Tonight I have to go back to working the overnight shift at work and I am kind of dreading it. Ok...not kind of...A LOT - LOL! I think my feelings about night shift influenced my card for today...

LOL - What do you think? Think I am dreading going back to night shifts or what - LOL! This adorable stamp is called Lucy's Broken Dolly and is from Make It Crafty. I colored her up with copics and used Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Antique Linen, Old Paper & Pumice Stone - to sponge around my little scene on the top and used markers to make the floor. I wanted to keep the card pretty simple so I just mounted my little scene on a piece of black cardstock. I punched the edges with a Martha Stewart loopy border punch.

Here is a closer look ...

Now be sure to check out what the other Designers have for you today! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for the most chances to win! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Wildflowers

Hi Stampers!

Hope your Holly-Day Friday is going well! I am super excited for the weekend and some days off! I plan on getting crafty and getting ahead a little bit :) Should be a nice, relaxing weekend. I can really use one of those - it has been awhile - LOL!

The appraiser came today and now it is another waiting game. Our banker said that it usually takes about two weeks or so for them to get the report back and then after that we can hopefully get all the papers signed and put this mess behind us as well! Can not WAIT for that!

Now on to our Holly-Day Inspiration! Holly's card is gorgeous and a perfect way to ease into a relaxing weekend!

I think that this is so peaceful and serene looking with the colors that Holly chose! I love the elegant simplicity of it with the Sentiment as the focal point and the flower as an accent. The designer paper is vintage and so pretty too! Love it!

I hope you all have a chance to get crafty this weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Magnolia

Hi Stampers!

I have a busy night planned tonight! Nothing fun...I will be slaving away cleaning! GAH! The appraiser is coming tomorrow morning to take pictures and look at the house so that means doing all the yucky stuff that I put off as long as possible! Hopefully your night will be more exciting than mine!

Today we have a super cute card by Ceal to share with you today!

I think this Magnolia stamp is so cute with the little pose! I love the lay out and the papers that Ceal chose! So soft, summery and pretty! She colored this up using copic sketch markers. I will be starting to get the single markers and refills listed in the store soon :) Super excited for that!

Have you checked out our Red, White & Blue challenge yet? The Design team ladies did a STUNNING job with this color scheme! Take a look at the inspiration pieces and then come play along with us :)

Have a great day all!

The Bird Rescuer

Hi Stampers!

I just got home from work and wanted to do just a fun chatty post today! I didn't get a chance to create a project because I was visiting with my sister who is back from Florida for the next few weeks! She came over last night and we blabbed constantly until 11:30! We hadn't seen each other for months and we had a wonderful time chatting away :)

I only have two more day shifts and then I go back to overnights. Bummer for sleep wise...but awesome for getting store work done when it is super slow and nothing else to do! As long as the Internet works in our temporary dungeon. It doesn't like to cooperate always. So start looking for lots of new things being listed in the store...I don't know EXACTLY how many boxes of new stuff (a TON) that I need to list including some new stamp companies :) So keep an eye on our new items tab!

I wanted to share with you my little bird rescue...

We have had a robin build her nest on our front porch light and there were two little babies in the nest. At first I could barely see the little birds stick their necks up and open their mouths when they would hear the front door and then the other day I was talking to Tim in the garage and saw this...

This is one of the little babies getting ready to leave the nest! You can see it's little sibling just peeking out the top of the nest too! This one stood on the edge and just practiced stretching it's wings out and bobbing a little like it was getting the courage up to take off for the first time! I was surprised at how fast the little babies grow! Within about two weeks they are ready to leave the nest is what I read online!

A few days later I was weeding my garden, mowed the lawn and was trimming some annoying wanna be trees that keep tying to grow in our egress window wells and heard this loud chirping from one of them. I got all the growths out and spotted a little baby robin fledgling that was in the window well. Our window wells are pretty deep, about 2 feet or so, so I gently scooped him or her up and put it back in the grass. It sat there for a few minutes then started chirping away...I took a few pictures and caught it in mid-chirp...

After chirping for a few minutes the little one decided to take a little nap...

I checked back about a half hour later and the little bird was gone. I don't know if it was one of the babies from the nest but I looked around and didn't see any others nearby so maybe :)

Anyway that is my little bird rescue adventure...nothing too exciting but cute all the same :)

Well I better get some supper done then some orders packed! Tonight we are having Lasagna Soup which I found from my Pinterest Addiction. Here is a link to the recipe if you want to try it out! It is super yummy and has a special blend of cheeses you put in the bottom of your bowl and then ladle the soup over it called ...cheesy yum! Now how can a soup NOT be good when it has something called cheesy yum in it! Try it...you will love it!

Have a great night all!

Red, White & Blue at Loves Rubberstamps!

Hi Stampers!

I am back for my SECOND Post for the day! If  you are looking for my Crafty Sentiments Design Team Project just click here...

This week at Loves Rubberstamps we are doing a color challenge of Red, White & Blue! With Independence Day here in the US fast approaching, it seemed like a fitting theme :) You can go patriotic or just use the color scheme like I did for my piece.

I decided to use The Greeting Farm's Cheeky Beach. I love this line of stamps they are so cute and fun to color. I paper pieced her swimsuit and shoes with Royal Blue Glitter Paper. This was also my first time trying to create eye shadow using copics! I don't have very many colors yet so I kept it pretty light. That was scary adding it because if it didn't turn out well it I would have had to start coloring all over - LOL! But I am glad I tried because I think it turned out cute. Instead of coloring the flower in her hair I added a ribbon bow. My Sentiment is created using the Delicate Words Die from The Greeting Farm.

For my layout I chose to use the sketch from the Anyone For Anya challenge this week. I have to say that this sketch stumped me for quite awhile even though it looked pretty straight forward. I had a hard time figuring out what designer papers I wanted to have in the background. I think it took me longer to figure that out and how I wanted to do the corner decoration than it did to color my image - LOL! Here is the sketch...

I chose to us the strip at the bottom instead of the top corner and used rolled roses that I made with Night of Navy cardstock and placed them on top of flourish made with the Fancy Flourish Die-Namics. I added a pearl in the center using the Best Glue Ever and added some stickles to the edges for a little bling.

Here is a close up of my Cheeky Beach Cutie!

I used Copics and Spectrum Noir Markers to color her up.

Hair: E11, E13, E15, E18
Skin: SN FS2, E00, E11, E13, R20
Beach Ball - Spectrum Noir Reds
Lips - R59
Eyeshadow - E70

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you will play along in our Red, White and Blue Challenge! We have awesome prizes this week from the Loves Rubberstamps Store AND Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps!

Girl Power at Crafty Sentiments Designs!

Hi Stampers!

Today I will have TWO posts for you! The first one is my Design Team Project for Crafty Sentiments Designs! This week's challenge is GIRL POWER! This has a lot of possibilities so it will be fun to see all the entries!

Here is my inspirational piece:

I really love Crafty Sentiments Designs Manga Series of Digital Stamps, they are all adorable! I chose this one called Having Fun for my Girl Power piece because who else but a confident girly girl can pair a pretty dress with some rockin' pink high top sneakers!

I chose to try a one layer, clean and simple design (this is TOUGH for me!) because I wanted the image to be the focus and just pop of the page. I created my own border and hand wrote the DIVA along the sides and the "Girly Girl" sentiment is from My Favorite Things A LA Mode Polished to Perfection. Now...if you try a style like this learn from me...After spending about an half an hour - measuring with my ruler, making marks, drawing lines, erasing lines, drawing more lines, erasing more lines...I finally got it pretty even and straight...after I got my card done and was admiring my work it donned on me... I should have used my spellbinders rectangle die and made my border lines....GAH!!! No measuring, no erasing, perfectly straight....so NEXT time I will do that - LOL!

Here is a closer peak at my Girly Girl...

I colored her with copic markers mainly and one spectrum noir.

Skin: SN FS2, E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E13, E15, E18
Dress: RV000, RV52, RV55

I hope that you play along with us this week! Crafty Sentiments is giving away a gift voucher to one lucky winner...

Remember if you use a Crafty Sentiments image you get entered into the draw three times - just add a three to the end of your name so that we don't miss your project.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spanish Dancer

Happy Monday to all our Friends and Stampers,

It's Olivia's turn to inspire us today and she does so without fail.  If I had to think of one good thing about Monday, it's that we are going to see another Fabulous design by Olivia.  This is so cute!  Love the hair coloring and those fabulous roses and the great paper piecing.  I love her great design.  Makes me want to get out my stamps and copic markers and make something too!

This little cutie reminds me of my days as a child in Santa Barbara watching the fiesta parade.  Oh the dresses and the floats were so exciting to see and watch.  The dancers were Divine and they would throw candy to the children from the floats, I loved that part, lol.

Now not all of us loath Monday's.  Some of us are stay at home Mom's and Wives and love to see Monday's roll around after a busy weekend with the family.  So I hope those of who can stay home will make something to share with us.  We have a new Challenge tomorrow, and I think you will like this one, something about an upcoming holiday and the colors.....ooops, did I say too much?

Thanks for looking in on us.

Bear Hugs

Hello Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Friday!   It's my turn to inspire you with one of my favorite companies that Laura carries in her store, My Favorite Things Pure Innocence.  I am keeping with this weeks Challenge - Summer Theme.  The fair comes around here towards fall but fairs are typically a Summer event here in sunny California.

Does your children love to win stuffed animals at the fair?  My son does.  It's his most prized possession.  One time someone gave him a stuffed animal they won and he was equally thrilled to get that one too, lol.  We stay near the carnival section the whole day.  Rides and games.  We stand in the sun and watch our child and a friend go around and around and around, lol.

Thanks for checking in on us today!

Sitting Around

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Thursday to all of you!  Tomorrow is a sweet TGIF for me because I'm off for the weekend, yippee.  I need to get a lot of rest and stampy time in because next week is going to be busy, busy, busy at work.  We are getting a new Hospital EMR system in and it's going live on Monday.  So other than a few super users, there will be an even playing field with the rest of us who have no idea what we are doing, lol.  Oh and we have to work overtime  too!  But overall this is a good system to have in place.  There will be no more "guessing" what the doctor wrote on documents and everything will be time stamped, so no more fudging or forgetting times.  Thankfully it doesn't take a computer to take good care of patients, so no worries about that.  And I will have some over time money to buy some of the New Items, that Laura has added to the store!!!

I love this adorable Magnolia that Ceal used on her card, she colored her up with Copic Markers and used the cutest designer paper and dies.  I love the colors and the great design.

So how was your week?  Anything special going on over this Summer Vacation?  How about this weekend?  I plan to run down south to pick up my Grandson and bring him back for the weekend.  The drive back and forth will be, "our time", otherwise he will be glued to my Son and my Husband all weekend playing video games, lol.  But it will be great to see him and spend some time with him.

I hope you have some time to play along in our current Challenge,  Summer Theme.

Thanks for looking it on us today.

Now that you have been inspired, be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog Tomorrow for a brand new Challenge!  I think you are going to love this one.

Farmer Girl

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day Friday for me, I am off for the weekend and I am so looking forward to some quiet crafty time. Today I am using the the adorable MFT P.I. Farmer Girl. When I first saw this image, I thought of a country fair. The hay bale, two sentiments, a chicken, a chick and a pig image comes with her and I just love them all, they are adorable. I am using my Echo Park - A perfect Summer 6X6 papers. I love the air balloons in the background and the primary colors. The chicken wire is a new Die-Namic and oh boy, I have so many plans for this one! I am also using Die-namic Mini Tabs Quartet. I cut out a tab and then repositioned it over the edge and re cut it to make it shorter. I airbrushed the background with my Copic Markers and colored her up with my Copics as well. I inked her up with Memento Tuxedo Black and the paper is Copic X-press.

Have you seen all the New Items Laura has added to her store?  I'm not sure if anyone else gets as excited about the new items than I do.  It's almost like being a kid at Christmas.  I check the new items on a regular basis and then when they pop up, I start making plans and envisioning all the things I could make with all those cute images!

I hope you have had a chance to play in our challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  This week until Monday evening, the theme is Masculine.  A perfect time to make those Father's Day cards, and little boy birthday cards, and every other occasion you might have for the guys in your life.   And you do not want to miss out on this Sundays Inspirational Blog Hop, the Sunday designers inspire me each and every week!

I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for checking in on us.

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It was so good to see a post from Laura and her adorable project!  (See below).  I know we all miss her and her stories, I sure do.

Today I have some cute inspiration from Ceal and again, she delivers the inspiration:

lawn Fawn (Dad's Day),
MME

Isn't this adorable?!  I love the pattern paper and the cute card design, that little tie is adorable.  And this fits right in with with weeks challenge Theme over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog - Masculine Theme.  I hope you have a chance to play along with us for a chance to win a prize!
Father's Day is right around the corner and this card is so perfect for any Dad.

Oh Boy! Masculine Themed Week!

Hi Stampers!

I really have missed chatting on here - however Holly has been doing A-M-A-Z-I-N-G at keeping the inspiration flowing while I have been taking care of Grandma, which means the world to me! Grandma sees the surgeon on Wednesday to see how her leg is healing and to see if she can start putting weight on it. She thinks that once she is cleared to walk that also means she is clear to go home but I told her she needs to be able to walk first and be able to get around ok. So we will see! Other than that, I have been busy trying to get orders out and emails caught up AGAIN! Seems like everytime I get a little ahead something else happens!

Anyway ...all last week I tried to sneak in a few minutes of crafty time here and there to get my Design team project done. This week it is masculine themes at both the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge and Loves Rubberstamps Challenge so my project will be inspiration for both challenges! That worked out great because with the limited crafty time it literally took me about 5 days to get this done - LOL! One night I colored the pieces for my boy in the chair, another night I cut all the pieces out and paper pieced it together! One night I colored the dog and other pieces, the 4th night I made the stage and cut the cardstock pieces, the last night put it all together! That was the longest drawn out project I had ever done, when usually it would take me a good solid, one evening since I am a slow crafter anyway - LOL! Oh well, it's done, it is cute and it, I hope anyway, will inspire you to join the challenges this week!

I created a Pop Up Stage Card so there are a lot of pictures...

Here is the outside...

The sentiment background is created with the Dad'isms stamp set from There She Goes. This set CRACKS ME UP...because I heard every one of these at least once growing up - LOL! The Dad ticket is from Crafty Sentiments Designs Just Words Set 2. The border edge is created using a Martha Stewart Punch.

Here is a look at the inside with the stage all popped up....

The stage floor I hand drew and then sponged to make it look like wood floors. The fireplace, radio, deer antlers and TV set are from There She Goes Stamps. The rug I created using a Spellbinders die set. The sentiment is one I made using the computer. The cute boy in the chair is called Taking a Nap and the dog is from the stamp Boy and Dog, both by Crafty Sentiments Designs. All my designer papers are from the Blissful Blizzard Paper pack from Fancy Pants Designs.

I think it turned out super cute :)

Here are some close ups...

I hope that you have a chance to get crafty with us this week because your project will be eligible to enter in BOTH the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge AND Loves Rubberstamps Challenge since they are both a masculine theme! SCORE! Plus both companies are offering AWESOME prizes this week...take a look...

Crafty Sentiments Designs - Masculine Theme - Not Just Father's Day - This week you can win this ADORABLE stamp...

AND... from the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - All About the Boys! you can win...
a $20.00 Gift voucher from The Paper Shelter.... AND a Gift Voucher for wither $10.00 or $20.00!

So AWESOME prizes from both companies! Hope you get to play along this week!
Take care & Happy Stampin!

Happy Monday Friends and Stampers,

It's Olivia's turn to show you some inspiration today.

And she does so without fail!  Isn't this the cutest Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl - Teacher! I love how she paper pieced the skirt and colored with her Copic Markers.   This is a fabulous card to give a teacher at the end of the year.  I know I am always on the look out for teacher images, both for teacher cards and for scrapbooking all those pictures I think I'm going to get to one day, lol.

I hope you are having a fabulous week!!!  Did you get a chance to blog hop with our Sunday Design Team?  They are showcasing Magnolia Stamps, so you do not want to miss out on that!  You have til late on Saturday to get your comments in to be eligible to win a prize!!!  And as luck and fate would have it, Laura has added some VERY cute Magolia's to the store!!!  So go check out what's NEW!

Thanks so much for Looking in on us!  We have a New Challenge coming up tomorrow, you know with Father's Day coming up you'll need to make that card....oops!  lol.

Just Relax

Happy Holly-Day! Friends and Stampers,

It's time to, "Just Relax" with this cute new Pure Innocence called Serenity.  I love this one!

I have to admit, I do not get enough meditation time.  There is very little time in my life where I get a few moments alone, but sometimes in mass chaos at work or home, I can close my eyes and meditate for just a moment and it seems to help.  There is nothing better than clearing your mind of all the muddle before it refills again, lol.

I just want to Celebrate

Hello Friends and Stampers,

Now I have that song, "I just want to celebrate" running through my head, lol.  Happy Thursday to all of you.  It's Ceals turn to inspire us today.  She does so without fail, take a look at this beautiful card.

I love the bright and sunny colors and the fabulous design.  Ceal, used Paper Smooches stamps,  and Bo Bunny paper.  What a great combination.  I often try to do a clean and simple card, and then I fail miserably because I always feel like mine need one more thing, lol.   Sometimes I see clean and simple and think it might be missing something, but Ceal delivers every single time with spot on perfect cards.  I just love them.

Have you had a chance to hop along with the Sunday Blog Hop for a chance to win a prize?  You have until Saturday evening to leave your comments, so you don't want to miss out on that!  We also have our current challenge going on right now - Anything Goes!  So head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog.

Well, School came to an end last week and this was the first week of Summer vacation for my little guy.  Unfortunately both of us work, so he is in daycare.  He has been going to the same daycare for 8 years now.  He started there when he was two and now he is ten.  He goes for Winter break, Spring Break and now Summer Vacation.  I always feel bad for him.  So this year I offered to let him stay home on EVERY one of my days off during the week.   After his first day at daycare, he informed me he would be missing out on BIG things if he stayed home. lol.   Doesn't that just figure?  And no, I am not taking advantage of the time to clean and reorganize....I'm stamping and coloring! lol.

I hope you get some time to get inky and join us in our Challenge.  Don't forget to keep checking the, What's New, button over at The Loves Rubberstamps Store.

Thanks for checking in with us today,

Holly
