Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends and Happy Saturday!  I have a fun birthday card to share for today.

Here it is...

I couldn't wait to get out the adorable Balloon Kaylee who is always one of my favorite images to color for birthdays.  SOG is one of my favorite stamp companies and their images are so much fun to color.  I colored up Kaylee with my Copic Markers and then added Wink of Stella to parts of her dress to add some sparkle.   I also added some white polka dots to her outfit for some fun dimension.  And recently, I have rediscovered doilies and now I can't stop using them! LOL  I added one as a simple background along with some pretty papers from Basic Grey and a Prima flower I found sitting in my stash.  I also scattered some enamel dots in the background...another fav I've found again! :)

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Balloon Kaylee - Some Odd Girl
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink
Red Barn - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Clear Glitter Brush Marker - Wink of Stella
RSVP - Basic Grey

Make sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store for all of the adorable SOG stamp sets available. Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to visit tomorrow for an all new Sensational Sunday Blog Hop!!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Sensational Sunday Inspirations Blog Hop

Hi Stampers!

We are excited to be back with our Inspiration Blog this week starting with our Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team ladies have created some stunning inspiration for you this week and we will be back to posting regularly on this blog :) YAY!

Here is my project for you today...

I used the super adorable Polar Bear image from the Some Odd Girl stamp set Winter Friends and it is definitely one of my favorites! I first stamped him using Memento London Fog ink and then colored him using copics in the warm gray colors - W0, W1, W3. My designer paper is also new and from the Doodlebug Frosty Friends collection. My sentiment is stamped in the London Fog as well on shimmer white cardstock and is from the My Favorite Things stamp set Stitched Stockings.

Here is a look at the inside which I decorated as well. I have found that if I don't do the inside at the same time....I never get the inside done - LOL!

I used the same layout as the outside of my card and added just a pop of color with the my Spellbinders Snowflakes cut from glitter paper. If you look at the bottom of the Bazzil Bling Gray paper you will see some sparkly icicles! I cut these using my C.C. Designs Icicle Border die in vellum and then I went over the vellum with Stardust Stickles.  Which will all be in the store soon :)

Here is a closer look at the icicles - If you look on the front of the card I added them there too.

Here is a closer look at my Arctic Night Sky. I sponged this using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce, Shaded Lilac and Broken China. To make my stars I used some of my Shimmer Pebbles chalk and scraped some of the white and placed it on my craft mat. I added a little water using a paint brush and then flicked it onto my paper. It gets more intense as it dries and the shimmer chalk gives it some sparkly bling :) The little faint snowflakes I stamped in the Broken China ink using the two smaller sized ones from the Lawn Fawn set Critters in The Snow. The trees are cut using the My Favorite Things Campy Tree Line Dienamics and shimmer white paper.

Here is a closer look at that sweet little polar bear image....don't you love him ?!?!

For my layout I used the Papertake Weekly Sketch #74.

Happy Birthday with Balloon Kaylee!

Hello Friends, It's Marcy with some inspiration for you all today!

I've been on a roll with making birthday cards and here is another one to share with you...

This summer has been filled with so many birthdays!!!  In fact, we are celebrating my youngest son, Ethan's birthday today! We also have another birthday on Sunday and one next week.  I'm not exactly sure who will be getting this birthday card but it will definitely be given to a birthday celebrant soon!  The cute girl on my card is called Balloon Kaylee.  She's so adorable and I colored up her hair and skin with my Copic Markers.  I ended up paper piecing pretty much everything else on her.  The fun papers I used for this as well as the background are from Doodlebug Designs called Sugar Shoppe.  These papers are so perfect for birthday themed cards.  To finish off my card, I added some sequins and some twine.  The sentiment is also from this same cute stamp set.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Balloon Kaylee - Some Odd Girl
Sugar Shoppe - Doodlebug Designs
Black Tuxedo -Memento Ink
Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see the items used on my card and all the fun SOG stamp sets.   We also have the "Sensational Sunday" blog hop tomorrow so hope you stop by again to visit and join in!

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy

Dance Like No One is Watching!

Happy Saturday Friends!  It's  Marcy here to share some inspiration for you all today!

Here is my card...

This card features the adorable Dancin Mae from Some Odd Girl!  Isn't she so adorable? I love how she is grooving to some tunes and her happy expression!  I've always been a big fan of SOG and was so excited when Laura decided to carry this line at the store!  They just have the sweetest characters and are super fun to color!   So I colored up cute Mae with my copics and then kept my design pretty simple by just adding layers of these beautiful papers by Echo Park called "Beautiful Life".   I added some Recollections bling in some multiple colors for a fun touch!

Here are the Supplies Used:
Dancin Mae - Some Odd Girl
Beautiful Life  - Echo Park
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo -Memento Ink
Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see the items used on my card and to see all of the Some Odd Girl Stamps!  They are all so adorable and there are many to choose from!  Hope to see you back here tomorrow for the fun "Sensational Sunday" blog hop!
