RE-OPENING THE STORE AND CHALLENGES

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to post a Happy News update! I will be RE-OPENING the Loves Rubberstamps Store on OCTOBER 1st! I have been making great progress in getting all outstanding orders shipped since I temporarily shut down in order to get caught up after the passing of my Father-In-Law. I will be caught up with shipping by Friday.

Once I get the store up and going we will be RE-STARTING OUR LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS CHALLENGES TOO!! YAY!! The Design Team ladies and I have been talking and we have way to much fun with the challenges to be down for too long :)

Our first challenge will be TUESDAY OCTOBER 7th - and it will be our ANYTHING GOES! We have some awesome sponsors lined up for you as usual! We hope that you will bookmark your calendars and join us!

Our Inspiration Blog posts here on this blog will be a little sporadic as we get the store and challenges back up and running so please bear with us :) We plan on resuming our Sunday Blog Hops on November 2nd.

Thank you to all of you again for all your love, support, kind words, prayers and standing by us while we went through these difficult times! It has not been easy that is for sure but with the love and support from all you, it makes those rough times a bit easier to handle.

We are excited to be back!!

Big Crafty Hugs!

Temporary Closing

This is a message from Laura she put on the Challenge Blog.  We will be back, stronger and better than ever before.

Hi Stampers and Friends -

My heart is breaking as I type this post and there is no easy way to announce this but I have had to make the tough decision to temporarily close our store.

We had to leave town unexpectedly August 17th for a family emergency with my Father-In-Law who ended up passing away on Sept 2nd. We will be laying him to rest this coming Saturday, September 20th.

While we were gone I fell very far behind in shipping orders and in emails. I did not think it was right to take on any more orders until I could get the orders that we have outstanding shipped or refunds issued so I decided to temporarily shut down the store until I can catch up with things.

I am hoping to have the majority of orders shipped or refunds issued by September 30th. If something changes with that date I will post it on our store's front page.

Emails will take me significantly longer to get through at last glance I had close to 2300 emails to sort through. I will be focusing on orders shipping and refunds issued first before emails.

After I get caught up with shipping, I plan on taking some time to spend with family as this has been a very emotional and stressful time for us.

Before I re-open the store, I will be ensuring that we have better resources in place to handle situations like these better in the future. I will also be restructuring the store and our product line offerings so that when we do re-open we will come back better than ever :)

During the time our store is temporarily closed, you will still be able to browse our products and pages on the store website, you will just not be able to make any purchases. Once I have a better time frame on when we will re-open, I will post it on the store's front page.

While our store is temporarily closed, I will also be discontinuing this challenge blog as well as the store inspiration blog. Once I get caught up with things and the store re-opens, we will consider re-starting the blogs at that time.

I know with the last few challenge winners, I still need to get your prizes to you and I will do so as quick as I possibly can. I have not forgot about you and I am sorry that it is taking so long for me to get to these emails and get you your prize codes.

.............................................

Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to seeing you when we reopen.

Holly and the Design Team.

It is an amazing program. If you would like to help here is a link to his fundraising page! Every little bit helps :)

Water Coloring with Distress Inks

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Marcy here to share a super fun card I made for today's inspiration!

Here is my card...

Today, I was feeling in the mood to take out my favorite distress inks to play a little.  I used one of my favorite background stamps, embossed the image and then added my Tim Holtz distress inks for some vibrant color.  I then sprayed some clear glimmer mist over my creation to give it the water color effect.   For the roses, I did the same technique using this beautiful stamp set called "Contemporary Roses" from My Favorite Things.  I'm definitely getting a lot of use out of this stamp set lately!  It is just so perfect for mixed media and water coloring which I love to do!  To finish off my card, I added some pink rhinestones and sequins from my stash.  I really love how colorful this card looks and just loving the Tim Holtz distress inks which are so versatile to use!

Here are the Supplies Used:
Contemporary Roses - My Favorite Things
Spiced Marmalade - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Peacock Feathers -Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Picked Raspberries - TIm Holtz Distress Ink

Have a wonderful Saturday and see all you next week!

Hugs,
Marcy

Have a Magical Day!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  It's Marcy here today for a card share!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  I've been feeling a little under the weather and I know it's from my household passing around colds along with the stress of busy hectic schedules the last few weeks.  I'm hoping to get some rest and relaxation this weekend.  Some of you may know that I love fairy and mermaid images!  So to make me feel better, I decided to create a card using a favorite theme!

Here's my card

The sweet fairy on my card is an image from the Pure Innocence collection by My Favorite Things called "Fairy Girl".  She's always been one of my fav images from this collection so I couldn't wait to create a card with her!  I colored up this cute gal with my copics and then decided to paper piece her dress which always looks so cute on these images!  The pretty papers I used are from My Mind's Eye called "Cambridge Court".   To finish off my card, I added some beautiful Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and some sequins.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Fairy Girl - My Favorite Things
Cambridge Court - My Mind's Eye
Peacock Feathers -Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Tuxedo Black - Memento

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!  We have a fun blog hop starting tomorrow so be sure to check back!

Hugs,
Marcy

May You Be Happy

Good morning and new day.

Shanna here to share a fun and easy card to make.
I should start sharing some Halloween projects soon. But before I get to those I have another quick card to share. I love adding twine and jute string to projects. It adds such quick pizzazz to everything.

I love this stamp set. It comes with so many different sayings. You should totally get this stamp set and make some HAPPY cards.

Don't Be Afraid to Sparkle

Hi everyone. Shanna here with a quick card. I love this stamp set it is so inspirational and amazing to brighten anyones day! Of course I made it girly. I am not sure men go around telling each other to sparkle lol.

I used some vellum, embossed the Sparkle on it, and cut it out using a spellbinder die.

I will ask is there a glue out there not visible under vellum?

I also used the die to cut out my own sequins.

Bats About You

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I hope you are having a great Holly-Day today.  Currently we are in San Diego!  Whoo Hoo.  For today's inspiration I have a cute and simple card.

This stamp set and the matching dies will be in the store soon!  I gotta tell you, I got real used to the matching dies that goes with each set and I actually had to hand fussy cut this bat myself, lol.  I colored him up with my Copic Markers and added some googlie eyes to him, lol.  At first I inked up the sentiment with black and then again with white ink.

Laura's father-in-law continues to do not do so well, so we appreciate your patience and understanding. Laura will be answering emails and shipping out more orders as soon as she can.   This is a very hard time for her family right now.  Our prayers go out to her and her family.  Especially her husband, Tim.

I hope you have had a chance to play in our current challenge, two or more pattern papers.  Tomorrow is a brand new challenge, so be sure to check it out!

Thanks so much for checking in on us,

Holly
