

Moments Canvas

Happy Saturday all!  Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  Today, I have a fun canvas to share which I had made for my mom for Mother's Day last weekend!

Here it is...

I don't really have a chance to make layouts very often although I do love making them!  And of course they make fantastic gifts too!   For my project,  I started off with a blank white canvas which I painted with some Martha Stewart acrylic paint in "Sea Glass".  I added some Prima paper on top and distressed the edges along with the picture with my Tim Holtz distress tool.   Now the fun part is adding all the embellies.   I added some fabric trim, some Prima trinkets and lots of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.   I think my favorite piece is the little cupid angel at the top corner! :)  I also used a couple of bottles of my Tattered Angels glimmer mist to splatter bits of color all over the layout.  It's a little hard to see in the photo but I thought it came out pretty cool!

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Sunshine - Prima Marketing
Trinkets and Embellishments - Prima Marketing
Glimmer Mist - Tattered Angels
Distress Tool - Tim Holtz
Sea Glass - Martha Stewart

Hope you enjoyed my project!  Make sure to visit here tomorrow for a new Blog Hop!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fun Shaker Card!

Hello! It's Marcy here and I have a fun and simple shaker card to share with you all today.

Here is my card...

Shaker cards are so much fun to fill with colorful sequins, glitter and lots of other crafty yumminess!   I just can't get enough of them these days!  I used some Pink Bazzill polka dot paper to frame my shaker window as well as the base of the card.  The background papers used on my card are from an adorable collection called Sweetheart by Doodlebug Design. And my sentiment  "Love You" was created using the My Favorite Things new DIE-NAMICS set called Love & Adore You Die Set.  I've used this DIE-NAMICS set on several of my cards these last few months so I know I've definitely gotten my money's worth!  It's just so easy to use and I love the look of a die cut sentiment.  To finish off my card, I found some Jute Rope to tie in a bow and some lovely Wild Orchid Crafts roses.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Sweetheart - Doodlebug Design
Spun Sugar - Tim Holtz distress ink
Pink Polka Dot Paper - Bazzill

Vintage Tags using distress inks

Hi Friends and Happy Saturday!!! I have something a little different from my usual card to share with you all today!

Here are some vintage tags I've made using my distress inks...

So when I first started making cards, my style was very much different from how I create today.  I would say it was more of a vintage grunge style.  I definitely couldn't do without my distress inks and I loved to layer and use flowers in everything I made.  Now with distress inks as popular as ever as well as stencils, pastes, sprays, water coloring, background stamps etc..., I've been having so much fun creating different backgrounds with all of my art media supplies! I also love layering whenever I have a chance which is perfect with these types of projects!

Here are the supplies used:
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz distress ink
Spun Sugar - Tim Holtz distress ink
Vintage Photo - Tim Holtz distress ink
Dried Marigold - Tim Holtz distress ink
Black Soot - Tim Holtz distress ink
Butterfly punch - Martha Stewart
Black Sparkling Embossing Powder - Ranger
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink
Multi- Medium Matte glue - Ranger

Hope this gives you some inspiration to get grungy with your inks!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Hugs,
Marcy
