Lolly and Her Brolly

Hey everyone. It is a new Thursday which means more inspiration from me... Shanna.

I wanted to play with a stamp that wasn't a Magnolia stamp. I feel lately I have been playing favorites too much and needed to share my love a little bit more.

So I colored up this Bella and mounted her to the card.

I finished the card with some Authentique papers and Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers.

Of course she was colored with copics on copic paper. Once day I hope to learn to truly watercolor.

I'll Toast to THAT!

Hi Stampers!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you had a safe and fun time last night. We stayed at home and watched movies. I made Austin and his friend John a "Mocktail" and Alicia, Tim and I tried a new drink called Liquid Skittles. It was ok, but I didn't have the right rum, so not sure if that would have made it a little better. It was really sweet and you could only drink one, which was fine because that was all we planned on having anyway ;)

Well, my home internet is working again (YAY!) hopefully it stays working for awhile! This week for The Cutting Cafe we had a Free Choice of what file we wanted to work with so I decided to combine my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe and my Inspiration Project for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge of New Year Resolutions. Here is what I came up with...

I used one of my FAVORITE New Year's Eve Printable Stamp Sets from The Cutting Cafe called Happy New Years. There are 23 images and sentiments in this set - including the two on the front of my Criss Cross Card. I LOVE the ..."Here's to another year of BAD HABITS!" sentiment! LOL! This is perfect for not only New Year's projects but you could even use it for Birthday's, Anniversaries...lots of fun things! This seems to sum up my "Resolutions" every year since I usually can only stick to them about 3 weeks if I am lucky ;)

I paired these fun sentiments with Opal the Optimist from my favorite Stamping Bella Line - Uptown Girls. I used memento tuxedo black ink to stamp her on crafter's companion ultra smooth white cardstock before coloring her up with copic markers. I also added some stickles to her dress and shoes. I added some rolled roses, which I also covered in stickles. The branches are from my Martha Stewart Branch Punch and the tab on my insert is created using the My Favorite Things Die-namics called Vintage Flourish. I added my super favorite flower trim that is actually from Stampin Up! along the bottom. I need more of this!

Here is a look at the insert pulled out...

And a Closer peek at the Resolutions list... :D

This Top Ten Resolutions list is also one of the images you get in the Happy New Years set from The Cutting Cafe!

Here is a close up of Ms. Opal.

If you remember yesterday I shared that one of the highlights of our Christmas was that I F-I-N-A-L-L-Y finished the afghan for my son, Austin, that I started 13 years ago when he was 3...here is a picture of him holding his afghan. This sucker is HUGE...Austin is 6'0 tall and as you can see this is plenty long enough! He totally loved it and said it was worth the 13 year wait....melt my heart :)

Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog this afternoon to see what files my fellow Design Team chose to use (always fun to see what everyone chooses on the free weeks!) PLUS Regina always draws a lucky winner from those who leave comments so be sure to do that as well!

We hope to see you play along in our New Year's Resolutions challenge at Loves Rubberstamps as well!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Winnie the Window Peeker

Hi Stampers!

I know I know it is Monday...but Monday's are awesome here on the blog because that is when we get to see a super cute Inspirational Project created by Olivia! Such a perfect way to start the week off! Take a look at this cutie...

This adorable image is called Winnie Peeking Out The Window and is from Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Collection. This is one of my FAVORITE stamp lines! They are sooo cute! What do you suppose Miss Winnie is thinking about? I think she is wondering where the heck the weekend went so fast! LOL!

I think Olivia did such a cute job paper piecing the curtains and the colors scheme is so pretty! This is a great stamp that you can use for many occasions! Love it!

If you haven't had a chance to get in on our Anything Goes challenge this week you still have a few hours left! Come show us what you have been working on! We will also be starting a Design Team Call as well so if you have wanted the chance to be a member of our amazing team...you will be getting the chance to apply! Look for Details on Tuesday!

Summer Days!

Hi Stampers!

Holy Buckets! I can't believe that July is here already! Seems like yesterday the cold, Iowa Winter was in full force! And before you tell me to hush it... Christmas will be here before you know it! That is my reminder for myself that I really need to make Christmas cards now so I can send more than 2 handmade cards this year - LOL!

But before we think about Christmas...let us focus on the gorgeous Summer weather :) Olivia created a super cute (as always!) Summer Inspired Card that is packed full of sunshine, cuteness and one of the best reliefs on hot Summer Days.... ICE CREAM!

How cute is this?? Olivia used the adorable Mo Manning Lacie with Ice Cream from Stamping Bella! I love how she made the panel look like a polaroid! The papers, colors and ticket are perfect! I love the way she added the word Summer along the bottom also!

Such a cute way to start the week off! Be sure to hop along in our Sensational Sunday Blog hop if you didn't get the chance yesterday! You have until Saturday to play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

Double Inspiration Today!

Hi Stampers!

Sorry I have been the world's cruddiest blogger this week! It has been a long, exhausting week between working overnights and then taking care of Grandma during the day. Leaves no time for anything except pure sleep deprivation, crankiness and no mojo!

So today for your Saturday Inspirations I am sharing Ceal's Thursday project and Holly's Friday project so you will get a double dose of late...but amazing ... inspirational pieces!

First up... Ceal's project from Thursday...

This super cute Spring feeling card is done using the Ramona and Her Wagon image from Stamping Bella. I think this line is so adorable :) I love the Spring colors and designer papers that Ceal chose!

We also have this total cutie patootie from Holly...

EEEK! How cute is this? This sweet image is from My Favorite Things and is called Springtime Wishes. We will be getting these in as soon as our supplier can keep them in stock long enough to order - LOL! They just fly off the shelves it seems like! Holly paired this with the Magnolia scenery stamp Tulip Walkway. Doesn't it go perfectly?  I love the papers Holly chose and the cute paper piecing! Turned out so adorable!

Both of these cards are super cute and fit in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Theme of Creating an Outdoor Scene. You still have a few days to play and this week we have TWO prizes that together would total up to $40.00 up for grabs! Come play along!

Have a great weekend everyone! I am hoping to sleep - LOL! Exciting plans...I know...but you would be surprised how excited you get for sleep when you don't have any for days :)

Take care & Happy Stampin!

Expectabella

Hi Stampers!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and had a chance to spend some time with family. We just had a small dinner - well not small - we had tons of food - but just a small gathering of our family and we brought Grandma over to eat dinner since she was feeling up to getting out and about :) I will share a few pictures of Grandma with you on my post tomorrow once I get them uploaded.

Today to start our week off we have the super talented Olivia sharing some inspiration with you today!

Olivia used the Expectabella stamp from Stamping Bella. I have to admit I was super bummed to see many of their designs from this line discounted quite a bit like the images are retiring - not all but quite a few. This is one of the very first lines that I started "collecting" when I discovered other stamping companies outside of Stampin' Up! - LOL. I have almost all the bellas in my personal collection and every time I would buy them when they would arrive I would giggle at the names. I would tell my husband all about the characters and the funny names and giggle and he looked at me like I had gone crazy - LOL! Oh well...only my fellow stamp addicts would understand :D

I really love how Olivia paper pieced part of her outfit and colored the rest with her copic markers! Olivia is the paper piecing master on our Design team! She always does it so perfectly! I love the layout that she chose and the gorgeous purples! Those pretty designer papers are from the Echo Park Springtime Collection. Super adorable!

Well I had better get some crafty things done so I can get working on the challenge post for tonight :) You still have a few hours left to play in our Easter Challenge so be sure and get those projects in!

Also in case you missed it yesterday...we changed the format of our Sensational Sunday Inspirations and are now doing it as a blog hop so you can see the projects in more detail and see how the Design Team members came up with their gorgeous projects! We have hidden a prize along the way so be sure to play along! you can start the Hop right here :)

Have a wonderful day!
Happy Stampin!

Now on to today's blast of inspiration from our talented Design Team! Here we go....

Wow! How fun and girly is this? I love the hot pink black together with the zebra print and pops of lime green! This would be perfect for teen girls! I know that these colors are my daughters favorites :) Athina did such an amazing job at coloring her image as usual! I also love the sheer ribbon accents and the layout style!
Simply too cute for words!

Paper Smooches 'A Magical Spring'
Paper Smooches 'Birthday Sampler'

HOLY ROSES BATMAN! Wow! Check out all of those gorgeous flowers! Lydia colored this cutie in perfect Spring Colors and she matches that gorgeous bouquet perfectly! I love all the details that Lydia added and that key is so cute!

My Minds Eye - Lost & Found - Market Street Princes

This is so adorable! I wish I could do pleats as well as Ivonne does :) Her coloring is stunning and she did such a beautiful job coloring her image to match her papers and those beautiful butterflies! This just screams Spring and warmer weather! Such a gorgeos job!

Echo Park paper called Love Story

This little scene is so amazing! I have always been a huge fan of Shanna's coloring and this is just too cute!!The grass and sky look amazing! Those flowers are gorgeous too and add the perfect touch! Beautiful job!

This is such a cheery card with the bright, summery colors! This image is so sweet and Marcy colored her perfectly! I love this layout and the accents that Marcy chose! Total sweetness!

I also had a chance to play in my stamp room today for a little bit. I got some Design Team projects done and then decided to play along in a few challenges for a little fun :)

Laura Love

I have been wanting to make one of these Tea Bag Dispensers for quite awhile. I saw that Tiddly Inks was having an Anything But a Card challenge so I grabbed one of my FAVORITE images... Alice from Stamping Bella and created one. I really love the Curio papers from Basic Grey and because I drink a lot of Green Tea, I wanted my box to kind of match. I chose some papers that kind of reminded me of a tranquil garden since tea is suppose dto be relaxing :) I paper pieced the outfit and the butterfly accent is one that I bought from a lady that makes them on Etsy. I really LOVE how it turned out :)   Here are a few more views...

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win some blog candy and if you can visit each of the Designers Blogs and read about how they created their amazing projects! Have a great day!

Bad Hair Day...

Good afternoon stampers!

Hope your Monday is going well so far :) I have my weight watchers meeting tonight and I haven't been the greatest at tracking this week or working out (1 time this whole week - LOL) so the thought of weighing in makes me nervous. I am still trying to work off my extra pounds I gained back after the holidays...grrr! Only a couple more to go before I am back to where I was at before Christmas - LOL! Darn holiday goodies anyway!

I am addicted to Pinterest and I LOVE the hilarious little posters that you come across on there. Here are a few that I found that fit my Mondays so perfectly since that is my weight watchers weigh in days...

And of course this one which is so true...LOL

LOL - Cracks me up! Usually I am happy with ANYTHING even staying the same as long as I don't gain anything back! Sometimes that is a feat in and of itself - LOL!

Ok...now onto the absolute BEST part of Monday! Olivia's Inspirational project! It is soooo adorable as always :)

This little cutie just cracks me up! This is Angelina by Mo Manning. Olivia did a beautiful job coloring her up! I love the button accents and this fun layout! Such a cute and fun card that you could use for so many occasions!

This image reminds me of when I was in 5th grade and our class went to the science center for a field trip. I had super long hair, down to my waist and they had this static electricity ball. They needed a volunteer to stick their hands on it and the class chose me because my hair was the longest. Well it worked and there is nothing funnier than seeing about 24" long hair standing literally straight up all over like a huge porcupine head. LOL!

You still have a few hours left to play in our Cute as a Button Challenge this week where there is an AWESOME prize from The Paper Shelter up for grans as well as a gift certificate to our store! You will want to play along if you can...just have some buttons on your project like Olivia did!

Also be sure to check out the Sensational Sundays Post and leave your comment to make it in this week's blog candy give-away!  I got it up really late so I apologize for that!
Have a great day all!

Happy Stampin!

Sensational Sunday Inspirations + Blog Candy

Hi Stampers!

Welcome to our Sensational Sunday Inspirations post!

Hope you are all had a safe and fun New Year! We spent ours at home playing silly games with the kids and had a total blast :)  There is no where I would rather spend New Year's then home with family.

Earlier this week we did receive some sad news. We unfortunately have to say good-bye to Design team member Kelli Hull. She had some schedule changes coming up that didn't allow her enough crafty time to stay on the team. We will miss her but I know we will see her around in blog land and of course on splitcoaststampers since she is now a Dirty Girl! YAY Kelli!! We wish Kelli all the best with all that she does and want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the inspiration, laughs and good times :)

Now on to today's blast of inspiration from our talented Design Team! Here we go....

Shanna Shands

Shanna used one of my favorite color combinations for winter cards on this super cute card! I love the deep rich reds, and the soft blue combination! Shanna always amazes me with her gorgeous coloring and this is no exception! I love everything about this...the bling, those gorgeous flowers, the sparkle snowflakes, and the lay out! Such a beautiful design!

Dangina Martinez

Ok, now seriously...who would want to read a book just to open it up to see this out-of-this-world adorable bookmark? EVERYONE!!! This is so super cute! Dangina also has mad coloring skills that I adore! I love the paper piecing on the dress and check out that little bird paper in the background too! This is such a cute little scene! ♥ ♥ ♥ it!

Athina Emory
My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Collection

This is absolutely gorgeous! Athina created this gorgeous book called a  Multi Pocket Envelope Album. This is chock full of gorgeous pockets and beautiful tags! I think I would spend hours looking and re-looking through this because it is such a stunning creation! You definitely need to visit Athina's Blog to see the rest of these gorgeous pages and she also provides a link to where she got the tutorial on making one of these! What a beautiful keepsake!

Marcy Dangcil

Marcy created this super sweet altered box to hold some yummy Valentine's Day treats! What an adorable way to give some extra sweetness with your Valentine's Day Gift! I love the girly trims and all the details that Marcy added to this little wooden box. The coloring on this image is so pretty too! What an adorable treasure for some lucky little lady!

Lydia Walker

Now I just have to say that Lydia is a pure genius with this project! She created a sweet little gift that doubles as a gorgeous embellishment for her card! Yep Yep - Pure genius!! The first picture shows that gorgeous flower doing it's job...embellishing that cute cute card. In the second picture you will notice the flower removed and the card is STILL super adorable! Then the last picture shows the gorgeous flower on it's own...but the genius part is that this is a handmade hair clip that Lydia made!! It accents the card perfectly and then you just unclip it, stick it in your hair, and off you go all stylin'! See...pure genius!!

Wow! Wow! And TRIPLE WOW! The ladies really rocked the inspiration out today! I am so amazed at the talent and the gorgeous-ness that these ladies produce each and every week! I literally squeal with excitement everytime I see their projects for the first time - LOL! Makes everyday like Christmas :)

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration from the team! Be sure to leave them some love and you will automatically be entered into the drawing for this week's blog candy :)

Those double ribbons add the perfect touch! This would be an awesome Valentine's Day project...which will be here before you know it!

Shanna Shands
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain

I think this card is absolutely gorgeous! Shanna does such an amazing job coloring her images yo! I love how she created a frame for this adorable Magnolia image, Browns and Blues are one of my favorite color combos for Winter cards! I love this lay out and the accents are PERFECT! Gorgeous job!

Wow! I am just blown away each week by these amazing ladies! Their talent is just incredible! I apologize that this was late in getting posted today! Hopefully this week things here will get back to normal as long as we have no more blizzards! Now that my husband bought his snow plow blade and new snowblower... we will never have snow again in Iowa! YAY! Now THAT would not hurt my feelings any - LOL!

Have a wonderful day and if you are traveling drive safe!
Happy Stampin!
