Monster Warts

Hi Stampers!

This week for The Cutting Café the team could choose from 3 super fun files - Halloween Trio, Crazy Candy Corn or A Bunch of Monsters. All of these are Printable Stamp Set files that come with a TON of fun images that you can use for loads of occasions!

As you maybe can guess from my Title I chose the Monsters file to work with :) Here is my card:

This is a card I made that I thought would be cute for one of my nephews :) The sentiment is from the Monsters File too. I thought this would be cute for either a birthday, get well - whatever I need it for since the sentiment is general. I used some bright designer papers and after I did put the card together I thought it needed a little something else. So I plopped on some buttons in colors that match the papers and thought that they could be Monster Warts! LOL!

Be sure to stop by the Cutting Café Blog soon to see all the great projects by the Design Team! While you are there leave a comment for your chance to win some Free Cutting Café Files of your choice from Regina!

Have a great day all and thanks for stopping by!

Oh My....CUTENESS ALERT!

Happy Friday!!

You know what Friday is here on our inspiration blog.... Holly-Day! I swear that as soon as I think I have seen the cutest... most adorable card that Holly could make...she goes and makes something new that is even cuter!!

A-freakin-dorable! I LOVE this! Holly used the cutest La La Land image (well - ONE of their many many cutest) called Pumpkin Marci which she stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. We have this image currently available as a Pre-Order and will be placing our First order next FRIDAY, October 12th in case you want some new Halloween Treats for yourself before it gets here :)

See all those fancy spider webs on Holly's card? Those are from My Favorite Things! The large Spider Web behind the main panel is from the Die-Namics Spider Web and Matching Stamp Set and the small web charm is from the Die-Namics Halloween Charms set that is scheduled for delivery on MONDAY :)

Holly created her spooky sponged sky around the image with Momento Gray Flannel ink and she gets everything held down nice and secure with the Best Glue Ever! Holly even told me you can make GLUE DOTS with this stuff! ♥ LOVE ♥

Holly did an awesome job on this card!! I don't see how Holly could give ANY of her cards away...they are that cute! I would HOARD them all! LOL! Or I would have to make TWO of everything...one to give and one to hoard - LOL!
Well I better get back to being busy in the store... have some cute Halloween stuff that has arrived to get listed before Halloween gets here - LOL!

Have a great night all!

Happy Birthday toooooo Yooooouuu!

Good Afternoon All!

That was me singing to you in my title! Better to have me sing to here...like this... than in real life - LOL! Holy smokies... it is OCTOBER!!! This is such a pretty time of year I think, as long as the weather is nice and it doesn't get too cold - LOL! I am a pretty big baby when it comes to cold... I don't like it! The only GOOD thing about cold weather is when it snows, as long as it is the really soft kind, with no wind, and it is super sparkly...and I don't have to go outside in it! But hopefully there will be no snow in our forecast for quite awhile!

The OTHER thing about October that is fun is that my daughter's birthday is the 24th! She has been reminding me since LAST year on October 25th that it was almost her birthday...LOL! She will be 20!! Which I also can't believe! Where does the time go?

Olivia's super cute card today reminded me of all the family birthdays we have this month! It seems our whole family is born in either October... or April! Makes it easy for having birthday parties because you just have one big one! The tough part is finding a cake big enough to write about 8 names on it - LOL!

This is such a cute birthday card for a little boy! Olivia used the adorable Birthday Ian from The Greeting Farm. We have just got our first small order in of the Anya and Ian stamps and will be adding a few each time we order :) Ian was colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink Markers and those awesome ticket sentiments are from the Whimsy Stamps Raindrop Echo Sentiments Collection called Celebration Mini Tickets.

I love the colors that Olivia chose. Her cards are always so bright and cheerful! I love the background papers because they really let the image be the star and they give it a fall feel which is a perfect for October birthdays! AND .... Olivia is bound and determined to make me have to go buy a cricut! She has been rockin' the shaped cards using her's and now I want one too...LOL!

Be sure to swing by Olivia's Blog - ORM Crafty Nights and let her know how cute this card is :)

You will want to be sure to check out our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog because tomorrow we are debuting our October - December Design Team AND also our October Guest Designer! Plus we have a special guest sponsor of SHAPE EZ by TLC! It will be AWESOME!!

Be sure to play along in our challenges for the chance to win prizes...and beacuse they are always super fun!!

Happy Stampin All!

My Sunday Shares - July 15th

Happy Sunday All!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was one of those up and down weekends. Had some things happen that bummed me out ... but then also had some things happen that have me super excited. So overall...it all evens out in the end :) Always have to look for the silver lining and the doors that open so to speak!

Speaking of silver linings...I will be making a surprise announcement later this evening so be sure to check back for that! :)

Now on to today's shares! This first card is created by the talented Larissa who goes by Milawi on Splitcoaststampers. I was doing my usual search for my obsession...Paper Smooches stamps - LOL - and came across Larissa's A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E card!!

Isn't this the sweetest thing EVER? That huge pile of animals gives me the giggles! Larissa did a fantastic job stamping and masking to create this super cute scene! That Celebrate sign uses toothpicks for the little posts - GENIUS! Larissa used the animals from the Paper Smooches stamp set called Chubby Chums to create the card. You can visit Larissa's Blog - Car-D-elicious to see more details on this cutie!

The second card that I wanted to share with you is absolutely GORGEOUS!! It is created by the mega-talented paper artist Kathy whose beautiful blog is called Joyfully Made Designs.

Isn't this just beautiful? When I was reading about how Kathy created this card I was surprised that it was colored with prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits! The blending and shading she achieved is awesome! I would have guessed that it was done with copics. Makes me want to break out my prismacolors and play with them :) This gorgeous image is called Planting Some Love and this is one of the Belles 'N Whistles stamps that we added to our last order with them since they will be going out of business. Super bummed about that because I LOVE their stamps! Our order shipped yesterday so look for this cutie to be in our store soon!  If you want to read about how Kathy created this summer cutie you can visit her blog post or you can also visit her splicoaststampers gallery - rosekathleenr. Be prepared to spend some time on her sites because she has LOTS of stunning designs!

The last card I want to share with you today was created by the super talented Renee - of Renlymat's World. Check out this super cutie...

I LOVE this card! It is so fun! I love the paper pieced little dinosaurs and the little scene that Renee created. I have never tried a circle card before so I love to look at ones that other people have done. It is on my "things to try" list - LOL! This would be an adorable card for a little boy's birthday. This card uses the Dinosaur Party stamp set from Pink Cat Studio.
Be sure to check out Renee's blog post to read all about this super sweet card or you can also visit her splitcoaststampers gallery - Renlymat for a lot more super cute eye candy!

I hope you all enjoyed today's shares! An extra special thank you to Larissa, Kathy and Renee for allowing me to share their ADORABLE works of art with you! I hope you will check out their sites and be even more inspired by these three very talented ladies!

Don't forget you still have until tomorrow to play along in this week's Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenge - this week it is a Summer Themed card.

Happy Stamping All!

My Sunday Shares - May 20th

Good Morning Everyone!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! Before I show my gorgeous finds for this week I do want to remind you that you have until May 25th to get in your application for becoming a member of our very first Design Team! You do not need prior experience on a team so if you have been wanting to try out for one...we would love to have you :) You can read all about the requirements and the goodies you get for being a member on this blog post.
For today's first share I came across this super adorable card made by the very talented - Julia Aston while I was looking around Splitcoaststampers the other day and just loved it! This is a simple card that packs a big "wow" factor from her use of white embossing powder on her image and a beautiful white die cut tree.

This really catches your eye! Julia's card is created using a Mo Manning Stamp called Bye Bye Boy from Stamping Bella.
Now if you think THAT Julia's card is adorable... you need to check out her blog post about her inspiration for this card... then you will see why her card is so cute :)
If you have some time visit Julia's Blog, Create With Me. Like I said earlier, Julia is a very talented paper crafter and she serves on a few different design teams for some great companies. She has a lot of very beautiful and inspiring projects on her blog.
The second paper artist I came across is also extremely talented and even has her own business selling her amazing cards, called Arty Carty Handmade Cards. Her name is Stephanie Lee and she was kind enough to let me share TWO of her cards because they were both so adorable I would never have been able to decide which one to share!
This first one is a super cute idea for Father's Day, which will be here before you know it! I really love the newspaper print background and the way Stephanie colored her image. The image really "pops" with her use of color against the neutral background.

The image that Stephanie used is from one of my favorite lines from Crafter's Companion called Humphrey's Corner Collection. This particular image she used is called Father's Day and will be in our store, in the near future.
The second card of Stephanie's that I adored is an interactive card which are always a fun twist. This style is called a Hinge Card and there was a technique challenge on splitcoaststampers that was on this style card.

I love the way that Stephanie colored her image and the way she did the fur on the puppy. This image is from the Strawberry Kisses Collection from Crafter's Companion and is called Gorgeous. Which is fitting because that is what this card is... Gorgeous!
Here is the "hinge" part of the card open so you can see the greeting.

Isn't that cool? If you want to learn more about either one of Stephanie's cards you can read her blog posts on them. Here are the links for the Humphrey Card and the Gorgeous Strawberry Kisses card. Stephanie also has a lot of other amazing projects too so be sure to browse around her blog, The Arty Carty Blog with Stephanie Lee.
I hope you all enjoyed today's shares. These two ladies both are amazingly talented and I hope you will visit their sites! A huge thank you to both Julia and Stephanie for allowing me to share their adorable creations with you as well!
I am off to pack a few orders up, add some new goodies that arrived into the store and then will hopefully have a chance to ink up some stamps and play around for a bit! Enjoy the rest of your day - Laura

Sweet Spring Pick Up!

Good morning everyone!

Hope your day is going well so far! I am just about ready to hit the sack after a long night at work! With the days getting a little warmer I have been in the mood to create some sweet spring & summer cards. I think the Loads of Love Set is super cute and thought a little flower truck would be cute so here is what I came up with:

Isn't that the cutest little pick up? I used a piece of the bashful blue retired hostess exclusive designer paper that I found in my stash to paper piece the pick up. You can use any designer series paper you want to match the theme of your card! That is what makes the paper piecing technique so fun on this little pick up! It is really easy to do just stamp the truck image image on whisper white. I then colored the tires, bumpers, and created the "dirt". Then I restamped the truck on the pattern paper and then cut it out and glued right over the top of the previous truck image. The oval I cut using my coluzzle. To make the chocolate chip oval I just cut the next coluzzle size up from the one around my truck then free hand cut it down so the layer wasn't as large and because I can't cut in a perfect oval.... I distressed the edge to hide the bumps :)

This color combination is also one from the Color Coach....
Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery & Chocolate Chip love these colors together!

Hope you have a great day! Thanks for taking a peak!

Here is what I used:

Stampin Up! Stamp Sets: Loads of Love

Paper: Stampin Up! Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Ink: Stampin Up! Classic ink pads in basic black, old olive, chocolate chip, basic gray, real red

Accessories: Stampin Up! blender pen, chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, finial press embossing folder, big shot, coluzzle, distressing tool

Check out my Punch Art HONEY BEE!

Good afternoon all!
I am SUPER excited to show you my card today! I designed a really cute HONEY BEE using Stampin Up! punches! I think it turned out adorable!

What do you think? Here are the punches I used to make the bee:

Head: 1 1/4" circle
Eyes: Boho Blossoms flower but between petals like a tear drop
Nose: Circle from Two Step Owl
Body: Ornament Punch with the little tab cut off
Wings: Two Step Bird Punch (the wings)
Legs & Arm: Swirls & Scribbles Die
Antennaes: The stem from Two Step Bird Punch
Hearts on Antennaes from the Two Step Owl Punch

For the wings I stamped the flourish from Priceless in versamark onto vellum cardstock then heat embossed with heat & stick powder then Dazzling Diamonds. After I did that then I punched them out. The "honeycomb" I made using the plastic from the top of a clementine box when you buy the oranges. This is my entry for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge week 177. Here is the sketch:

Hope you try a bee...they are super cute! If you do be sure and leave a message with your creation I would love to see it!

Stampin Up! Stamp Sets: Define Your Life, Just Buzzin' By, Priceless

Paper: Stampin Up! Crumb Cake, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Watercolor paper

Happy Bird-Day!

Hi Everyone!
Here is a super cute card that I made using the Two-Step Owl Punch & the Season of Friendship stamp set.

What I did was take the tree from the Season of friendship stamp set and stamped it horizontally so it looks like a tree branch! Then I popped my owl using dimensionals on the branch. I used the Scallop Oval punch to create wings on my owl! I just punched one and cut it in half. The folded wing I did by glueing the wing to the back of the owl, folding it forward and secured with a dimensional. The cute sentiment is from the stamp set Pun Fun! The little cupcake is from the Short & Sweet stamp set. Really quick & cute card! Have a great day all!

Stampin Up! Stamp Sets: Season of Friendship, Pun Fun, Short & Sweet

Paper: Stampin Up! Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Basic Black, DSP - Blueberry Crisp

Ink: Stampin Up! Classic ink pads in Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Old Olive

Accessories: Stampin Up! Two Step Owl Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large & Small oval punches, Scallop border punch, paper piercer set, white gel pen, dimensionals, sponges. Stampin write markers: daffodil delight, melon mambo, real red

Punch Art Lovin' Lion

Good morning everyone! I am still not feeling that great today so this will be a short but sweet post! I came across an awesome blog by a super talented designer named Kim Score. She creates amazing punch art using Stampin Up! punches. The card I am showing you today was inspired by one of the tutorials she offered called Lovin Lion. I did have to use a few different punches than she did because I didn't have all of them.....YET...LOL! Here is my card:

Here is what I used to make the Punch Art Lion for my card:

1 1/4" Circle in More Mustard - HEAD
3/4" Circle in More Mustard - EARS & PAWS
1/2" Circle in Daffodil Delight - EARS
Small Oval in Daffodil Delight - MUZZLE
Small heart from the Two-Step Owl punch in Pink Pirouette - NOSE
Extra Large Fancy Flower in Cajun Craze - MANE
Extra Large Two Step Bird in More Mustard - TAIL
Boho Blossoms smallest flower in Basic Black - EYES(punch flower then cut between each petal to middle)

I didn't use a body because mine is just a "peeker"

I also chose the colors for my card using my color coach. This is one of the suggested color combinations:

PACIFIC POINT , DAFFODIL DELIGHT & RICH RAZZLEBERRY

I think that this would make a super cute birthday card for a little boy! Have a great day all!

Supplies used:
Stampin Up! Stamp Sets: Short & Sweet

Paper: Stampin Up! Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry DSP paper in Blueberry Crisp

Accessories: Stampin Up! Stampin Up! punches: 1/4" circle, 3/4" circle, 1/2" circle, boho blossoms, extra large fancy flower, scallop oval, small oval, large oval, two step bird, owl punch, sponges, white gel pen, dimensionals, black pen
