Corner Bookmark With Benson!

Hi Stampers!

I am back for post number TWO today! If you are looking for my Loves Rubberstamps Design Team Post just click here.

This week at the Crafty Sentiments Design Challenge the theme is ANIMALS. I happen to love animals and you can feature any type you want from the animal kingdom, bugs and creepy crawlies included if that is what you want to use!!

I stuck to a more fuzzy and cuddly version of animal to use... Benson Bear Bundle of Hearts! This is my FAVORITE Benson image, it is just too cute! I decided to make a corner bookmark, which is a first for me. I love how it turned out and will be making more for sure :)

I used Simple Stories Handmade Holidays Paper Pack and my sentiment is from My Favorite Things Bookmark Basics stamp set.  I have had the felt red heart for awhile just waiting for the perfect project to use it on :)

Here is a look at the back...

And lastly here is the bookmark doing it's job :)

Be sure to play along in the challenge this week! They have a super cute animal stamp that you could win.

Also TOMORROW...there will be two more new Harriet Stamps! Suzette has given Harriet a Makeover and she is the cutest little image EVER! So you will want to visit the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store tomorrow to get your hands on a new Harriet - or Two! Once you see them you will want them both...trust me :)

Well...I better get to bed! I will be updating this post with the challenges I am entering this in, when I wake up!

Have a great day all!

A Fistful of Flowers

Hi Stampers!

Here is post ONE from me today :) It is a day full of fun challenges starting...LOVE Tuesdays :D

This week our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge is EVERYONE'S FAVORITE.... ANYTHING GOES! YAY! We do these the first week of every month and it is so fun seeing so many players and visiting the blogs!

Here is what I created:

This super cute image is from the Whimsy Stamps Crissy Armstrong Collection called A Fistful of Flowers.I just love her sweet face! Now...she is not currently in the store, but we do have her in and I will be getting her added in the next few days with loads more stuff :)

Check out my new Butterfly Watermark! I have had this for a looooooong time and finally found a program to use where I could add it to my pictures - totally LOVE it! Now if only I can figure out my blog post signature one - LOL!

The papers are used are from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh Collection. I colored her with a mix of copic markers and spectrum noirs. I tried the Copic X-Press paper for the first time tonight instead of my usual Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth and I did notice a few differences between them...

Copic-Xpress seemed to bleed through more when doing lots of layering, BUT the ink always soaked in, it never stayed wet and smeary on the top. I found I didn't get out of the lines as much either when coloring closer to the edges. I also think this one has a bit of subtle sparkle which is really pretty.

Crafter's Companion - didn't bleed as much but, it was easier to go outside the lines and when you do a lot of layering with certain colors (noticed it happen with hair combo E13, E15, E18) It is almost like it gets a glaze and the ink won't soak in anymore. It takes a very long time to dry when it does that and there us always like a wetter looking spot, even when dry. Does that make sense? LOL!

I actually like them both, they both have some good and bads and are about even. Anyway...that was way off topic - LOL! For my layout I used this sketch from Stamp With Fun:

I also decorated the inside of my card to match the outside...

Also here is a final close up of my Image...

I need to remember to start writing down my marker colors so I can post them! Sorry about that!

I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week in our Anything Goes Challenge!! Also be sure to keep your eye on the New Items section in our store so you can see when this cutie is added :)

I will be back later today with my Design Team post for Crafty Sentiments Designs :) Have a great day all!

Feeling KRAFTY!

Hi Stampers!

I am SUPER... OVER THE MOON EXCITED!! I just received an email from a very well known, mega talented stamp artist and she has chosen our store as one of the select few that will get to carry her stamp line!! She is limiting the retailers to just a small handful so I am super excited we get to be one of them! I have admired her work for a LONG time! I am going to keep it a surprise for a bit though...but I can promise you will LOVE her stamps!

We also want to thank everyone that applied for our Design Team term for the September - December session! We had so many amazing entries - that Holly and I will have our hands full narrowing our choices! It won't be easy as we feel every person that applied had something very unique and special to offer and would make a great addition to our team.

Today is Monday so that means we get to see a mega dose of cuteness from Olivia! Yay!

Olivia chose this super cute image from The Greeting Farm's Oliver and Amelia series. She colored him up using copic markers on Kraft paper. I love the look of this style, but I think it is a little intimidating until you just try it! It creates a neat look I think. That gorgeous designer paper is from the Crate Paper Farmhouse CollectionHer sentiment was layered on to a super cute mini doily created using the Mini Doily Die-Namics Die Set from My Favorite Things.

Totally adorable and such a cute masculine or boy card! LOVE it!

You still have a few hours to get in on this week's Loves Rubberstamps Skinny card challenge! It is fun to try a new size card once in awhile! I never would have thought I would love the skinny card size until I tried one! You should try one too and then show it off in our challenge :)

Have a wonderful day all & thanks for stopping by!

You're Special To Me

Happy Saturday Stampers!

I hope your weekend is off to a good start.   And I hope you are able to get a little inky with us today.  For some Saturday Inspiration I have used this adorable MFT image called you're so special to me.  I feel drawn to this image and as I was coloring her up, something seemed vaguely familiar to me.  And then it dawned on me, oh yeah, I used her not that long ago, lol.   But you know, I was already in the zone, so I just kept coloring.  The little flower spray I used on the inside comes with this image, along with some other flowers and words.  I love it.  I think I might have to keep this one handy just to decorate the insides of my cards a little more.  I usually put a little strip of paper left over from the front on the inside cover, but added the spray of flowers just adds a finished look to it, to me.

Have you had a chance to play in our Challenge yet?  I showed you another tall and skinny 4X9 card yesterday.  When I first read this challenge, I didn't think I would like this size but OMGosh I can all of the sudden make so many more, lol.  So give it a try and see what you think.

I hope you have been by the store to see all the NEW ITEMS that Laura has been adding.  I'm so excited!!! You don't want to miss out on the preorders.  Total cuteness!

Okay, I'm off and running, but I hope you to come back here tomorrow and join us for our Design Team Blog Hop.  More chances to win a prize, just be hopping and commenting, so easy!

Thanks for Looking in on us today.

Hey Watcha Doing Over There?

Hello Friends and Stampers!!!  Happy Holly-Day!!!

It is Holly here filling in for a not feeling so hot Laura today.   I hope Laura is feeling better soon, fevers are no fun!

Isn't Hollis the funniest image?  He is not listed in the store yet, but I wanted to know how many of you wanted to see these cute Art Impressions called front and backs in the store?  If you like Hollis and would like to see more, please send Laura an email.  There is no point in investing the money in a whole new line if there is not going to be a big demand, so we want our customers to let us know.  No only are the images funny, they are fun to bring to life and easy to color with Copic Markers.  There are hashes and dots where the shading part should be the darkest, so it's a lot easier than it seems.

I am also using the theme this week in our Challenge, tall and skinny.  So this is a 4X9 card that will fit in a legal envelope.   I had fun with the die-cuts creating a scene.

I am so happy it's Friday and I am off for two whole glorious days!  I have a lot of house work and laundry to do this weekend to get ready for a new work week, but oh, I also have mojo so I will at least do the laundry, lol.  It's not like I have to beat it against a rock after all.  And I will run around really fast as if I have company coming in a couple hours, and that should take care of the surface stuff, and then I will be able to sit and create something new guilt free.  That's my system, lol, how about yours?

This is also the last week of our Design Call, so we would love to see your entrees and perhaps you can join us on the team!

I have an extra project to share with you tomorrow, see you then...

Cupcake Belle

Hi Stampers!

Today will be a quick post because I am not feeling very well today. I am running a fever and feel like crud, but I wanted to be sure to share Ceal's adorable card today! It is totally adorable!

This little cutie is called Cupcake Belle and she is from the Retailer Exclusive series Fairy Tales from C.C. Designs.  That means that you can't buy this line from C.C. Designs, only through Retailers who carry their collections! We have just added some of the newer lines, and have loads more C.C. Designs Stamps coming also! Be sure to check them out!

Ceal colored Miss Belle with her copic sketch markers and used the out of the box technique on her image panel. This technique is so fun! I totally adore the cupcake paper that Ceal chose as well, looks perfect and Ceal did a great job coloring her image to match!

Well, I am off to lay down and hope that this crud does not last, because I have way to many things to do to be getting sick! Have a great day all!
