Hi Again Stampers!
I am on a ROLL! I was blog hopping around and saw a super fun Blog Hop Challenge from All Dressed Up stamps and thought I would play along! I know I know...TWO cards in one day!! It is quite the miracle - LOL!
All Dressed Up had the cutest freebie image that you had to use to create a project for their challenge. It just so happens that I love their stamps...and I need to beef up my birthday card stash since I will have just this one as a spare :) Here it is:
Isn't that image adorable?!?!?! How do you like my Birthday Sentiment :D I have been 29 and holding for the last 10 years but who is counting! Once you hit 29 you just stay there - LOL!
I used some cute Basic Grey papers from my crafty stash. I thought that it was neat that the brown paper had a flower image that is really similar to the Petaloo ones I had just purchased that came in the mail TODAY! It was a sign I think that I needed to use them :)
Here is a close up of the image:
I added some stickles to give her some bling and some frantage to the panel too. I am sorry the pictures have a yellow tint to them I had to take the picture at night and our lighting is not ideal!
I used the Sketch N Stash card sketch for my layout...
Thanks for stopping by again today! Be sure to scroll down and check out my post from earlier today that is for our Loves Rubberstamps Warm Colors Challenge! I used the no lines coloring technique for the first time :)
Have a great day!
Laura

CASE-ing the place!
If you are looking for my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe, just scroll down or click here.
I am doing this second post today because I wasn't able to get my Design Team Project for Crafty Sentiments Designs or this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge posted yesterday with our internet issues...so this is my YESTERDAY POST :)
This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs the theme is BIRTHDAYS! This is great because I never have enough birthday cards in my stash :) Here is my card:
I haven't had a chance to get this super cute stamp inky yet and when I heard the theme for this week...I knew it was time to color her up! This stamp is called Gipsy Heart. The sentiment is from a stamping bella stamp set but I thought it was perfect for our little fortune teller :)
Now you can't really tell very well in the picture above, but after I colored this with my copics I added some gold glitter pen to her outfit and little dangles on her skirt. I wanted her outfit to look like a shimmery silk. Here are some close ups and a side view to see the shimmer. I also added stickles to the crystal ball, the beads, and her ankle bracelet.
Now this week for the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge we were supposed to CASE one of our own cards or choose one of the Loves Rubberstamps Design Team members to CASE... I chose to CASE one of my own favorite cards...
I hope you play along with us in BOTH The CRAFTY SENTIMENT DESIGNS - BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE and the LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS - CASE-ING CHALLENGE :)
Have a great night and thanks for stopping by again :) Sorry I wasn't able to post this yesterday!

Birthday Mae
Happy Monday Stampers!
I am hoping that this week is better than last week for myself and many of our Design Team members. Quite a few of us had some very serious family emergencies going on, so we are all praying for a better week :)
What better way to start out the week than with a bright, cheery card from Olivia! She always makes my Monday a little brighter with her fun projects! Take a look at this cutie...
Olivia used the adorable Birthday Mae from Some Odd Girl. I love how Olivia colored her hair to match the colors in the Designer paper she chose! That flower with the cupcake bling center is so cute! Love it! After last week...I could use a cupcake or 12 myself - LOL!
You have a few more hours to play along in this week's Loves Rubberstamps Fall Colors challenge! Our Guest Sponsor is Kenny K this week! Also if you didn't get the chance yesterday...be sure to hop along with us in our blog hop - the design team ladies did such a gorgeous job! Plus on my post you will get a peek at my new adorable nephew! He was definitely the highlight of my week :)
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Hi Stampers,

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly drawing for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher! We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments!
For my project I thought I would share my Secret Release project that I created for the September New Release for Crafty Sentiments Designs. I have had quite a few people ask if we will be getting the new releases in the store and the answer is YES! I do plan on getting ALL of the Crafty Sentiments Designs images that we can carry in the store, listed as a Preorder. That way we make sure we are ordering the customer requests first because there have been quite a few new ones since our last order! So look for those this week!
I was given the super cute Space Walking image for my project. Now this probably dates me, but just remember I am 29 :) ... when I was little one of my favorite candy treats to get when Grandpa took us to the store was Pop Rocks. When I saw this image I thought it would be cute to make a little Pop Rocks Wallet! Pop Rocks are getting harder to find now, but you can still find then at convenience stores and sometimes around the holidays in the bigger stores.
to cover the back cover – 2 7/8” x 5 3/8”
For the Inside Flap Piece – 2” x 5 3/8”

I colored my image with Copic markers. I did the background around my image by just doing dots in different shades because I wanted it to look like they were floating in space. The papers that I used are from Graphic 45 which we will be getting in the store soon :)
If you are wondering how I created my Pop Rocks Wallet here is a tutorial for you...
To create the wallet:
Take an 8.5” x 5.5” piece of cardstock
Along the 8.5” side – Score at 3 3/16” and 6 3/8”
Take Designer paper to Decorate if you wish…
Your Designer Paper to cover the front will be – 3 1/8” x 5 3/8”
You will want to place your Designer Paper on the Inside Flap FIRST, then place your two Brads to hold the flap shut, and then place your back cover Designer Paper on. That way the back sides of the brads are covered.
To Create the Belly Band:
Take an 8” long piece of cardstock or Designer Paper and score at 2 5/16” on each end
Fold around and secure. You can mount your image to the Belly Band.
Be sure to check out what the other Designers have for you today ! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for the most chances to win to be in our drawing on October 6th!! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
Nina
Have a great day!

Feeling KRAFTY!
Hi Stampers!
I am SUPER... OVER THE MOON EXCITED!! I just received an email from a very well known, mega talented stamp artist and she has chosen our store as one of the select few that will get to carry her stamp line!! She is limiting the retailers to just a small handful so I am super excited we get to be one of them! I have admired her work for a LONG time! I am going to keep it a surprise for a bit though...but I can promise you will LOVE her stamps!
We also want to thank everyone that applied for our Design Team term for the September - December session! We had so many amazing entries - that Holly and I will have our hands full narrowing our choices! It won't be easy as we feel every person that applied had something very unique and special to offer and would make a great addition to our team.
Today is Monday so that means we get to see a mega dose of cuteness from Olivia! Yay!
Olivia chose this super cute image from The Greeting Farm's Oliver and Amelia series. She colored him up using copic markers on Kraft paper. I love the look of this style, but I think it is a little intimidating until you just try it! It creates a neat look I think. That gorgeous designer paper is from the Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection. Her sentiment was layered on to a super cute mini doily created using the Mini Doily Die-Namics Die Set from My Favorite Things.
Totally adorable and such a cute masculine or boy card! LOVE it!
You still have a few hours to get in on this week's Loves Rubberstamps Skinny card challenge! It is fun to try a new size card once in awhile! I never would have thought I would love the skinny card size until I tried one! You should try one too and then show it off in our challenge :)
Have a wonderful day all & thanks for stopping by!

Turtle Love!
Hi Stampers!
Hope your week is going well so far! Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday - time just flew by! I will save my project for this weekend :)
Today is Thursday which means some cute Inspiration from Ceal!
This is such a cute card, especially for a little one! I think turtles are so adorable, especially the huge Tortoises! One time we went to a zoo when Austin was about 9 or so...anyway this one tortoise LOVED him. He would stick his little head up as far as he could and every time Austin moved he would go as fast as he could over to where he went - it was so funny! I think their faces look like little old men that are super wise. They should be since they live to be 100 years old - LOL! Can you tell I am SUPER TIRED because I am rambling - LOL!
Anyway...back to Ceal's card...these cute Tortoises or Turtles and sentiment are from the Lawn Fawn Year Two Stamp Set. I love the color of cardstock Ceal chose, it makes the turtles really pop!
Well...it is time for me to go home and get some sleep! Be sure to check out all our NEW ITEMS in the store....we have loads more coming too :)
Play along this week in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Adding a Charm...we have a special sponsor of The Paper Shelter this week in addition to the Loves Rubberstamps prize!

Pink Champagne & CAKE!
Hi Stampers!
Today is a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs called BLING IT ON! This week we want you to break out your bling and use it on a project!
This week I decided to try making a cute box that is decorated in the shape of a cake using flower soft and paint. I had seen this cute box designed by Mindy Baxter a long time ago and it has always been on my "to try" list and I thought this week's challenge was perfect for it!
Here is my version...
I decided to make my cake using Blue and Cream colors with a little silver mixed in. I used the adorable Cheers stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs and colored her with my copics. My copic markers bleed through my paper in spots so I placed her on black cardstock and cut out the image leaving a border.
My cake was created using the 3"x3" notecard box tutorial on splitcoaststampers and then I used inspiration from Mindy's cake to decorate. I used FolkArt Metallic Acrylic paint in Blue Pearl, which I will be adding this to our store soon. This is a pretty paint with a silver shimmer. It didn't stay raised like I hoped like Mindy's paint, but it still looks really pretty.
I covered the bottom using Delphinium Blue Flower Soft Sprinkles and created my own flowers using the My Favorite Things Large Rolled Rose Die-Namics to create the cream roses. To created the Rolled Blue flowers I just punched a 1 3/4" circle and cut it in a spiral and rolled it using my Hybrid petal Roller Tool.
Here is a look at the top...
My sentiment tags are from LOTV that I stamped in Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain and my large center flower I created using the My Favorite Things Loopy Bloom Die-Namics. This flower I made using a cream colored felt. This is one of my FAVORITE Dies! LOVE IT! My bling flourishes on top are from prima.
Here is a close up of my beautiful Cheers image from Crafty Sentiments Designs...
I think this is a super cute box that you can put a little gift in for someones birthday! I hope you play along with us this week and get your bling on!
Thanks for stopping by! I will be sharing my Inspirational Piece for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge of Using a Charm on tomorrow's post, but feel free to play along before then :)
For the Our Daily Bread Challenge that I am entering this into ... I used this cake for Inspiration...
Have a great day!

Yummy...Ice Cream!
Hi Stampers!
Sorry for the late post today for my Design team project for The Cutting Cafe. My sister called me about 11:15 this morning to let me know that my Step-Dad might have to have his foot or part of it amputated. He apparently got an infection in it quite awhile ago and did not go to the doctor and it has now spread into his bone and is going up his leg. They put a drain in it this morning and did an MRI and are running some other tests so we are waiting to hear what they suggest be done. Pretty scary! Not the way I wanted to get woke up after only 3 hours of sleep. He lives in Arizona too, so we can't be at the hospital - so I am just sitting here waiting for news. They thought they would know something about 5:30 this evening.
While I am waiting I am trying to stay busy and I wanted to get my Design team project posted!
Regina has been unveiling some AWESOME new files over this last month so if you haven't checked out the new release section at The Cutting Cafe - you are missing out!
This week we had to use a few of the newer release sets. We had to use the String & Button Envelope Template and then we could choose one of the four Tall Cards that are designed to fit inside this special envelope. We could us the Tall Cake, Tall Flowers, Tall Present or Tall Ice Cream. They are all so cute it was hard to pick :) Here is what I finally settled on...
ICE CREAM :) I thought this cone was super adorable! This is a shaped folded card - how cute is THAT?
Here is a close up of my envelope ...
I decorated my envelope using one of my favorite Kenny K images from Whimsy Stamps called Troublemaker. I colored her with my copic markers and the pants are colored with spectrum noir markers. After coloring my image I cut her out and popped her up on dimensionals on a cute notebook paper I found laying around :) The carefree moment is a Lilybee rub on. The hanging bead from my twine end is actually a paper bead I made using Regina's Paper Beads Template file.
Here is a look at the back of the String & Button Envelope ...
I really love this envelope file! I think it would be super cute to use these in a mini album! I plan on trying that out someday :)
Now here is a close up of my Tall Ice Cream Cone Shaped Card ...
The cone part I embossed both horizontally and vertically with an embossing folder that has random twigs on it for texture. The Middle ice cream scoop is created using another new file from The Cutting Cafe called Ice Cream Flavors Printable Background Set. Love this paper :) My other scoops are from My Mind's Eye.
Here is a close up of my Troublemaker image ...
Thanks for stopping by today! Also...be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog and see what the other Design Team members created! If you leave a comment on the post there you could win 3 free files of your choice! Awesome!
Happy Stampin!

The Middle ice cream scoop is created using another new file from The Cutting Cafe called Ice Cream Flavors Printable Background Set. Love this paper :) My other scoops are from My Mind's Eye.
Here is a close up of my Troublemaker image ...

Oh Duck!
Happy Saturday Stampers!
Hope you are having a great weekend so far! Mine will be busy busy working on getting lots of new things in the store! We have loads of exciting stuff coming so be sure to keep tabs on our New Items section because that is where you can find everything added to the store recently :)
Don't forget.... the new Saturated Canary images will be up for PREORDER on Monday! As a thank you to all of you that preorder from us - you will get a little surprise gift in your order :)
Now... Saturdays are extra special because not only is it the weekend...but because you also get to see one of Jacqueline's mini works of art! She has been busting out some gorgeous Christmas cards...but today she took a little break and created an amazing masculine card for her Dad's Birthday coming up!
How adorable is this? This is the perfect masculine card for any guy that goes hunting! Now I have to admit that this stamp set makes me giggle. It is called Oh Duck! and it is from the Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Different Collection. We do have a few Sheena Douglass stamps available now, including the paint fushion line, and will be adding this cute set along with the others in the series very soon :)
The absolute cool thing about this stamp is that main image panel is all one stamp! The black cattails, the duck, water, sentiment, and those textured words are all the main image! Love that! Jacqueline added extra layers and texture by adding some "weeds" that she cut from designer paper. I think that the colors that Jacqueline used are just stunning! She colored the background by masking off her duck and then airbrushing it using a copic airbrush system. She then colored her duck using prismacolor pencils! Doesn't it look like you could just pluck him off your screen? It looks that real!
Jacqueline completed her card using the Whimsy Stamps Celebration Mini Tickets for the Happy Birthday tickets.
I love this card and I am sure that Jacqueline's Dad will love it even more!
Have a great weekend!

Mega Dose of Cuteness Alert!
Good Morning Stampers!
I woke up to our website being down! GRRRRR!!! I have emailed my webhost and am waiting to hear back! Hopefully it will not be very long because I have LOTS of things to do and lots of things to add still! This is the first time that my site went down since I have had it so I hope it doesn't become a common occurrence! Not a good start to my week - LOL!
I am so glad that Olivia is our Monday Inspirations because her creations are super adorable and today we get a mega dose of cuteness that is guaranteed to make you smile!
Look at how adorable Olivia's little girl is!! What a little sweetheart!! See...you can't help but look at this super cute scrapbook page and NOT smile! LOL!
Olivia accented her page with Cupcake Emma from C.C. Designs. Check out how Olivia Paper Pieced the image! The sentiment is from the Birthday Girl A La Modes stamp set by My Favorite Things. Olivia did a beautiful job with this layout and the accents. I love the flower borders mixed in different areas for some added texture. I also like the more simple design of the layout, there are enough extra elements to make it interesting, but doesn't overpower those adorable photos.
I will add the links to my post as soon as the store site is back up! I just checked again and no dice...hopefully it will be back up quick!
Hope your Monday goes better than mine has started - LOL!
Happy Stampin!

Surpriseabella!
Good Morning Stampers!
Are you recovering from all that candy last night? We didn't have as many trick-or-treaters this year. We only had about 20 kids when last year we had about 60. I let my son pass it out and after the first hour we had TONS of candy left so he started piling it into the kids bags who showed up! Then he would just giggle about how fun it was to see the kids face when they get about 20 - 30 pieces of candy from one house - LOL! He ended up giving it all out :) It was his first time passing it out and I think he had a lot of fun. My husband was mortified that he gave all the CHOCOLATE candy away! Usually I have to buy candy for the trick or treaters and then a special bag of chocolate candy bars for my husband so he stays out of the candy for the kids. He wasn't going to be home so I didn't do that this year so when he did get home he was expecting his chocolate - LOL - Oops!
Today I have a super cute card created by Ceal to share with you!
Ceal used a really cute image from Stamping Bella called Curly Surpriseabella. We have just a couple of the bella stamps in currently and will be expanding this line as soon as we can. If you ever have one you will be needing for a special occasion, just shoot us an email and we will try and get it in as quick as we can for you :) I love the beautiful layout that Ceal used with the doily behind the main image panel. Makes it a simple but classy card that any girl would love!
Don't forget to leave a comment on our Sensational Sunday Post for a chance to win a gift voucher to our store!
We also have this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge going on so be sure to play! We have a special guest sponsor this week in addition to the chance to win a gift voucher to our store! This week our challenge is a Pinterest Photo Challenge that is perfect for this time of year :)
Here is the photo! Just think of all the ways to be inspired... the colors, the plaid pattern, the lady herself, the bandanna, the hot beverage... How fun! We hope you play!
Have a great day & Happy Stampin!

Happy Birthday toooooo Yooooouuu!
Good Afternoon All!
That was me singing to you in my title! Better to have me sing to here...like this... than in real life - LOL! Holy smokies... it is OCTOBER!!! This is such a pretty time of year I think, as long as the weather is nice and it doesn't get too cold - LOL! I am a pretty big baby when it comes to cold... I don't like it! The only GOOD thing about cold weather is when it snows, as long as it is the really soft kind, with no wind, and it is super sparkly...and I don't have to go outside in it! But hopefully there will be no snow in our forecast for quite awhile!
The OTHER thing about October that is fun is that my daughter's birthday is the 24th! She has been reminding me since LAST year on October 25th that it was almost her birthday...LOL! She will be 20!! Which I also can't believe! Where does the time go?
Olivia's super cute card today reminded me of all the family birthdays we have this month! It seems our whole family is born in either October... or April! Makes it easy for having birthday parties because you just have one big one! The tough part is finding a cake big enough to write about 8 names on it - LOL!
This is such a cute birthday card for a little boy! Olivia used the adorable Birthday Ian from The Greeting Farm. We have just got our first small order in of the Anya and Ian stamps and will be adding a few each time we order :) Ian was colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink Markers and those awesome ticket sentiments are from the Whimsy Stamps Raindrop Echo Sentiments Collection called Celebration Mini Tickets.
I love the colors that Olivia chose. Her cards are always so bright and cheerful! I love the background papers because they really let the image be the star and they give it a fall feel which is a perfect for October birthdays! AND .... Olivia is bound and determined to make me have to go buy a cricut! She has been rockin' the shaped cards using her's and now I want one too...LOL!
Be sure to swing by Olivia's Blog - ORM Crafty Nights and let her know how cute this card is :)
You will want to be sure to check out our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog because tomorrow we are debuting our October - December Design Team AND also our October Guest Designer! Plus we have a special guest sponsor of SHAPE EZ by TLC! It will be AWESOME!!
Be sure to play along in our challenges for the chance to win prizes...and beacuse they are always super fun!!

Yummy Frosting...Oh My!
Hi Stampers....
I am back and got my pics all taken of my card that should have posted YESTERDAY...hubby's and their need for sleep...geeze - LOL!!!
Anyway here it is...my Birthday Lulu with her super yummy paper pieced cupcake with my homemade paper "frosting"...
I made this for this week's Kraftin Kimmie Challenge to use paper piecing on your card. I paper pieced the cupcake wrapper and Lulu's party hat and dress. I used papers from the Simple Stories 6x6 paper pack - Baby Steps.
The color scheme works for the challenge at Polka Doodles....Ice Cream Colors. I love ice cream and I have lots of favorite flavors so it is hard to pick just one...
Neopolitan (cuz you get 3 flavors in one!) Chocolate (my base), Strawberry (frosting), Vanilla (main designer paper color)
Then once in a great while you just need pistachio which is sort of the greens in my papers...PLUS nothing goes better with ice cream than Cupcakes with Frosting!
My homemade "frosting" is a mixture of shaving cream and elmer's white glue mixed up so it is thick and goopy like melty half dried out cool whip and then I mixed re-inker drops in to color it. When it was thick and goopy enough I piled it on with my stir sick and then sprinkled pink chunk glitter on top and let it sit and dry overnight. It dries so it is a little puffy and the glitter stays on perfectly!
Here are some close ups, I was trying to capture the puffy frosting like texture, kinda hard to get so I hope you can see it ok....
I also did the "out of the box" technique for my circle piece. The layout is for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge #258.
Be sure that you check out HOLLY'S CARD from today...she also created an ADORABLE Kraftin Kimmie Paper Pieced creation!
Don't miss our DESIGN TEAM CALL either! I am going to try and figure out how to make it a sticky...so wish me luck :)
I am off to TRY and sleep since I have to report to work...not by choice... at 3am and work until 3pm...how exciting!
Happy Stampin All! Try the frosting technique and let me know what you think! Leave a link to your project so I can check it out :)

Dandelion Fuzz
Good Morning Stampers!
I FINALLY had a chance to make it to my craft room and play for awhile! When I first saw the sneak peek for the MY FRIEND stamp set I thought the little fluff circle looked like a dandelion, so that is what I made with it... a super sparkly ball of dandelion fluff! Take a look....

See what I mean? I first stamped the image in whisper white on basic black card stock, then used heat & stick powder, and then used dazzling diamonds glitter. I then took my white gel pen and dotted in the little seeds. I also used dazzling diamonds on the star in the wish big sentiment. The layout was inspired by a card I saw on splitcoaststampers that was made by Toy. Here is a close up of my dandelion so you can see the sparkle...

I really love how this turned out! Here is what I used:
Stampin Up! Stamp Sets: My Friend, Word Play
Paper: Stampin Up! Basic Black & Whisper White
Ink: Stampin Up! Classic ink pads in Basic Black, Craft Ink Pad Whisper White
Accessories: Stampin Up! 2 3/8" Scallop punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Handheld 1/16" circle punch, heat & stick powder, dazzling diamonds glitter, heat tool, Eyelet border punch, score tool, dimensionals, versamarker, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Basic Black, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, white gel pen
