Sensational Sunday Inspirations

Good Morning Stampers!

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly drawing for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher! We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month from all the comments left on the design team blogs! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments!

So sorry for the lateness of my post! I am a horrible blogger today! I stayed up after work yesterday morning and worked for 8 hours getting packages shipped. We have had an AMAZING last 3 weeks with tons of orders coming in. It did make me fall a little behind due to the volume of orders but I will take that over bad news reasons :) I have another good solid day of packing and then will be caught back up. I plan on doing a lot of packing again today.

I wanted to remind you that we have a few more days to try out for our Design Team term that starts May 1st and runs through August 30th. We will have the details on how to apply for the team here on this post. You do not need prior design team experience to apply. We would love to have you try out!

With my crazy busy week this week I didn't get to have any crafty time this week again so we will have a throwback project from one of our super talented Design Team Members... Rebecca Billard... take a look at this GORGEOUS stunner...

How beautiful is this?!?!?! Rebecca created this for one of our Loves Rubberstamps Challenges and I just LOVE it! All the details and die cuts are amazing! I love how the leaves, flowers and the butterflies pop out and make a really full, stunning bouquet. I have never tried this style of project but I have it on my long list of ones to try. I will be adding a bunch of new JustRite stamps and dies to our store very soon too! They have some gorgeous new stamps that were released recently :)

Here are the items Rebecca used:

Seeds of Summer

Hi Stampers!

Well, I have been super late the last 3 days! I am sorry about that! I need to remember that my night shifter schedule is opposite of most everyone else's LOL! I will try to do a better job at pre-scheduling posts.
So without further ado...here is our Saturday Stunner from Jacqueline!

Wow! Jacqueline always does the coolest looking techniques and effects on her backgrounds and images to make her cards really pop! This card uses the stamp set Seeds of Summer from JustRite Papercrafts. I do have some new JustRite stamps in and will be listing them as soon as I can.  I think the colors of this and all of the different leaves and textures are just so beautiful! The ribbon is such a pretty color and I love the scroll with the sentiment as the focal point! This turned out really beautiful!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Remember we have our Sensational Sunday Post tomorrow where we will be having some blog candy and some gorgeous eye candy for you!

Thanks for stopping by!

OOOOH LA LAAAAA!

Hi Stampers!

How is your weekend going so far? Mine is flying by much faster than I am getting things done...grrrr! Sometimes you just need more hours in a day! I have asked for a few days off from my other job next week so I hope that they get approved and I can have about a solid week of being able to focus on the store, and getting some organization done - LOL! We will see about THAT! Even when I get things organized, it lasts all of about 5 minutes and then it looks like a tornado went through again - LOL!

Today we get to continue on Jacqueline's travel adventures by visiting Paris through her card :) She did a stunning background technique that I am going to have to try after seeing her beautiful card!

I blew it up large so you can see more of the details in her technique :) For this project she used the JustRite Background stamp Paris which she stamped on acetate using black stazon ink. She added some glitter that she tinted with Tim Holtz alcohol ink in Watermelon. Such a pretty pink!

To create that awesome effect with the Eiffel Tower Die...she used silver mirrored paper (I am gonna NEED some of this stuff!) that she also tinted before running it through a Tim Holtz embossing folder called Postal Set. She then cut it out using the La La Land Eiffel Tower Die. This looks amazing! Can you image how prettier this is in person when you can see all the shine, and glittery bling?

I think Jacqueline's project is gorgeous and if you want to read all the details and tips she has on creating this...please visit her blog post.

I better get back to getting supper dishes down...yuck - hate doing dishes - LOL - or just any house work really :D

Have a great weekend! Be sure to visit tomorrow for our Sensational Sundays Inspirational Post! The Sunday Designers always do such a gorgeous job! Plus there is blog candy too :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Next Stop....London!

Hi Stampers!

Hope that your weekend is going well so far! This is my "Friday" at work so I am excited about that! Then I have 4 days off! YAY! I can work in the store and get some crafty stuff in :)

Today we have our weekly Saturday Stunner from Jacqueline Smith! She always has projects that are like mini works of art with the different textures and layers that she does. They are so fun to see!

If you remember last week Jacqueline graced us with a beautiful Paris themed creation that she created as a memento for her trip that she got to take with her son (lucky her!) Well she is continuing her mementos with this London themed project which she also got to visit!

The first things that just grabbed my attention was that stunning looking background! The colors are gorgeous! Jacqueline used a technique called Simple Batik to create it. The image she used is the London Background stamp from JustRite Papercrafts. We will be getting more from this line, including this stunning stamp, this week or early the following week. I think this technique is absolutely gorgeous with this image and Jacqueline chose the prettiest colors.

That beautiful London Telephone Booth is from the JustRite stamp set called London Greetings which Jacqueline stamped in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring with her prismacolor pencils. She does such a gorgeous job coloring with those, it always makes me want to dust mine off and practice my coloring! Looks so pretty!

If you haven't had a chance to play in our challenge this week, you still have a few days.. and it is Anything Goes so it is a fun one! Also be sure to get your comment in on the Sensational Sunday Inspirations post because tomorrow we draw our candy winner and you don't want to miss your chance!

Have a great weekend all!

An Elegant Thank You

Hi Stampers!

Hope your weekend is going great so far! I am hoping to get some crafting done today and get ahead on my design team projects for the first time ever - LOL! Usually I am making things a few days before they are do because I don't get very much time to make things which is a bummer! So I am hoping I don't have one of those days where everything I make is a disaster - LOL!

Isn't this gorgeous? Jacqueline used the Lace Background Stamp and also the Lace Medallions from JustRite Papercrafts to create this masterpiece. The colors and the layers are just beautiful! I love that gorgeous bow and beads that Jacqueline added also! This is such a classy and elegant way to send a thank you to someone special!

If you haven't done so yet be sure to leave your comment on this week's Sensational Sunday's Post so you can be in the drawing for this week's blog candy giveaway! We will be drawing for  the winner tomorrow!

Dryer Sheet Flower

Hi Stampers!

It's Tuesday which means a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge! I have to say WOW! Last week we had 133 entries! How awesome!! It was so fun going and visiting each of the entries because we have so many talented players joining us. This week we are to use either Dies or punchies somewhere on your project. I used both on mine :)

For the card base I used a Stampin Up! Heart Border embossing folder and embossed it in sections to cover the front. My popped up white layer is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder that features a bird and some leaves. I embossed the bird a second time and cut it out to pop it up on a dimensional. I had to improvise and add a "wing" because I accidently got some blue ink on his white body that I had on my finger from dying my flower. I suppose it was fate since the blue I used is the Peacock Feathers Distress Ink by Tim Holtz- LOL! Maybe he thought he was a peacock! Soooo to create his little wing I used the smallest petal from the Stampin Up! Blossom Builder Punch :) Before popping this white layer on dimensionals I punched the edges using the heart border and heart border corner punches from Stampin Up!.

My sentiment is stamped with my new stamp set Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves from JustRite Papercrafts. I love the script on this set!

Now.... My flower is made from a used dryer sheet! I had seen this tutorial on splitcoaststampers quite awhile ago and had tucked this away in my "things I must try" file in my brain and so here it is...My very first dryer sheet flower! I actually LOVE how this turned out! Here is how I created mine...

I made two layers of each size circle that I used. The sizes of these are: 3", 2 1/2", 1 7/8", and 1 1/4". After cutting them out of my dryer sheet I just took my Distress Ink Pad and laid a circle on top and then smooshed it down with my ink blending tool. Then I laid it out to dry. I cheated a bit and heated up my heat tool and blew some hot air on them just a tad because I didn't want them to burn or melt.  I then added ice stickles around the edge of the top circle for each sized layer. After they were dry I just stacked them on top of each other and finished with a pearl brad and added little half pearls around it for the center.

I mounted my flower on top of a couple of flourishes I cut out of green glitter paper using My Favorite Things Fancy Flourish Die-Namics Die.

Here is a closer look of my Dryer Sheet Flower...

I hope you like it! I will definitely be making more of these as I do laundry about everyday - UGH - LOL! At least I will have something fun about laundry now! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week! Have a great day!

Happy Stampin'

Hot Cocoa Kind of Day!

Happy Saturday Stampers!

I have got over my nasty bug flu that I had last week and am now battling an awful cold - LOL! UGH! I sound like a man and my nose is really stuffy. I will be loading up on the "quils" this weekend as I work on getting some new stuff listed in the store. Day-Quil & Ny-Quil will be my best friends :)

When I saw Jacqueline's card today it made me want some yummy Hot Cocoa :) One thing that I love to do when it is super cold out or I need something hot and yummy is put a packet of Hot Cocoa in my cup of coffee! It makes a homemade mocha :) Do any of you do that or make any of your own homemade coffee or hot chocolate mixes? I want to try and make some homemade cocoa mix one of these days. I have gotten some as gifts before but have never made any of my own. I just downloaded an e-book on my kindle fire that was all about making the jar gifts and had loads of recipes. I plan on trying some out :)

Take a look at Jacqueline's card and you will see why I must now have some Hot Chocolate :)

Jacqueline used the beautiful Marshmallow Mug from Impression Obsession. I love this image and have owned it for many years, in fact it was my very first Impression Obsession stamp that I ever bought along with their Espresso stamp. See I have always had a thing for hot cocoa and coffee - LOL! If you have never added a cocoa packet to your coffee you really must try it :)

Jacqueline's cards are always full of many different layers and textures which I love! The colors that she chose are perfect for the season. The warm browns and blues are so pretty. That beautiful sentiment is from JustRite Stamps and is called Christmas Vintage Layers One. You really need to visit Jacqueline's Blog Post to read all about how she created this gorgeous card. She gives details about how she creates each lovely layer :)

Tomorrow we will have our Sensational Sunday Inspirations so if you haven't left your comment for last week's there is still time. Remember we draw one lucky commenter and they will win a gift voucher for the store!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Walkin In A Winter Wonderland...

Happy Saturday Stampers!

It is GORGEOUS out here in the midwest today! It is about 80 degrees with just a slight breeze. Makes a beautiful day for getting outside and enjoy the colors of changing leaves and the pretty Fall scenery! I may have to go on a bike ride later :) Actually I NEED to go on a bike ride because I need to earn at least 5 activity points for weight watchers before my Monday weigh in because I am at -5 for my extra points this week! OOPS ;-o

For today's card we get to see one of Jacqueline's GORGEOUS creations! She has been really blowing our socks off with her beautiful Christmas cards and today is no exception!

I love those gorgeous blues along with those white snowflakes. Jacqueline used some new release Christmas stamps from JustRite Papercraft called Christmas Vintage Labels One and the Snowfall Background. We have just added JustRite products to our store! We got a small shipment in to start of some Fall and Thanksgiving themed stamps and will be adding these Christmas sets soon! I will actually be adding them as preorders this weekend along with any compatible Spellbinders or the JustRite Custom Dies that match! So be sure to check them out :)

The thing that I most admire about Jacqueline's work is that she puts in so much detail into each of her layers! I swear that everytime I look at her creation I find something new I missed the first time, and that is what makes seeing her work so much fun! Love it! You will have to visit Jacqueline's Blog to get the full details on this beauty!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great (and safe) weekend!
