Go Brown!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

How is everyone surviving the hussle and bussle of the Holly-Day season?  I'm not faring so well, lol.  It seems like it's one thing after another and there is not enough hours, money, or energy left, lol.   Thankfully, I did most of my shopping on Amazon and Brown should be delivering my things any day now, whewwww.

Ceal's fabulous inspiration card is right up my alley!  And so timely too.  lol.   I love the sentiment and the fabulous dp and design.

I hope you have had a chance to play in our Challenge this week!  Anything Goes with a Christmas theme.   We also have a Design Team Call and there is still time to get your entree's in.   Don't forget to check out the NEW ITEMS in the store!

Love You Dearly

Hi Stampers!

Hope are all having a great week so far! Mine has been better. I was feeling pretty cruddy yesterday with stomach issues. I am feeling a bit better today so that is good.

Today we have a lovely change of pace from Halloween projects for you from Ceal.

This would be a cute project for many different occasions! Ceal used the Paper Smooches Pretty Phrases stamp set. We will be adding many new Paper Smooches sets hopefully soon! Ceal paired this with the Impression Obsession Paper Cone Die. I will also be adding many Impression Obsession Stamps and their dies as preorders as well. I think this little bouquet of hearts is so sweet!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you have any crafting time this week...be sure to play along in our Anything Goes Challenge!

Have a great day!

Espresso Shaker

Hi Stampers!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! Mine will be a busy one. I have a special family get together today and then races with the hubby. Then tomorrow I have to work 2 shifts at my other job - 7am - 3pm and then 11pm - 7 am. Sounds like fun don't it? I can think of much funner stuff to do than that!

Here is my Inspiration Project for you today. I saw that Impression Obsession was having a challenge of creating a shaker card and I have never made one so I thought what the hay, I will try one out! Plus that gave me an excuse to get one of my favorite stamps...Espresso inky!

For my shaker stuff, I used doodlebug glitter and made some heart punchies. For the acetate I recycled some embossing folder packaging I had and used that for the clear section. Probably not the best idea because my glitter sticks to it in some spots with the static but that is all I had and I didn't want to wait to make this - LOL! My sentiment is also from Impression Obsession also.

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #300 for my layout.

If you have a chance to get inky this weekend be sure to add your project to our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week...it is Anything Goes and we would love to see your creations!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend - Laura

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Impression Obsession - What's Shakin' Challenge
Mojo Monday - Sketch #300

Sensational Sunday Inspirations + Blog Candy!

Hi Stampers!

Are you ready for some gorgeous inspiration today? I sure am! I have to make sure to make it to my craft room later today after I wake up and bust out some projects so today's blast of inspiration should do me some good! But first I will need to get a few hours of sleep...I stayed up posting lots of new stuff last night and I am not even done yet! I got on quite a few new MFT A La Modes, Die-Namics and just a few sentiment sets. I still have more MFT to add - more Sentiments and some PI stamps. Then I have some La La Land, Magnolia Stamps & Dies,  and I have just got some TIM HOLTZ stamps and some Dies in, so look for those soon too. I have some crafty essentials and some other fun stuff in waiting too :) We have new stuff coming about every other day so I will pretty much be listing new stuff on a daily basis most of the time. Sometimes it will be just a few things, other times more :) The best and easiest way to quickly see the new stuff is by checking the New Items section.

Now onto some more fun stuff...LOL!

Wow! Check out this SNOW!

Hi Stampers!

Hope your Saturday is going well! I had to work at my other job today for awhile and then was trying to organize some things so I can get a bunch of new arrival stuff listed! There is a LOT so be prepared - LOL! I will be trying to list some new stuff each day. I have been working on expanding some categories of things we offer so I have been getting in more accessories, and embellishments and those things in to get a better variety of those type items. BUT... before I can list them I have to  build the categories in the store so it is taking a little longer initially...but once they are built then I can get stuff in quicker! Super super excited for all that is coming...so keep an eye out on the new arrival section in the store that is the easiest way to see what has been added since your last visit :)

Today is Jacqueline's Day to share some inspiration with you! I like to call these the Saturday Stunners  because that is EXACTLY what her projects are...

I wanted to make this picture nice and big so you can really see those GORGEOUS pine branches with the snow effect! Doesn't that look REAL?? I LOVE it! I am super excited too because Jacqueline created this using a Uchida Snow Marker and I had ordered some of them for the store along with my trusty Liquid Applique that I use for snow texture too. So look for these real soon!

That gorgeous Angel Ornament is from Impression Obsession! Jacqueline did such a beautiful job coloring this and adding all that glitter for bling! I bet that this is STUNNING in person! See why I like to call these Saturday Stunners?

Well I better go get busy listing some more new stuff...have a great night all! If you haven't left your comment this week on the sensational Sunday Inspirations post...you better do it quick because tomorrow we will draw the winner for this week!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin!

Mug O' Yummy Marshmallows

Hi Stampers!

Today is Inspiration Day at The Cutting Cafe! This week we were using the super fun, new file called Winter Bingo Cards. I loved this set because it comes with Bingo Cards in 3 different sizes and in both colored and non-colored versions. The colors in this set are really pretty too! I have to admit that my project is totally not what I had in mind originally when I was planning it. It kind of took on a life of it's own - LOL!

I wanted to use one of the Bingo Cards for a background panel so I ended up choosing the colored large version of the Brr Brr Brr titled card. This is a really pretty gray and blue colored so that is what I paired it with for my cardstock and paper choices. In order to make it work for my layer piece I trimmed the last two Bingo lines off. I sponged the edges and then used my paper piercer. My designer papers are from an Echo Park paper pack called Winter Wishes.

This mug of cocoa is one of my favorite images from Impression Obsession called Marshmallow Mug. My sentiment is from them too. I colored the mug using Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers. I added dazzling diamonds to the snowman and liquid applique to the marshmallows and the snowman's fur trim. I did the liquid applique in two stages. First, I did the marshmallows because I wanted my applique to start to burn a little because it makes a nice toasty look :) I also accented the mug with white doodle dots and pearls.

Here is a close up so you can see the texture on the mug.

After I finished my basic card I thought it looked naked still so I decided to dress it up with doodle dots to give the layers some pop. Sometimes doodle dots make everything better :)

For my card layout I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch #271...

I was also inspired by this week's Can You Digi It Challenge Photo:

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to visit The Cutting Cafe Blog later this afternoon to see how all of the Design team used this awesome file :)

Happy Stampin!

Hot Cocoa Kind of Day!

Happy Saturday Stampers!

I have got over my nasty bug flu that I had last week and am now battling an awful cold - LOL! UGH! I sound like a man and my nose is really stuffy. I will be loading up on the "quils" this weekend as I work on getting some new stuff listed in the store. Day-Quil & Ny-Quil will be my best friends :)

When I saw Jacqueline's card today it made me want some yummy Hot Cocoa :) One thing that I love to do when it is super cold out or I need something hot and yummy is put a packet of Hot Cocoa in my cup of coffee! It makes a homemade mocha :) Do any of you do that or make any of your own homemade coffee or hot chocolate mixes? I want to try and make some homemade cocoa mix one of these days. I have gotten some as gifts before but have never made any of my own. I just downloaded an e-book on my kindle fire that was all about making the jar gifts and had loads of recipes. I plan on trying some out :)

Take a look at Jacqueline's card and you will see why I must now have some Hot Chocolate :)

Jacqueline used the beautiful Marshmallow Mug from Impression Obsession. I love this image and have owned it for many years, in fact it was my very first Impression Obsession stamp that I ever bought along with their Espresso stamp. See I have always had a thing for hot cocoa and coffee - LOL! If you have never added a cocoa packet to your coffee you really must try it :)

Jacqueline's cards are always full of many different layers and textures which I love! The colors that she chose are perfect for the season. The warm browns and blues are so pretty. That beautiful sentiment is from JustRite Stamps and is called Christmas Vintage Layers One. You really need to visit Jacqueline's Blog Post to read all about how she created this gorgeous card. She gives details about how she creates each lovely layer :)

Tomorrow we will have our Sensational Sunday Inspirations so if you haven't left your comment for last week's there is still time. Remember we draw one lucky commenter and they will win a gift voucher for the store!

Have a great weekend everyone!
