Up, Up & Away

Hi Stampers!

Happy Holly-Day Friday! Do you have any exciting plans for the Holiday Weekend? Tomorrow night we will be racing as it is Season Championship Night. Tim is second in points and only 18 points away from the 1st place driver, so it was a really close run this year. He did a great job this year! Sunday he has to take the race car to the track to get pre-qualified through tech for the Super Nationals that start on Monday and last through the 8th. We have to race Monday for sure, and then possibly Tuesday and Wednesday depending on if he qualifies for the main race on Monday. I am hoping that he makes it in on Monday, that way we can just relax the rest of the week until the main race on the 8th. So we could be racing a lot next week or not, depending on when he makes it in the show! Fingers crossed for me that it is Monday - LOL!

Now enough of me blabbing...here is Holly's gorgeous card that she has created to share with you today...

Isn't this so pretty? I love the rich colors and the layout is so cute! Check out the little clouds that are done on designer paper! L-O-V-E it! This stamp set is called Inspired By Up Up & Away from My Favorite Things and is from the "Inspired By" collection. This is one of my favorite lines because the stamps are more realistic.

Here is a list of all the products that Holly used on her card today:

X-Press It Paper
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black

Holly kept her card in line with this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge of using your favorite color combination! Holly's favorite copic color combo is -  Teal, Yellow, Pink, Black. The fun thing about this challenge is you find some new color combinations you may not have thought of putting together ...but when you see them - it looks amazing! I have already found a few new "favorite" color combinations to try myself! I hope you play along with us this week - we have 3 amazing prizes this week!

If you are traveling this weekend stay safe! Thanks for stopping by!

Cross Stitch Cutie!

Hi Stampers!

I feel like it has been FOREVER since I have chatted with you on here! I know it has only been two days but that is a long time! I have been super busy with zilch for crafty time...but hopefully that will be changing starting tomorrow! I get to start a mini vacation and plan on getting ahead while I am off :) That is my plan anyway...we will see how it goes - LOL!

I have a couple of things quick and then I will share with you Ceal's adorable card that she created to inspire you!

First...Be sure to check out the Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspiration Blog today! One of my super talented DT teamies will be giving away a gorgeous project that she created using one of the new release stamps! I have seen a picture of it and it is lovely! So you don't want to miss the chance!

Second...on Tuesday we started a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge of using your favorite color combination...AND we have 3 amazing prizes this week so you will definitely want to play along!

Now...on to Ceal's adorable card!

Ceal created this adorable card using the Magnolia image called Cross Stitch Tilda. This is an older Tilda and we will be starting to offer the older lines in our store, fairly soon! Magnolia does not really seem to "retire" images and there are quite a few of the older collections that we are still able to get. It makes it nice to be able to get those older images that maybe you missed out on when they were first released.

I love the color combination that Ceal chose and that purple designer paper is beautiful! This is a really cute layout too! Ceal colored this cutie with her copic sketch markers.

Well...I am off to get some more new items listed in the store! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

A Beautiful Life

Hi Stampers!

Hope you had a great weekend! I had a 4 day "weekend" but didn't get one thing accomplished that I had on my "to get done" list - LOL! I did however take some time to just kick back and relax a little, read a book and actually watched some TV which is a rarity for me most of the time it seems. We had 2 family get togethers - one Friday and one last night so that was nice to see family that we haven't seen for awhile!

Before I share today's adorable Inspiration project with you I wanted to let you know about a special that CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS is having today ONLY! All of the new Rubber Stamps are available on their website (you saw a few sneak peeks from me last week :) As a treat if you order today they will send a FREEBIE as well! This is TODAY ONLY and when you order be sure to put FACEBOOK in the note section!

Now on to Olivia's Project!!

Olivia does the most adorable Scrapbook Pages! I love this one! She created this page using the new Echo Park Beautiful Life 12x12 Scrapbook Paper and Accessories Kit.  I think it turned out super cute and is such a great layout! The colors in the paper match the pictures perfectly! I love the hearts and the rosette accent too! Be sure to swing by Olivia's Blog and get even more details on her scrapbook page!

Have a great day all and thanks for stopping by!

One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $10 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher!  Remember, you have til 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments!

This week is a bittersweet one for us as this is the last Sensational Sundays Hop that we will have with - Lydia and Ivonne. They are moving on to other things. Next week we will be doing the hop with 3 of our 4 new Design Team Members! Our New Design Team Members who will be joining us are:

Nina AKA PaperDaisies - PaperDaisies

and we have added a VIDEO DESIGNER who will be sharing Tutorial Videos on our
Indah Permatasari - Amberlycraft

We are SUPER excited to have these 4 talented ladies joining us!

Also before we start the hop - I didn't have any crafting time this week so I thought I would share with you what our race car wrap will look like. If you remember a few months ago the Pink Heals Tour came Ames and I arranged for them to stop and surprise my Grandma who is battling breast cancer. The founder of the Pink Heals Tour found out we had a race car and asked us if we would be interested in having a "Pink Heals" race car. We said YES we would be honored to support their cause. Well we have our final proof back and this is what it will look like...

We are going to get signatures on the car also of women battling cancer, or people to sign it in memory of someone. We will also be talking it out to fundraisers with our local Fire Departments too.

Dave the Founder of the Pink Heals foundation told us that we needed to name our car for someone and that it should be outside of your family, so people knew your heart was pure in your reasons for supporting the cause. Well a guy that Tim works with has a niece who is fighting a super rare form of Lymphoma. There are only 3 cases in the United States. Because it is so rare they don't have any idea what the future may hold for her. She just started 4th grade and has already had to have a kidney transplant and this disease also affects her cartilage where it disappears so it is really painful. We decided to name our car for her story so it is called "Emily" If you want to read more about Emily's Fight she does have a Facebook Page which you can see here: Help Emily Koesters

I will post pictures of the actual car once the new body is on it :)

Now be sure to check out what the other Designers have for you today! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for the most chances to win! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
Just in case you get lost along the way...

Have a great time hopping along with us!!

BOY ... OH BOY!

Hi Stampers!

Happy Holly-Day Friday! I hope you have an exciting weekend planned!  Tonight we are supposed to go out to eat with Tim's Sister and Brother to Olive Garden. I have never ate at an Olive Garden so I was looking at their menu online to try and see what I "should" eat that isn't too horrible for me - LOL! Trying to make better meal choices eating out is tough sometimes! They do have a "Lighter Side Menu" that has some pretty yummy sounding things so that helps :)

I am glad that today FINALLY arrived because I have to tell you...Holly had created her super cute card that I am sharing with you today a couple of weeks ago and it has been sitting in my Holly folder torturing me because it is so darn cute!! I wanted to share it right away and not have to wait - LOL! So finally ...I can share it!! YAY!

Isn't this the most adorable little boy car EVER??? I love this image! This is the Morehead Boy stamp set from Crafter's Companion. This line is retiring from Crafter's Companion so if you want them...get them ASAP! Not sure how much longer we are going to have them!

Holly did such an amazing job coloring this cutie up! I love the designer papers, the layout...EVERYTHING! The inside is super cute too, especially with the Barb Wire Fence Die-Namics!

Here is a list of what Holly used on her card:

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit Holly's Blog and let her know how adorable this little guy is!
Have a great day!

The Skies the Limit

Hi Stampers!

Hope your week has been going good so far! It is almost the weekend which I am excited for since I don't have to work it - LOL! I am hoping to get a bunch of new items listed in the store though :)

Thursday means we get to see some Inspiration from our Queen of CAS Designs ... Ceal! CAS is so hard for me so I always enjoy seeing how she creates projects using this style.

This card is a really cute, almost one layer card that you can use for many occasions, AND as an any person recipient! This uses the adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set called Blue Skies and she colored the balloons with copic markers. I really love how Ceal layered the balloons!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am going to get some orders packaged up, try and get a few projects made and then plan on working in the store the rest of the evening :)

Have a wonderful day!

Crafty Sentiments Designs - Sneak Peek Day 3!

Hi Stampers!

This is the final day of the Crafty Sentiments Designs SNEAK PEEKS. On August 22nd they are releasing 10 new stamps you will love, including a new character! I am super excited for this release - such gorgeous stamps so far!

Today you get to see the upcoming stamp called Princess Mask. Here is my inspirational project using this beautiful stamp:

This is my first time making one of these "Magic Cards" as they are called. The tutorial that I followed for this is written by Marianne and you can find the tutorial here. There is also an awesome video on YouTube done by Tracy MacDonald that is based on Marianne's tutorial as well.

The Designer Paper that I used is my newest addiction :) It is the Gorjuss Girls Paper pack that we will be getting in the store soon! The edges are punched with a Martha Stewart Punch and then I added pearls. I used a Spellbinders die to mount my image on. There are some prima flowers, pink rhinestone bling flourishes and a Tim Holtz Tag that I distressed with Black Soot Distress Ink. I also added a few branch punchies from the Martha Stewart Branch punch with my flowers as well.

Here is a look at the inside of my card: The middle section flips up. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz.

Here is a closer peek at Princess Mask.

Be sure to visit the Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirational Blog to see even more adorable projects by the Design Team and some special Guest Designers!

My FIRST Paperbag Card!!

Hi Stampers!

This is my THIRD and final post for you today! Be sure to check out my Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Inspirational Project AND my SNEAK PEEK project for Crafty Sentiments Designs - Lilly Fairy!

This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs the challenge is COLORFUL! I decided to try my hand at making my very first Paperbag Card! I have just fallen in love with making these! They are so fun and a great way to showcase a few of your favorite images!

I will warn you now...this post is PICTURE HEAVY!

Here is the cover:

This image is called Tess Summer Fun. I think this image is so pretty and she was so fun to color!  Here is a Close Up:

This is the inside when you first open the paperbag:

Here is a closer look at the the page on the left side of the paper bag...

This image is called Flora With Flowers and is one of the Manga Digi Stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs. I love this series of stamps - they are so cute and fun to color :)

On the little pull out post card the back side is a white area to journal or write a note on. The stamped image is from a Tim Holtz stamp.

Here is the page on the right with the Fairy Poem that I printed from the Internet:

This image is called Flora and again is from the Manga Digi Collection. I added some stickles to her wings and lots of pearl flourishes. Here is a closer look...

I also created a pull out  insert that goes in the opening of the bag...

The image on the insert is called Taski. I think she is so cute! The image again is the Tim Holtz stamp that I used on the journaling card. The black flourish corners are created using the La La Land Filigree Corner Die.

Here is a closer look at Taski. I added stickles to her wings from some bling.

And finally here is the back cover...

I kept the back pretty simple. All the Designer papers that I used are from Graphic 45.

I hope you enjoyed my project! I am looking forward to making more of this style project! They are perfect for sliding a little stamp or other small gift inside with the insert page as well!

Come play along with us this week at Crafty Sentiments Designs - we want to see how colorful you can make your project!

Thanks for stopping by for all THREE of my posts :) Have a great day!

Today you get to see the upcoming stamp called Lilly Fairy. Here is my inspirational project using this beautiful stamp:

For my project I used Designer papers from My Mind's Eye. That beautiful circle sentiment is from the Crafty Sentiments Designs Digi Stamp Set called Birthday Circles. I colored Lilly with a mix of Spectrum Noir Markers (Reds) and Copics (everything else)

Here is a look at the inside of my card:

I decorated the inside with the same layout. I added a Die Cut using the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Die called Medium Leafy Flourish.

A Little Bit Grumpy...

Hi Stampers!

Today will be another super busy day on my blog! I hope you don't mind all the Inspiration Projects :)
I will have THREE posts again today! This post will be for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge!
This week will be fun! We want to see ROUND or SQUARE cards! I am starting to love square cards a lot and find myself making them more and more. I usually do mine in a size 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" because I don't have many 12" x 12" sheets and that is the biggest size I can get out of a standard sheet of cardstock.

Here is my project:

This week we are generously being sponsored by The Paper Shelter so I used one of their adorable images called - "A Little Bit Grumpy" I love this little fairy and she reminds me of a little grumpy teenager with that attitude - LOL! I colored her with copic markers.

That gorgeous paper with the stripes is my new addiction! This is from the Gorjuss Girls line which I am hoping to get listed in the store TONIGHT! I need to hurry before I use all the paper up - LOL! The paper with the butterflies was a piece from Graphic 45.

I added some netting, ribbon rose trim and black ribbon with pearls and then my die cut sentiment is created using the Delicate Words Die from The Greeting Farm. I LOVE this die and we just got them back in stock :)

For my layout I used this week's sketch from - Stamp With Fun:

Here is a close up of my little fairy...

Hope that you will play along with us this week at Loves Rubberstamps! We love visiting your blogs and seeing your creations!

I will back later this morning with my Inspiration Project for this week's Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge AND another SNEAK PEAK of another one of their new stamps that is being released on August 22nd! So be sure to visit me later :)

Have a great day!

Thank You Mae

Hi Stampers!

Well...I am back for the THIRD and final post today - LOL! Be sure to check out my Crafty Sentiments Designs Sneak Peek Post... AND... my Guest Designer Post for Creative Creations Challenges!

Today is Monday which means here on the blog we get to see a mega dose of cuteness from our Design Team member Olivia!

Olivia used the super sweet Thank You Mae from Some Odd Girl. This is a new line that we have added to the store recently! I still have some more to add in to the store which I will be working on this week :)

That gorgeous paper that Olivia used is from Bo Bunny and is called Prairie Chic. Did you notice the paper piecing that Olivia did for the dress? Too cute! Olivia is the paper piecing master! I think this card is adorable and I really love the layout of this!

Thanks so much for stopping by today...all THREE times :)

Guest Designer for Creative Creations Challenges

Hi Stampers!

This will be a BUSY posting day on the blog today! Check my earlier post for a SNEAK PEEK PROJECT using a soon to be released stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs called - Off To The Ball!

I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Guest Designer for the Creative Creations Challenges this week! If you like challenges they have some really fun ones and today's was no exception!

This week their challenge is BINGO and here is a peek at their Bingo Board for their challenge:

I decided to use the line down the middle for my card - SENTIMENT, IMAGE & PEARLS. Here is my card that I created:

I used the gorgeous Saturated Canary image Fairy Wishes and colored her with my copic markers. I added a Tim Holtz Ticket after crumpling it up and sponging the edges with Distress Ink in Black Soot. Speaking of gorgeous...do you see those stunning blue designer papers? Those are from the Gorjuss Girls line that will be going into the store today :) I just got this paper in and I could buy cases of this paper to hoard ... it is so beautiful! The layer of paper that has the words is from my Antique Aged Papers Pack from Bazzill. I added some of my favorite crochet lace ribbon  and prima pearls for my bling. I love adding Crochet Lace Ribbon to my projects because I love the vintage, shabby chic look of it and I also love the country style feel it gives to your projects.

For my layout I chose to use this sketch layout from the CLP Challenge #61.

I thought it was super pretty and plan on using it again :)

I would like to thank Katrina & Jill for allowing me to be a Guest Designer for their challenge this week! It is such an honor to design alongside their talented Design Team :)

Have a great day all!

Today you get to see the upcoming stamp called OFF TO THE BALL. Here is my inspirational project using this cute stamp:

I found some cute scenery paper in my stash that was complete with a little garden path so I just colored her up, cut her out, and popped her up on dimensionals! Such a super quick card! The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Here is a look at the inside of my card:

I used the same Designer Paper on the inside and just added a writing area using my Spellbinders Labels 22 Die Set.

Today for my project I decided to ink up a stamp that I have had for a long time but have not had the chance to get inky!

This stamp is called The Moth and is from the Ching-Chou Kuik Collection from Sweet Pea Stamps. The thing I love about this line is the stamps look gorgeous in monochrome, with no color coloring, or with coloring. Very versatile! I decided to color mine up using copic markers. I stamped my image in memento tuxedo black ink on the xpress-it blending card.

Now be sure to check out what the other Designers have for you today! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for the most chances to win! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Saturday Friends and Stampers!

I just wanted to pop in and give you a Big Thank You for looking in on us today!  Please come back tomorrow for our fabulous Blog Hop!  Our designers have put together some really great projects just for you and you do not want to miss out on the fabulous prize you could win just by commenting!

This is one of those ten minute cards that took me about an hour to make, lol.  I'm a slow and thoughtful crafter!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  I really love these Blueprints Dies, they take a lot of the guess work out of making a card.  I placed the large rectangle over the sentiment I wanted to use and I got the exact look it would give.  I love that!  And I'm also loving these new Echo Park papers Laura added to the store!

See you tomorrow!

Holly

Miss You!

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

Well what's left of it, lol.  Sorry for the late post, I just got off work and let me tell you, this week has been super busy.  My Grandson came to live with me while his mother is away for school, and we had a heck of a time getting him registered for school.   Our Son is an intradistrict transfer student at a school across town where my Husband works. It's one of the better schools in town and we have had nothing but success these past years.  He's going into the fifth grade this year.  So of course we wanted to enroll our Grandson in the same school, but there was a waiting list, and then we were told the waiting list was being held until three weeks after school started.  So we had to register him at the local neighborhood school and jump through all their hoops.  Then we had to figure out the daycare system and get him ready to go there for before and after school.   Yesterday the School my Son attends called and said my Grandson was accepted.  So then we were scrambling around to get that taken care of and of course the daycare doesn't have any openings and has a waiting list to get in, lol.  Lucky for us, there is a very prestigious daycare right up the block from that school and it will only cost us an arm and leg to enroll him there, lol.   But you know what?  He is worth it!

So this weekend we are going to run out and get two backpacks and two pair of shoes.  I already have pencils and a few other supplies.  I am waiting for that list the teacher sends home of the things they want their students to have for their class.  Then I will run out and get the rest of the school supplies.  It's been over 100 here all summer and will continue to be in the 100's until mid Sept or early October, so I always wait to get new jeans and long sleeve shirts when the weather changes.  I am never sure what size to get for winter in the big "back to school" rush at the mall.  So they start with a new shirt and shoes and wear those short pants they have been wearing all summer.   I always pick up a few things each month so that there is no huge "need" all at the same time.  It works better for me that way.

How about you?  Are you already for School to start?

I did make this little telephone Marci card and decided to stay with the Challenge theme this week.  I had seen these colors used on Delphine's Blog.  So I wanted to try them out.  I really haven't used that many different colors for hair, so I am having a ball using fun colors.

I hope you have a chance to join us in our weekly Challenge - Hair of a different color.  You also want to check out the newest members of our team while you are there.  Oh and if you haven't see the new Tiddly Inks and Some Odd Girls that Laura has listed in the New Items, go check them out!  I'm getting ready to pick up a few myself!

Thanks for Looking in on us today!  Have a great weekend!
