Somewhere...over the Rainbow!!

WAAAAAAYYYY UP HIGH!!!

LOL! Good Morning Stampers!

Hope you don't mind my singing! Believe me it is much prettier reading it on here than you having to hear it for real - LOL! I couldn't help myself when I saw Ceal's pretty card for today! Reminded me of floating off to some unknown destination!

Isn't this cute? Ceal used the Lawn Fawn stamp set called Blue Skies to create this adorable clean and simple designed card. She used some pretty papers from My Mind's Eye. I love how she layered the two balloons. Super cute design and you could really use it for many occasions by changing the papers and the sentiment! Her little baskets are colored with copic markers.

Be sure to check out this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge! It is an Anything Goes Challenge and I have to say...the Design Team Projects are all beyond gorgeous this week! Plus we debuted with our new Design team members who all did AMAZING jobs!

Speaking of AMAZING JOBS....coming this Saturday...our new Video Designer - Indah Permatasari of AmberlyCraft will be making her Video Debut here on our blog! I just watched the video and IT IS AWESOME! She did a wonderful job and I am super excited to share this new media addition to our blog :)  You will want to make sure you subscribe to her YouTube Channel - missambercrafts so you don't miss any of her fun tutorial videos!

Whimsy Stamps Guest Designer

Hi Stampers!!

I was lucky enough to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for this week's challenge at Whimsy Stamps! This week the theme is Masculine cards. I have to say that I find these one of my most challenging themes! Here is what I came up...

For my card I used the Whimsy Stamps Crissy Armstrong Digi called In The Doghouse. Pretty fitting for a "Masculine" card, huh? LOL! I printed the image out 3 times so I could layer the dog, flowers and grass to make it look 3D. I also popped the little bone on the house after adding some metal wire. I colored this with copic markers. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye and my embossing folder is a paw print one that is from the Sizzix Bears line. Not for sure exactly what it s called. I had to sponge everything with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain. I love this stuff!

Here is a closer peek at Tim  the little doggie!

Check out my doggie eyebrows! I added a little bit of liquid applique then puffed it up, colored it with copics, then took my pointy scissors and kind of made little "pokes" in the applique to make it look textured and kind of furry! All the sentiments that I used are from There She Goes Stamps. I hope that I have inspired you to play along at Whimsy Stamps this week!  I want to thank them for having me as a Guest Designer this week!

Thanks for stopping by today!

PEEK-A-BOO

Hi Stampers!!

If you are looking for my Cutting Café Design Team Project & Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Post - Click Here :)

Today starts a new Challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs! This week I am hosting the challenge, and it is my first time as a host there. Since September is here already, and the days will start turning cooler...I thought it would be fun to break out those pretty fall patterns and colors to use on your projects! So this week we want to see your FAVORITE FALL PATTERNS or FAVORITE FALL COLORS... or use both together!!

Here is my Inspiration Project that I created ...

This is a special card called a PEEK-A-BOO card and this was my first time trying one out! It really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The cool thing about this is when you open it up - the image changes! I followed a tutorial that I found on the mega-talented blog by Norma Lee - From My Craft Room. Click here to check it out.

For my cover I used one of my favorite Digi stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Mia. I think she is so cute with her blowing hair and would be perfect to use for Fall or Winter cards. I colored her with copic markers and one spectrum noir marker - DG2 (I think that is the number - it is a light green). I added some "fur trim" to her coat and boots using liquid applique. You can see I added quite a few of my favorite fall patterns on the cover... Houndstooth, Plaids, and Gingham! My little cornstalks were cut using the Die-Namics Cornstalks Die and the flower was made with my super favorite Die-Namics Die - Loopy Bloom! The sentiment on the front is from the My Favorite Things stamp set called Thankful Leaves.

Here is a look at the inside as you are opening the card... See the new image sliding over?

And here is the page fully opened with the new image in place!

For the inside image I used another Crafty Sentiments Designs Digi stamp called Blitz. She is also perfect for Fall or Winter Cards I think! I kept the inside pretty simple. I added another cornstalk from my Die-Namics Cornstalk Die. Mine is growing buttons not corn - LOL! I thought these were cute and matched my papers so what the heck, it is a new corn species called Crafty Corn :) - LOL! I added another die cut leaf to the inside. I forget to say that my leaves are cut using the Die-Namics Die called Fall Leaves. My sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Stamp set called Flower Silhouettes. I also used another favorite fall pattern ... Stripes!

Here are some closer looks at the images and my newly invented...Crafty Corn - LOL!

I hope that you will play along with us this week! It will be a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by today!

Polished to Perfection!

Hi Stampers!

It will be a two post day for me today :) This week I started designing for The Cutting Café again! I am super excited for that and can't thank Regina enough for having me back :) This week for our Design Team Project we could choose any file we wished to use.

This week is also our Anything Goes Challenge at Loves Rubberstamps and The Cutting Café is our Guest Sponsor so I combined my projects for this week :) My daughter's birthday is next month so I decided to create a little gift box and a matching card for her and be ahead of things when the time comes :)

Here is the set that I created:

When I saw that adorable little Nail Polish Box Holder Template from The Cutting Café I immediately thought of my Polished To Perfection A'La Mode and thought it would create the cutest set!

Here is a close up of the Nail Polish Box...

I actually used two different files from The Cutting Café to create this. I used the Nail Polish Box Template, which comes with templates for two different boxes, the one like I made and then a rectangular one. You can kind of see in my first photo that there is a little box between these two Nail Polish Bottles. You can fit one or two bottles of full size nail polish inside depending on the shape of the bottle. The sentiment on the Nail Polish Bottle is from the Nail Polish Shaped Card Invite Set. This comes with quite a few cute sentiments that you can decorate with.

Here is a close up of my card:

All of my designer papers are from the Authentique Lovely paper pack. My flower is from prima and I used the Martha Stewart Branch punch to create some little leaves. I had to use my Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress ink to ink the sides of everything. I think this is becoming a must for me :) I used Frantage for the second time and love how it looks. This time I remembered to heat from the bottom of my paper BEFORE layering I so it turned out better I think :) The rose trim is my FAVORITE and it is actually from Stampin Up! I need to buy cases of this - LOL!

You can't see it very good in pictures but on the nail polish bottle I used some frosty shimmer paint to make it look pearly like the frosty nail polishes have. It looks really pretty in person with the shimmery glaze on it.

For the layout on my card I used this week's My Favorite Things Sketch:

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back later today for my Design Team Post for Crafty Sentiments Designs! I hope that you will play along with us in this week's Loves Rubberstamps Anything Goes Challenge! Also ... be sure to check out The Cutting Café Inspiration Blog tomorrow afternoon to see what my fellow Design Team Members created and when you leave a comment on the blog post, you might be the lucky winner of the weekly giveaway :)

Have a great day all!

Presenting...The CUTEST 2013 Graduate!

Hi Stampers!

Happy Monday! Hope you are enjoying an extended Holiday weekend! Super Nationals start for us this week so it will be super looooooonnnnnggggg days at the race track! Races start at 3pm everyday and go until the wee wee wee hours of the morning and it is non-stop! It is fun though :) We found out that Tim also gets to race in a special race called the Race of Champions since he was 2nd in points this year! That will be exciting for him to race the against all the top drivers :) I will let you know how he does!

I wanted to share this cute picture with you quick before I share with you Olivia's ADORABLE project that she created to share with you today...

Here is the story behind the picture...Tim, Alicia and I were walking over to the grandstands on Saturday night to present a special gift to a great fan and friend. As Tim walked by this little boy said.. "Is that Tim Love...Hey is that Tim Love?" Alicia told him yes it is and he said "OH - I Cheer for him!" And he starts running after Tim - yelling "Tim, Tim, Tim... I cheer for you! "LOL! So Tim had to pose with his new found friend and fan during the National Anthem. It was super sweet :)

And now for some more adorable cuteness....

Now isn't this the most adorable graduate of 2013 that you have ever seen??? Olivia created this super cute scrapbook page using the Echo Park 12x12 Scrapbook Kit - Beautiful Life I think it is perfect to use for this! That sentiment is so pretty and the little ticket is perfect and so true! Seems like your kids grow up in a blink of an eye! I love the layout and how Olivia matted the picture! Looks AMAZING!

Hope that you all have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Remember last week when I shared the "sketch plans" for our race car? Well she is done...

Here is a write up about the car on the Pink Heals Facebook Page :) They posted it yesterday and it was up to 1,130 likes which we were THRILLED about! This is a cause near and dear to our hearts and it is awesome that we are able to bring awareness to this great cause and show our support all the women out there currently kicking cancer's behind! Let's get a cure!!

For my project today I decided to have some fun with one of my favorite Kenny K images - ELF QUEEN! I think she is totally cool...plus it is September and that means Halloween will be here before you know it! I didn't make mine "Halloweeny" but more like a gothic anytime card - LOL!

I colored her up with my copics and tried to make the bottom part of the image look kind of foggy and smoky looking - like she floats kind of. I used Frantage for the first time, I like the effect but I tried not to get any on my image. I see I got one little glob on there, but I think that is the point of it - kind of to get it everywhere - LOL! My papers are a mix from a few different companies Authentique Enchanted, Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve & My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Halloween. Here is a closer look...

My sentiment and the pitchfork are from an old MFT set that I had. I will be listing Elf Queen and the Frantage in the store very soon so look for both of them :) For my layout I used a sketch from Jo's Scrap Shack:

Be sure to check out what the other Designers have for you today!! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for the most chances to win to be in our drawing on October 6th!! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day!
