I hope all of you in the U.S. had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our entire family, except Austin had to work. My husband and I both had to work 12 hour shifts and our daughter worked 3pm - 1am. My son asked me yesterday.... "Mom...are we REALLY not going anywhere for Thanksgiving?" and I said no. Austin's favorite food on the planet is Pumpkin Pie which we only have on Thanksgiving (I don't know why we don't have it more!) so he is super bummed because he thinks he won't get his pumpkin pie coma! I plan on making a small "Thanksgiving" dinner just for us tonight...complete with turkey and pumpkin pie so he will be thrilled to get his pie - LOL!

Have you been busy doing some Christmas Shopping? I worked on Black Friday and am not a store shopper on this day....so I took advantage of some online deals and got the majority of my shopping done. Thanks!

Happy Saturday all!  It's Marcy here and I have a quick fun card I made for today's inspiration.
First of all, I hope for those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, that you had a fun and special holiday!

Here is the card I made for today...

I thought a Thank You card was perfect considering the Thanksgiving holiday we just had.  For my fun and simple card, I used the Contemporary Roses stamp set and Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.   You don't really have to do much because this coordinating set is just so easy to use and the designs are so pretty.  I also made my own background using the BG Gingham Backround stamp also from MFT.  This was stamped on some kraft cardstock which gives it a more muted look and I really like the way it looks!  I really love making my own backgrounds these days and MFT's background stamps are fantastic! I have just a few but want to get more...so much fun!:)  My background images were stamped with some colorful inks from my stash.  I finished off my card scattering some sequins for added embellishment and tying some twine as always.  The "Thanks" sentiment also comes with this fun stamp set.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Contemporary Roses Die-Namics - My Favorite Things
Contemporary Roses Stamp Set - My Favorite Things
BG Gingham Backround stamp - My Favorite Things
Black Tuxedo - Memento

Make sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all of the fantastic background sets, clear stamps and Die-Namics from MFT.  There are always new sets coming in all the time!

Enjoy  your Saturday and we'll see you tomorrow for a new "Sensational Sunday" Blog hop!

Hugs,
Marcy

I Just Can't Thank You Enough!

Happy Saturday Friends!!!  It's  Marcy back with another Saturday Inspiration Day for you all!  Since the Thanksgiving holiday is coming up this week, I wanted to make a "Thankful" card for today.

Here is my card...

I just love this cute image called Luka with Pumpkin by La La Land Crafts.  I colored him up with my copic markers and then added some of my Wink of Stella pen in clear glitter to his pumpkin. The fun festive papers are called Apple Cider by Bo Bunny.  These papers are so pretty and perfect for a Fall theme! I also added some Wild Orchid Craft flowers for some pretty embellishment along with some brown twine.  The sentiment is from an MFT stamp set called Polka Dot Greetings. I embossed it onto a handmade banner using some Black Sparkle embossing powder.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Luka with Pumpkin - La La Land Crafts
Apple Cider - Bo Bunny
Pumice Stone - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo - Memento
Polka Dot Greetings - My Favorite Things
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
VersaMark Ink - Tsukineko
Black Sparkle Embossing Powder  - Ranger

Make sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all of the adorable La La Land Crafts stamp sets.  Also, we have a new Sensational Sunday Blog hop tomorrow so be sure to visit again.

Happy Camper

Hi Friends and Family,

Are we getting ready for Thanksgiving here in the States?  I know we are!  The Holly-Days are upon us and we have much to be Thankful for this year.  In the spirit of Cubscout Camping, I have made a Camping card for your Inspiration today.

I love these backgrounds!  So easy to use and it's fun to create your own background papers.  Love the new tent and camper and all the adorable matchy stamps and dies to go with them.  I am going to be using these again and again with all the cubscout camping trips.  If you had a summer camping trip, these would be so perfect for your scrap pages.

Don't forget you have til tonight to play in our Challenge!  And tomorrow starts a new Challenge!

Thanks for Looking in on Us.

Holly

PSST - Have you seen the New Items in the Store?  Or the new look of the store?  OMG, I love it.  Every time I push the "Home" link on the left, a whole new crop of products comes up in the store.  I literally sat here while creating cards and push that link at least 50 times, lol.   I love seeing all the goodies in the store come up randomly like that, makes me feel so creative all over again and there are stamps I forgot I have and stamps I forgot I wanted to have, lol.

Wherever You Go

Good morning to you all in blogland.

Shanna here to share a fabulous card to share with you today. So today yes this is a sparkle card. It is so hard to not use this Sparkle MFT stamp set over and over.

I embossed paper with gold detail and just really made a bang. I am sure looking at this now it would have been easier to just buy some gold glitter paper. I did use a lot of embossing powder but I love the outcome.

You're the Coolest

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I was feeling pretty spoiled yesterday when I made this card and watched the football game at the same time, lol.   Love my new HDL monitor screen.   So during replays and commercials, over to the big shot I went.

It's my turn to show you some inspiration today.  I love these mason jar dies Laura has in her store, Loves Rubberstamps.  All the Die-Namics made my card so easy to do.

I used Vellum for my Mason Jar Cup and then distressed the ends with Tumbled glass so it wouldn't get lost on the paper, lol.  I also inked up the sentiment with Tumbled Glass and cut out a vellum die cut to cover it.  I also cut the ice cubs in vellum and inked them up with Tumbled Glass.  This was a lot of fun to make.  I thought about adding some brads, but I like it just the way it is.

I hope you all have a great week!  Don't forget today is the last day to get in our Anything Goes Challenge and tomorrow we have a new Challenge.   And you have all week to comment on the Sunday Blog Hop for a chance to win a prize.

Thanks for Looking in on Us.

Sensational Sunday Inspirations - Watercolor Distress

Now onto my project that I created for you today :) When I went to my craft room I had a project in mind that I had planned out and was prepared to create .... until I sat down....then I was like...ehhhh...I don't feel like doing that. LOL! Do you ever do that?

Last night while at work, once we slowed down, I started watching a few you-tube videos about watercoloring with Distress Inks and thought you know what...I want to try that! I have the whole set of distress ink markers and had yet to really use them, outside of one or two here or there. So that is what I ended up doing for my project! I just decided to try something new for me (both watercoloring in general and using distress inks for more than just sponging backgrounds) and I just had some fun!

For my card I was totally inspired by a video I watched done by K Werner Design. Here is a link to the video.  For my card I love Sunflowers and had these big beautiful Sunflower stamps from the Sheena Douglas collection. I thought they would look so pretty done in this style of card. So I inked up the stamps using versamark ink and then stamped them onto Strathmore 140lb Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper. I really like this watercolor paper it is pretty smooth. I then used white embossing powder and embossed the flower heads. I looked all through what stamp sets of mine that were easy to get to (I need to organize and get in my craft room still :( ... and I could not find any silhouette leaves to use for the background. So I pulled out my Tattered Angels stamp set called Flowering Vine and used that which I think turned out really pretty!

Here is a closer look at my Sunflowers:

I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers to color the flowers. I scribbled some of the marker color onto my craft mat and then spritzed some plain water separate and then watercolored onto the paper. The colors I used were: Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, and for the flower centers - Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo. I love the detail in the flower centers with all the little flicks of white from the embossing powder.

For the background color of the card I used my large Pumice Stone Distress Pad and smooshed it onto my craft mat twice and then spritzed some water onto it and watercolored the background. Pumice Stone, when watercolored, takes on a really cool look...it has some areas that look almost purple and I also had some areas that looked like they had kind of a green tone. So I really loved it. Then what I decided to do before my card front was dry was spritz the top using Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. Here is a picture from the side a little so you can see this beautiful shimmer the gold gave to the card. This shimmer covers the whole card front so it is really pretty in real life:

I decided to use a Tim Holtz key for my "sentiment" for now because I wanted more of a generic card that could be used for a Sympathy card, birthday, thinking of you and the key just seemed perfect! Here is a closer look:

I liked how the key was not really silver, and not really gold but had some tones of each and since it just says "Life" it would be good for a variety of occasions! If you look at this picture you can see the kind of purples, greens, and grays colors that the pumice stone seemed to create! All in all I really love how this turned out! Thank you to K Werner Design for a great tutorial! I do have to say that after watching her videos and many of Jennifer McGuire's on watercolor backgrounds with Distress Inks.....I may have found my new favorite thing....so be prepared to see me do this a lot - LOL....you may ban me from you-tube watching in the future! :D

Now let's hop along and see what the Design Team ladies have in store for you...
