Happy Birthday!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  It's Marcy here to share some inspiration for today.  I hope everyone has had a great week.  I still can't believe we're already into December, can you?!! Well along with Christmas cards, I do have quite a lot of birthdays in the next few months which I need to make cards for.  So for today, I decided to make a birthday card.

And here it is...

So this is my first time coloring up a Penny Black image and I had so much fun.  The stamp set I used is called Sweet Thing.  I colored up this cute gal with my copic markers and then added some white gel pen to the sprinkles on her cupcake as well as some Wink of Stella to the frosting and parts of her outfit.  I cut her out using some stitched circles and added some sequins for some extra sparkle.  The fun papers I used are from an American Crafts collection called "Lucky Charm".

Here are the Supplies Used:
Sweet Thing - Penny Black
Lucky Charm - American Crafts
Sentiment (Happy Birthday) - Doodlebug Designs
Black Tuxedo - Memento

Make sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all of the adorable Penny Black collections.  They are all so adorable!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy

Be My Valentine - Friday Inspiration with Athina

Hello there!

It is Athina back with another Friday Inspiration.  Before we get any further, I want to wish all that celebrate a Happy Valentine's Day!  Grab a loved one or friend and give them an extra squeeze and let them know how important they are to you!  That is my inspiration for today.

Inside this little box are some chocolates that I plan to share with a friend.  The box was cut out from the Silhouette and the closure on the top is nesting hearts.  The papers around the box are by Echo Park - Love Story collection.  After I stuffed the box full of chocolates, I added some tulle to close the box.

Then I had some fun with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  It has been a while since I have played with them, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.  I have used Spun Sugar, Weathered Wood, Aged Mahogany and Worn Lipstick.  I stamped in the background with Penny Black - Love Chapter images, but they are slightly hard to see in the picture.  After I was happy with the outcome of the background, I added the C. C. Designs - Be Happy Sentiment to the tag.  It is finished off with some Wild Orchid flowers, lace and dew drops.  By the way - have you seen all the fun new Wild Orchid Flowers Laura has added to the store?  They are absolutely beautiful!

Here is the finished product all together!

I feel like I have babbled quite a bit today, but I was really happy with how this turned out and couldn't wait to share it with you!

Remember, this week we have our Paper Piecing Challenge going until Monday, come and join the fun!  Also be sure to stop by the store to see all the fun new items Laura has been adding.

That is it for me!  I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day and a great weekend!
Hugs

Fly By Thursday

Happy Thursday Friends and Stampers!

I hope your week is going well and that are getting ready for the festivities next week.  It's starting to feel fallish here in California now, so I am really enjoying the this change of weather.  Although I have been sick for a few days, it's nice to just hang out at home and rest and think about next week.

Ceal has made us a very pretty card for her inspiration day.

She used: Penny Black (Butterfly Symphony), Copic sketch markers,.

I just love that beautiful butterfly and the colors she used against the kraft background, so fabulous.

Have you had a chance to play in our Challenge this week?  It's all Shabby Chic and Vintage, so fun.  I can't wait to see what everyone has made and I will be around to take a look at your blogs.  Have you see the New Items in the store?  I'm so excited about the cute new stamps!!!

I hope your week goes by fast so you can enjoy the weekend!

Butterfly Symphony

Hi Stampers -

Sorry for the late post this evening, we were gone this evening to visit my Aunt who is back from California until Saturday :)

Before I share Ceal's beautiful card with you today I want to share a special going on at Crafty Sentiments Designs that is too awesome NOT to share with you :)

See what I mean?!?!? Loads of cute stuff! Now on to Ceal's beautiful card...

This beautiful card is created with the Penny Black Butterfly Symphony. I love the colors that Ceal chose and the splatters are awesome! She also used Copic Sketch Markers and Distress Re-Inkers to create this. I love the pastel purples and the teal together! Such a neat card!

Be sure to check out my Crafty Sentiments Designs sneak peek of the new Me and My Dragon release! It is such a cute image!

Thanks for stopping by!
