Hello Friends and Stampers,

I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Did you go out shopping for the Black Friday Deals?  Yikes!  I'm staying in!  I have plenty of scrappy things to do and I am not buying anything this year that is worth the small savings for all the crowds and traffic.  But I do like to hear about everyone Else's experiences, lol.

For those of you that don't want to brave the crowds...but want some awesome deals... we have a Black Friday Special that will be going on until MIDNIGHT - Monday December 2nd!!
You can save 25% off any size order!! Just use the coupon code:

It's a Happy Holly-Day Inspiration Day!  I hope you have today off as well.

Okay well it's close enough to Thanksgiving that I thought I would give it one more card, lol.  This goes along with our current challenge for Thanksgiving, Thank You, Thankful.  I also thought I would try a CAS design, but now I feel like there are layers missing, lol.

Have you seen all the NEW ITEMS that were added to the store?  I know the Some Odd Girl fans are going to be very happy!

Have a great day and don't forget to check in with us tomorrow for our Video Tutorial Post.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Friends and Stampers,

On behalf of the Design Team and myself, I want to wish you and yours a Very Happy  Thanksgiving.  For those of you not in the states, we hope you are having a wonderful day and get to visit with family and eat a lot too, lol.

Today is Ceal's day to show you some inspiration.

Lawn Fawn (Into The Woods)
Lawn Fawn dies (Stitched Leaves)

This is the perfect fall card.  I love the stitched leaves and the fabulous ribbon with the embossed wood and the cute sentiment.  Just fabulous!

This could also work in our Current Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog - Thanksgiving, Thanks, Thank You.  It is a busy time, but once the food is eaten and the left overs are put away, you might find some time while the family is napping from their full tummies, lol.

There are a few new items I am sure you want  to take a look at in the store.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and we'll see you tomorrow!

Holly and Laura

Thanks My Crafty Friends...

Hi Stampers!

I am back with my combination - The Cutting Cafe and Loves Rubberstamps Design Team Project :)
If you are looking for my Crafty Sentiments Designs Project just scroll down :)

This week for The Cutting Cafe we could chose Any File we wanted to work with. I decided to use one that I have had for awhile but had not had a chance to use yet :) I chose the Copic Marker Box.

This week for our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge it is all about giving Thanks. You can make a Thank You Project for someone special, or make it Thanksgiving themed. I chose to create a matching Thank You Card for my Copic Marker Gift Box :)

Here is the set together:

This week for the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge we are being sponsored by Saturated Canary so the entire Design Team used Krista's adorable images :)

Here is a close up of just my Copic Marker Gift Box:

Here is a close up of my card:

The Sentiment on my card and on the Copic Marker Box both come with the Copic Marker Box Template.

Here is a close up of my flowers. The Cream colored one was created using the My favorite Things Die-Namics Rolled Rose Die. My Branch punchies are created using the Martha Stewart Branch Punch.

Here is a close up of the Saturated Canary Image - Sketchie! LOVE her :) I colored her with copic markers. I added some Frantage and sponged the edges with Old Paper and Walnut Stain Distress Inks using my Ink Blending Tool.

The Designer Papers that I used on both projects is the Winter Wishes Collection from Bo Bunny.

I also used this card sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces for my layout on the card:

This is their last card sketch challenge :(

Thanks for stopping by again today :) Be sure to play along in our Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week!

Also go check out The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Blog to see what files my fellow teamies chose to use this week :)

I hope that you all have a safe Thanksgiving tomorrow and enjoy spending time with family! Eat lots and lots :D

Perfect Apple Pie!

Hi Stampers!

Well I feel like a complete DING DONG! I just realized that I didn't get my post pre-scheduled :( Shame on me! I was so tired Monday night I fell asleep really early and just popped over here to check some things and noticed that my post was not up! I am so sorry!

This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs we have everyone's FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE challenge...ANYTHING GOES! Whoot Whoot! Here is what I decided to do...

I have just starting delving into the realm of making pies - completely from scratch...even the crust - LOL! I have only tried Apple Pies so far and this is the Recipe that I use for my crust and for the Apple Pie I make. This apple pie is so good...tastes amazing warm with cinnamon ice cream on the side or cold! I still need practice on making my pie crust edges look neat and even. My husband is really good at that part - me not so much - but I say OH Well! The pie tastes so yummy - messy pie crust edges and all :) Maybe I will get some practice this afternoon if I have some time :D

For my recipe page this measures 8" x 8". That adorable image is one of my mega favorite Crafty Sentiments Designs stamps called Baking Pies. We have these ordered for the store and they should be coming in any day - our order shipped Nov. 11th so fingers are crossed :)

For the two recipe cards - these are actually a Free Download from Country Life Graphics. I loved that it had the Holly across the top  - matches the Holly in her hair :)

Here is a link to the page that has these Recipe Cards and some other cute Freebies. For my Designer paper I just used a few scrap pieces that I had left from my Simple Stories Handmade Holiday paper pack. This paper is from last season but is one of my favorites. Because the recipe cards take up quite a bit of room - I kept the embellishments to a minimum.

The flower is from Prima and these will be in our store very soon. I layered this on top of some crochet lace and the punchies are from the Martha Stewart Branch Punch. Here is a close up of my image colored with copics and a few spectrum noir markers:

I hope you play along with us this week at Crafty Sentiments Designs! They do not require the use of their images to play - but you get extra entries when you do! Also - Over the next several weeks that are giving away some of their DIES as the prizes for the challenge!! You definitely will want to play along!

Thanks for stopping by and I apologize that this wasn't posted yesterday! I will be back later today with my Cutting Cafe project and Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Project :)

Have a great day!

I will be entering this in the following challenges: (will fill out shortly!)

Waiting for the Fun

Hi Friends and Stampers,

This Thursday we are celebrating our Thanksgiving here in the states.  Our DT member Olivia has made the cutest card to show you some inspiration today.

Isn't she adorable?  She reminds me of being little and hearing about the upcoming holiday and watching everyone else gather and hunt for the great feast, and all she can do is sit and be good and wait in anticipation.  I can so remember the feeling.  That and knowing that after Thanksgiving, Christmas is right around the corner!!!  EEEEK!
I love this cute design and the dies she used, the colors are fabulous.  Great job Olivia!
Okay I know I always say this, but Laura has just last night added more NEW ITEMS to the store!  Winter and Christmas and Cuteness and Fun!  How cute is this one?!
SANTA HUG Rubber Stamp Santa Collection from Magnoliaor how about this one?
**PREORDER** New! JINGLE BELL RUDOLF Rubber Stamp Winter Wonderland Collection from Magnolia OMGosh I so need this cute reindeer!
New! Aladine IZINK - GOLD 15ml Pearly Pigment Inkand some new inks.   Trust me, go check out the NEW goodies!
This might be the only Monday of the year that I don't mind it being Monday.  Okay it's Monday but it's my Friday! I do have a few days off too. I'm going to try out a few recipes after the Holly-Day with the left overs. I have a few days off to play and of course I will get inky but I also want to try out some yummy sounding things I've seen on Facebook or heard about on Pinterest from my Pinning Friends.  Unless you have a better favorite left over dish for us to try! lol.
Also you have a few hours to play in our Current Challenge - Shabby Chic or Vintage!  and a few more days to Comment in our Sunday Blog Hop for a chance to win a voucher to the Store!   I hope you can join us for New Challenge tomorrow!
Thanks for Looking in on us and I hope you all (who are celebrating) have a very Happy and Stress Free Thanksgiving!

For my project today I am going to share a card I did awhile back for the Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirations Blog. I didn't have a chance to post it here yet so I thought today would be the perfect opportunity :)

I used one of the adorable snowman stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Snowman and Friends! I really love their snowmen images, of course snowman stamps are one of my weaknesses - LOL! I used some copic markers to color and then added lots of iridescent ice for snow sparkles. The papers I used are from the Winter Wishes Paper Pack from Echo Park. I love this pack - such pretty colors in it! The small snowflake and the border punch are both Martha Stewart punches and the larger snowflake is, I think a Stampin Up one. I punched the snowflakes from silver glitter paper for added bling :) I also used a card sketch but I can't remember which one now - LOL!

The Cutting Cafe - TURKEY TIME!

Hi Stampers!

I have a super late Design Team Project for you today! I have been having some issues with my computer that I use with my camera and haven't been able to upload my projects until it was fixed. Soooo...I am posting my Design Team Project for The Cutting Cafe TODAY! Again I am so sorry that this is late...but better late than never :)

This week we could choose from the Turkey Shaped Card, the Gobble Word Shaped Card or the So Thankful Circle Word Printable Stamp Set.

Now...I happen to think that Regina's Turkey File is the cutest Turkey you will ever see so I chose to use that one :)

I used some Mulberry Paper for the head and body to make him look soft and fuzzy. I used some scraps from My Mind's Eye Mabel paper pack. For the lay out I used this week's Simon Says Stamp Sketch.

I didn't have a banner die for the little sentiment piece so I just cut a strip of cardstock and folded the ends so it looked like a banner. My sentiment is from My Favorite Things Thankful Leaves Stamp Set. And of course I have to sponge EVERYTHING using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain :) I LOVE that stuff!

Well I better get this posted so I can let Regina know that my project is up finally! Be sure to check out The Cutting Cafe Inspiration Post and see what my fellow Design Team Members created using these files. There are some super cute ideas! While you are there be sure to leave a comment and you could win some FREE Cutting Cafe files of your choice if you are this week's lucky commenter :)

Flying Butterflies

Hello Friends and Stampers,

TGIF!!! Whoo Hoo!  I'm so excited for  everyone it's Friday and a Happy Holly-Day it is.  I made this card today to show you some inspiration.

Now as you may have guessed, I have quite the collection of these cute Pure Innocent images, so as I was designing this card, I had envisioned using the one where she is a little butterfly, so I searched  my stash and low and behold, I do not have her.  Oh well, probably an overkill anyway, lol.  I decided to use the On a picnic one and cut her out.  I used the negatives from the cut out butterfly and used them for leaves around her.  I was having way too much fun with this design, lol.

I hope all of you in the states are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving next week and that you a stress free day!  I think I'm watching football for sure and Joe is cooking the Turkey, lol.   I will help out with all the other fixings but Joe does make the best turkey around.  Speaking of Turkeys, I did hear on the news that butterball is having a nation wide shortage of fat turkeys!  I got one but not a very big one.  It does say hormone free on the label, which makes me happy.  God knows I have enough hormones already, lol.  So I am happy with a smaller turkey and if there are not enough left overs, we will simply buy another one and make it that weekend.

Have you had a chance to play in our Shabby Chic or Vintage Challenge?  There are prizes to be won!  And I know you will want to check out the New Items in the store to see what you are going to be adding to that wishlist!  Be sure to check in on us tomorrow for Indah's fabulous new video!  And Sunday for our Blog Hop!!!

Thanks for Looking and have a great day!

Fly By Thursday

Happy Thursday Friends and Stampers!

I hope your week is going well and that are getting ready for the festivities next week.  It's starting to feel fallish here in California now, so I am really enjoying the this change of weather.  Although I have been sick for a few days, it's nice to just hang out at home and rest and think about next week.

Ceal has made us a very pretty card for her inspiration day.

She used: Penny Black (Butterfly Symphony), Copic sketch markers,.

I just love that beautiful butterfly and the colors she used against the kraft background, so fabulous.

Have you had a chance to play in our Challenge this week?  It's all Shabby Chic and Vintage, so fun.  I can't wait to see what everyone has made and I will be around to take a look at your blogs.  Have you see the New Items in the store?  I'm so excited about the cute new stamps!!!

I hope your week goes by fast so you can enjoy the weekend!

Beautiful Life

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Hope your Monday is off to a good start.  I woke up super congested and thought a nice hot shower would snap me out of it.... but it wore me out, lol.  So here I am with my tissue and coffee, hoping it's a 24 hour thing.  I was cheered up when I saw Olivia's fabulous layout and design though.

This paper is so fabulous, so bright and cheery, I love the little tickets as well.  I need to do some layouts desperately, lol.  I keep hunting and gathering supplies and then when it's crunch time, I am more interested in making a card, lol.  But I do need to get some layouts done, especially from Halloween.  If I start now and move forward..... this is the conversation I have with myself frequently, lol.

Does anyone know any great layout designs or places to find them?  Laura has quite a few 12X12 papers for your layout needs.  And if it's words you are looking for, she also has a great selection of MFT to use.  I love the document it series.  She also has a great selection of dies, which everyone knows I NEED, lol.  I like to embellish with dies and I also like to add other Embellishments to pages.   So she has everything I need to get started but I still have a million and one excuses, lol.  I may surprise myself and everyone else soon, lol.

Be sure to check out the Challenge Blog tomorrow, I think we have a great Challenge for you.  I can tell you an inside secret:  Almost all the designers were challenged on this one and we all had fun trying to figure out what our version was... but you gotta come back tomorrow and see.  Of course there is still a few hours to play in our Black & White or Sepia Challenge.  This was a lot of fun as well.

Thanks for checking in on us and be well my friends.

Now for my project...Since I have been so busy this week...I still have my incomplete project that I was working on for our Tuesday challenge buried on my desk. I swear that I will finish it eventually and share it with you so until that happens I thought I would share a blast from my past...LOL!

Our challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps is a coloring challenge. You could color in Sepia or Black and white, or just do a black on black card or white on white card with your image colored any way you want. I love this challenge and think that these make such gorgeous cards. So I thought I would share with you again - my very first card that I ever made while trying to color in black and white. I didn't have any copic markers then - just the spectrum noir markers so that is what my image is colored with.

I really love the black and white color scheme with the pops of the real light pink. This is the image called Madison Has a Margarita and is part of the Uptown Girls Series from Stamping Bella. I really love this line - so cute! In fact...I did just get in the two newest ladies from this line and I will be getting them listed in the store this week. One lady is an super beautiful Mom-To-Be and the other is a Chef :) LOVE them!

Here is a closer look at Miss Madison...

If you haven't checked out the New Items that we have been adding lately - you need to! We have been super busy! I have just a few more Bildmalarna stamps to add and then they will be all in.

Video Tutorial - TISSUE HOLDER

Hi Stampers!

Hope that your weekend is going well! Seems like F-O-R-E-V-E-R since I chatted with you because Holly has been doing such an AWESOME job doing the Inspiration posts :) But I guess it has only been since Tuesday - LOL! I have been busy, busy so it really helps me out a lot to pop over here to do a post and see that she has done it - especially this time of year when orders are a lot heavier with the Holidays coming! And WAAAAAY too fast I might add!!

Have you done any Christmas Shopping yet? I haven't and I was mortified to realize that my husband and I only have TWO paychecks until Christmas!!! We each only get paid twice a month and both on the same day, so ... YIKES!! I am going to have to be figuring out, first, what I am going to get and then budget it out between the two. It wouldn't be so bad except my kids are older, so everything they want is like $600 - LOL...you know chump change stuff - LOL!

Every year I swear I am going to make some hand made gifts too. I really need to do that in January and make something each month instead of deciding about now that I really should try and make some things, and then having no time to do them. LOL! I never learn - LOL!

Today we have a GORGEOUS project for you by our Video Designer - Indah! She created this absolutely adorable Tissue Holder which is PERFECT for this time of year when everyone seems to catch colds.

I think this is such a cute project! I love these Anya images from Miss Anya Scarves by The Greeting Farm that Indah used! They are one of my favorite collections. I think that Indah did a beautiful job coloring Miss Anya - really pops against the beautiful papers that she chose!

Indah colored Miss Anya with copic markers after stamping her using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. This is one of the best inks to use when you are going to color with any type of alcohol marker!

Here is the Video Tutorial on how you can make your own tissue holder...

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Happily Ever After

Hi Friends and Family,

Happy Holly-Day!  Today is my day to post some inspiration.  I decided to stay with our current Challenge theme of Black and White or Sepia.  I already did Sepia, so this is my B&W.

I love this cute little couple, and they are so in love today. I could have added flowers or swirls to this, but I wanted to wait and see what the couples wedding colors were going to be and I wanted to keep this one B&W. I used my Copic Marker C's.

Do you have any weekend plans?  I am planning on resting and getting caught up on the laundry and cleaning.  I also hope to get a little inky in there some time.    I hope you will join us again tomorrow for our video tutorial and Sunday for the Blog Hop!  You also want to check out all the New Stamps Laura has been adding to the store!

Thanks for checking in on us.

Snow Day

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I am popping in really quick to show you some inspiration made by our Design Team Member Ceal.

Flourishes (Snow Day)
6X6 Design paper
 Copic sketch markers

I love the colors and fabulous design, this is so pretty.

I hope you will join us in our Challenge this week - Black and White or Sepia!
Be sure to check out all the fabulous new stamps Laura has added to the store, Here.

Are you getting ready for cold weather and snow?  I think we will go visit the snow this year but I am sure happy that we do not have snow where I live.  I can't imagine trying to drive in it.  There is nothing worse than a native Californian trying to drive in the snow, lol.  Thankfully my husband has lots and lots of practise driving in all kinds of weather, lol.

Thanks for looking in on us today.

Got The Blues...

Hi Stampers!

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs! This week we got the blues! Now...we are not talking about being sad, or the music...we want to see LOTS of BLUES on your projects! I really love the color combination of blues with some browns for Winter cards so that is what I did for my inspiration piece...

This super cute image is called Come On Teddy and is one of the new releases from Crafty Sentiments Designs that just came out! I colored this with copic markers. I added some liquid applique with iridescent ice embossing powder on the top to create my snow. The papers are from the Bo Bunny Powder Mountain Collection. It is kind of hard to see but on the top I added an embossed word that says "Winter" from a sizzix embossing folder I had and then added the Tim Holtz Ticket that says Play. The spellbinders dies are Labels 22.

I hope you will play along with us this week at Crafty Sentiments Designs!

I will be back later this afternoon with my Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Project so be sure to check back for that :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Sensational Sunday Inspirations + Blog Candy

Hi Stampers!

Hope you are having a great weekend. We went to our Nephews Prayer Benefit last night. We had a pretty good time. Tim's brother's band played and they had a large silent auction. I won one of those Sashay Ruffle Scarves. I really love it and think it would be fun to try and make some...I am thinking some Christmas presents maybe :) I found some videos on you-tube and they actually look pretty easy so we will see :)

One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly drawing for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher!  We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments!

Now for my project. I decided to use one of my favorite Crafty Sentiments Designs Christmas images called Christmas Helper. I am doing so good this year for Christmas Cards...usually I only get like 3 made - LOL!!

I colored her up with copic markers. I used a spellbinders die set for the oval die cuts. The designer paper is from the Bo Bunny Mistletoe collection.  This was a super quick and easy card, and is my version of a clean and simple design :) I just added a little bit of bling, a few flowers and a little tag.

Here is a close up of the cute Elf :) Now we will be placing our second round of Crafty Sentiments Designs Preorders on November 15th. The first round was placed and just wanting for them to arrive :)

If you haven't checked out the New Items that we have been adding lately - you need to! We have been super busy!

Be sure to check out what the Design Team have for you today ! They are such a talented group so I know that they will have some awesome things for you to see :) Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for the most chances to win to be in our drawing on December 1st!! Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
